So ridiculous and so wonderful, it not only works, but works quite well. One tip I'd suggest: make 3 very shallow cuts crosswise on each side of the hot dogs before cooking. It will help minimize the amount of curling, ensuring more even cooking and making the hot dogs easier to remove once cooked.

Bun always get caught, you have to keep trying to get the right bun and weiner done at the same time.

Everything about this toaster is flawed. The slots for buns are too small, and burn the edges while not toasting the middles. Normal buns had to be jammed in to fit, and they stuck to the sides of the toaster when they burned. The hot dogs do not cook with 1 cycle of toasting; took 3 cycles for my dogs to get cooked. Had I left the buns in the same amount of time, they would have completely burned to black. After only one run of the toaster, the grease from the toasting dogs left black marks all over the dog cooking area. Looked a complete mess, with no easy way to clean it up. The tongs that come with the toaster do not work. They are pathetic, and are not worthy of the word "tongs"; they look as though made using a wire coat hanger and pliers, but with zero functionality. The housing of the toaster is a cheap, thin plastic, and the metal parts of the toaster are thin sheet metal. This toaster is worthless, and should never have been manufactured in the first place.

Hot Dogs should never be eaten with out a toasted hot dog roll. This toaster makes it easy to toast the dog and the bun at the same time. You can even choose how dark you want the bun how much toasting you want for the dog. Fun, easy to use and saves a lot of time and mess.

Microwave? NO. Boil? NO. Grill? No time. Steam? Shyeah, as if! Hot dog toaster? HECK YEAH!!! They taste awesome! I'm not a big fan of toasted buns, which is fine since I have a little trouble getting them in the slots. Bun length hot dogs are too long, but that is an EASY fix. Others have suggested toasting once then flipping the hot dog on its other end and repeat the toasting. They come out perfect. There is a drip tray that pulls out of the bottom and cleans easily. I don't know why I didn't get one sooner. I'm about to go make a hot dog after this review just because I can.

I purchased this for an easy way to make a quick lunch during my long work shift. This unit works very well & I'm very happy with purchase. It is worth mentioning that large "plump" hotdogs are too big for this unit, and if you enjoy your hotdogs well done or burnt, you might need to cook them twice. If your hotdogs are too plump to get out of the toaster, wait a few minutes as they will shrink once they aren't so hot. The buns normally don't go down with the hotdogs, but I just give them a little tap to make them go down as well. Overall, for the price I paid, this is a handy little device and I've, as well as many of my coworkers, have gotten a great kick out of it!

This hotdog toaster has proven to be a great time and energy save for us. Especially handy for a quick healthy snack. Highly recommend as special and welcomed gift for anyone who loves hotdogs. Have already bought 2 more of this toaster as gifts for elderly in laws, and elderly best friend. They love their toasters too.

Does what it was meant to - cook regular sized hot dogs and warm up regular sized buns. Be aware that true to the label on the toaster it will smoke a little the first one or two times you use it. Once we found the correct setting (4 for us) we just leave it there and cook away!! We initially bought three Pop-up Hot Dog toasters as Christmas gifts. The intent was for us to give 2 away and keep one for ourselves. However, we ended giving all three away and everyone that received them , loved them. We returned in January to purchase ours and found they where all gone. Had to purchase it through WalMarts buy online and pick up at store option. All turned out well. OUr friends love their gifts and we love ours as well. Good price and easy to order online. If you are trying to decied whether to purchase one or not, hope this review helps you decide. Enjoy!

Purchased the Hot Dog Toaster for a friend who collects Coke items. I thought it would be unique to have on the counter but the friend used it and said it actually works great. I happened upon this item while online, and searched for availability and found it at Walmart. Great price, great item!

This little hot dog toaster is great for late dinners and quick lunch. For my family of 4 I can have dinner ready in about 10 minutes. I also like that my husband can easily use it to prepare food for the kids :) I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars for Features, because I think the hot dog holder should be wider because the hot dogs tend to expand, but at least there is a removable hot dog holder and tongs that help get the dogs out. This is a Great buy!
