This was a replacement for the identical 3 year old coffee pot that had stopped heating the water. It was worth the search for the DR Series to have a hot cup of coffee again. I love this DR Series because of the coffee pot design and the fact that it doesn't take up a lot of counter space.

I like having just one maybe two cups of coffee in the morning and this little unit is perfect. No coffee sitting in the pot getting stale. Prefer the white over black so you can see inside when it needs to be wiped out or run vinegar through to clean. Had a black one and can imagine how the coffee stained the inside and you didn't see it. The coffee maker has a small footprint so doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter - even better in a camper or RV. I did not get the auto on/off model as it wasn't necessary. Two minutes, get the coffee going, get the morning routine started and BOOM there is that inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Love that smell and love my Mr. Coffee; have owned several over the years.

Inside the water reservoir, the plastic tube that sucks in the water and pours it out onto the coffee grounds is too short, and continues to come out of the hole at the bottom of the reservoir, causing the water to boil, but doesn't make coffee, unless, with effort, you are able to reinsert the tube into the hole at the bottom of the reservoir. Annoying, want to return it, but not worth the effort.

This is such a great little coffee pot. Nothing fancy, just easy & makes great coffee. If you need a smaller coffee maker with no fuss, then this is the one for you. Highly recommend!

Yes it's the right size and yes it was the right price, but it does not have an automatic shut-off button and being a senior citizen sometimes I might forget so I really need my small appliances to have an auto shut-off button. I did return the item.

This little coffeemaker is all that it is said to be, plus it keeps the coffee very hot. I bought it to replace a single cup coffee maker that I returned because it shut off as soon as the coffee was done brewing, and a few minutes later I was left with cold coffee, unless I consumed it as soon as it finished brewing - I didn't like that so I replaced it with this little 4-cup brewer, and it's just excellent for what I need.

I purchased this item to replace the one I have been using for 15 years that was my mother's before me. The old one still works; I broke the carafe. I don't need anything with a programmable timer nor a big pot. This is perfect for my 2 cups of coffee per day and it only takes a few minutes to brew.

This is Mr. Coffee Model DR4, and it works fine. The best for me was that it can use regular size paper filters for 8-12 cup coffee makers. A minor drawback is that you should use both thumbs to snap the lid open, which covers both the coffee and water areas. Also, it's a good idea to have the decanter off the burner when you snap the lid closed, so that the coffee basket will be seated in its proper place. There is another similar model also available called Model TF4. It seems to be the same except that the front panel is gray and sloped.
