How is the griddle constructed? Teflon, ceramic, or another material?
It's ceramic. I think it says you don't need to spray it, but I pull the grill off and spray with cooking spray while holding it over the sink (since my dry marinades stick). After that, I use Dawn Powerwash, and cleaning is incredibly simple! We use this so frequently!
How is it
Simply wash it while it's warm with soap and water. Avoid getting water on the heating element. However, you can clean the grill/griddle, the silver tray underneath, and the water tray with soap and water.

Cooks food fine, BUT, when the fan motor goes out (and it will fairly soon after purchasing) unless it is under warranty (one year) the manufacturer WILL NOT sell you a new fan motor nor will they tell you where you can purchase one (and they are IMPOSSIBLE to find as I have looked extensively). Just sayin, be prepared. In the Owners Manuel they tell you to remove the fan motor prior to washing the unit (and go into great detail on how to do it - VERY simple), yet when you want to replace it they tel you they do not want you working on the unit. Kinda of a double standard right. Remove it, but don't replace it??????

The Power XL Pro Indoor grill is everything it claims to be and do. We love the way it heats up; Very Fast!
It grills perfect steaks and chops. Haven't done any veggies yet.

Love this indoor grill. The summer temps here make it miserable to grill outside. I made grilled marinated chicken breasts and had no smoke in the house and the chicken tasted just a good as a gas grill. I like how the lid is removable. It's easy to clean and put back together. I definitely recommend

I like it a lot. The one thing I was looking forward to having with the grill is the griddle. Need a griddle to make pancakes and such.

This thing is great! Beats standing in the rain or cold grilling steaks or burgers. Actually so easy to use and clean up I might not ever use the propane grill again. You just have to make sure the grill is preheated (the temp setting quits flashing when ready) and you have to use the cook book to determine heat setting and approximate time then figure out what cooking time works for you. Heck, even the the steaks had grill marks. Only down side is the grill surface can only really handle two rib eye steaks... so if you are cooking 4 takes a little longer cooking two at a time but about 5 minutes a side works for me on rib eyes (at 450 degrees). The smokeless feature really works, hasn't set off the smoke alarm yet. I am happy. If you want that smoky flavor (which the propane grill doesn't give either) just add a few drops of liquid smoke just prior to cooking. Works for me.

I absolutely love this grill. The food straight up tastes like you just pulled it off the outside grill. I had the older model and used it for over a year. I just bought this one and love the upgrades with the hinged lid etc. I have my older one to a friend who loves it just as much. You can fit quite a lot on it and if you don't grease the surfaces the fan takes care of the smoke .

This is the best smokeless grill around! I've grilled everything you can think of and I've never had any smoke at all. It is large too so I can grill my entire meal at the same time. If you are looking for a smokeless Grill. The PowerXL Smokeless Grill Plus is well worth the money!!
