Got this as a Christmas gift to spouse as an upgrade to one we bought a decade ago. Love the retro color and shape - especially love that it has an on-off switch. Do like that we can immediately pop a second batch without overheating. He bought me a popcorn recipe book and we've loved experimenting and being creative. Don't love how many unpopped kernels end up in the bowl. Six months of use and we haven't figured out how to get less unpopped kernels in the bowl; they just come out hot right along with the hot popped corn. Our previous popper only shot out less than a dozen unpopped kernels at any time but this more than doubles it.

This popper is not worth it. The number of unpopped kernels that flew out of the chute was at least half!

I almost sent this back - it claimed that there were very few kernels left when done popping when, in fact, almost half of them didn't pop. Plus, it throws the popped corn and the UNPOPPED kernels out so hard that they fly all over the place - I put a towel over it and the bowl to try and contain it. I'm only keeping it so the grandkids can use it. Would NOT recommend this product.

I bought this because my son loves making popcorn with his grandma with an air popper. So I bought this so he can make popcorn. I also got this to make popcorn balls. Great buy. Affordable and serves it purpose. I love th color too. Goes with my kitchen.

Disappointing. Design shoots unpopped kernels out along with popped ones, about 1/3 goes unused or have to separate and repop to get a full bowk and even then about 1/3 if those get tossed out also. The unit gets extremely hot also. Family has another brand that does not have either of these issues.

So disappointed in this popper. it heats up fine-I followed all the instructions. When it started popping the corn went everywhere taking hot un-popped kernels with it!!! they went everywhere! I had a tall bowl to catch the popped corn, but it would just go all over the place! The butter did not melt all the way, had to put in a different container

It is 99% popping corns and I really like it. It pops very quickly. It would be also a nice gifts. I am using it almost every night sometimes 2 times in one night ;)) I do like plain popcorn. It comes with recipe book and you could make flavored popcorn. I really recommend it.

I wanted an air popper for quite some time. A combination of the reviews and videos of the popper in use made me skeptical, but at this price I didn't have much to lose. I've had the popper two weeks now and have used it almost daily. I strongly recommend you read the instructions before your first attempt and then read my advice below. I quickly realized that most of the people who made videos were simply not following the instructions. I use Orville Redenbacher's kernels to pop. It's the same $5-and change jar that they sell at every grocery store. I estimate the container will last me another 2-3 months which is well worth the money compared to the microwave bags. You'll never have a perfect batch where all of them pop, but if you follow the instructions the majority of your kernels (90-95%) will pop. Make sure the lid is secure before you turn on the popper. It doesn't really " lock " into place and is rather flimsy. I've knocked it off at least twice and when it comes off it can be tough to put back on once the machine is running. I recommend just pushing it down and making sure that it's sealed before turning it on. PREHEAT YOUR POPPER. This is absolutely vital. If you put the kernels in a cold popper they won't come up to temperature enough to pop. I turn my machine on and let it run for 5-6 minutes while I prepare my toppings and clean the serving bowl. I eyeball the measurements. For a personal batch it'd just put in enough kernels to cover the bottom of the scoop/lid. For two people I'd fill it slightly over half. For four or more I'd fill it to the top. I usually make a 2-4 batch. When the preheating is done I slowly pour the kernels into the machine. I found it's least awkward by holding the handle-end of the scoop towards the mouth of the machine where the popped popcorn comes out and pouring towards the back of the opening. Once you're done pouring PUT THE LID BACK ON. The scoop's handle should be facing the back of the machine. It'll take about a minute and a half to start popping and when it begins it'll be quite vigorous. Use the scoop to block the opening so the kernels falls back down into the chamber. I do not use the " butter melter " feature. I suppose the machine does get hot enough for it to work, but I don't want to be stuck cleaning the thing once it's done. It takes about 3-4 minutes to pop a half batch. I give it a stir and dump one tablespoon melted butter and one tablespoon olive oil mix over the batch. Give it another stir and add your seasonings. I flavor this stuff with all types of things, but I've become fond of the KenerlSeasons popcorn seasoning they sell in most grocery stores, Garlic Powder, Salt and Pepper, or sometimes just Cinnamon. Any cons? The machine does get REALLY hot when it's in use. I couldn't recommend this in a house with small curious children, small curious animals, or well intentioned curious adults who like to touch things. For a responsible teen/adult this a great buy. I'm actually tempted to get another one to use at work.
