I love the taste of fresh Perked coffee and this pot did not disappoint. Brews 12 cups of Delicious wake up. Same coffee I have used for years but it tastes so much better in a Perk style coffee pot. Coffee is hot and stays hot . After it is done I remove the basket of grounds and it stays fresh and hot. Recommend for anyone who really enjoys coffee. You wont ever go back to drip stle pots once you try this one.

I ordered this Percolator as I recalled the better tasting coffee that I remember from my parents and my Aunt’s. So when my Mr. Coffee maker died after 28 years of great service, I ordered the Presto 12-cup percolator. It is easy to prepare it to brew coffee and the taste really is better. My complaints are insignificant, the filters are not readily available at the different grocery stores and I would like to have had the clear knob on the top of the handle.

It was exactly what we wanted. We bought another brand a couple years ago, but it didn’t keep the coffee hot, and the clear plastic percolator knob on the lid broke off. Now our coffee stays hot and we like the design of this percolator a lot better, it is not so bulky, and it’s slimmer shape fits our space better.

Overall, a great product. I wish there was an option for a base with a timer, though, if there is one, all customers should upgrade to it. Percolated coffee is much better than drip coffee makers like Mr. Coffee with very cheap glass carafes that break with a replacement cost almost equal in price to a whole new drip set up.

I've tried Keurig, mr. Coffee, French press, stove top coffee pot- all of them started out ok but Keurig was expensive, mr. Coffee was fast but the taste of the coffee was only good for a month or so. French press was good for when the power ran out but didn't keep the coffee hot enough. Stove top coffee maker took too long but made really good and hot coffee but the plastic top fell apart. A friend of mine always swore by electric perk coffee so I thought I'd give it a try. I've had it for just under month and use it every day. It brews a cup a minute of great coffee. I use distilled water bc I have hard well water and use the paper filters I had from the mr. Coffee machine. The orange light goes on once the brewing is done and the coffee stays hot until you unplug the pot. Easy to use, easy to clean, prep the night before and just plug in when I get up. Great purchase.

I love love love this percolator! Before I was using Keurig and loved it too but this percolator makes much better tasting coffee. Tip: Let it sit for a minute after the light comes on before pouring the first cup. The more it sits the stronger it'll be. I haven't ground my own coffee yet, using pre-ground Starbucks and Folgers so far.

Perked coffee from this Presto product has decidedly better flavor than drip coffee. We make 10 cups and it perks hot; and when kept plugged in, the coffee stays hot with a great flavor for the 5 hours until we finish the pot. We do use a paper filter in the basket and there are a very, very minimal if any grounds in the bottom of the pot. After we finish the coffee, we rinse the pot and make hot water in it all day....like the really hot water for making tea in our cup. The coffee/water ratio chart offered is confusing and inaccurate - if you follow those instructions the coffee would be much too strong & bitter. Over all, this Presto 12-cup peculator is a terrific buy and the price and shipping directly to home from Walmart is the best on the Internet. We've used it for 3 weeks so can't ACTUALLY EVALUATE the DURABILITY so hesitated to choose "excellent".

I will never use another coffee maker! This is SO much easier to use than I expected. It takes hardly any extra time, and is soooooooooooooooooo worth it. I will always use a percolator and will stick with this Presto as long as they make them. It looks so lovely, and reminds me of my first experience drinking coffee as a young girl in Europe. The coffee is also so hot, even after I put cream from the fridge in it. Don't hesitate to buy this Presto!!!

I came across this percolator because I wanted a more durable coffee maker that would last longer than 3 years and I thought this percolator would be a good purchase. So far, it makes a great, rich, cup of coffee. I add about a teaspoon full of ground cinnamon and clove to the coffee grounds to make the coffee that much more flavorful. What came in the box was: the filters, a Stainless-steel filter basket, the coffee pitcher, a lid, perk tube, and detachable cord. The filters that came inside the box look like square tissue paper with strategically placed holes to fit in the coffee ground basket. Regular filters can be used as well. Just add a drop of water in the middle of the regular coffee filter, poke a small hole where you added the drop of water, then fit it inside the filter basket. I hope my description was clear. Thanks for reading. :)

This Presto Perculator outperforms the current coffee makers in so many ways. I travel and its compact enough to take with you on trips for the very best tasting coffee anywhere. I use distilled water and being all SS it will not put a taste in water from plastic, copper, or aluminum like current coffee maker models. Do not have to worry about breaking the glass container. It dosen't put out as much heat and keeps the coffee hot for as long as you want. It makes the best coffee faster. No potential of a mechanical problem to clog up and make a mess to clean up. If you are considering of going to the old perculator, do not hesitate, try this and you will experience great coffee and save money on coffee costs, because it recirculates the water back through the grounds, not just one pass through the grounds. Makes great tea, put the tea bags in the basket and you have great tea.
