This is a great way to prepare popcorn because it heats the corn so evenly. Leaves very few (if any) unpopped kernels. For years, used the stovetop with a lidded pot and olive oil. Definitely prefer using this popper. It is a bit loud when running. Because it works quickly and produces consistent results, the noise isn't a bother. Comes with a measuring "spoon" for the corn, which sits atop the popper under the plastic guard. The spoon doubles as a perfect warmer for melting butter. Young children would likely enjoy watching the corn pop :-) Good price point and highly recommended.

It is just ok. My issue is in its own description is described as THE best popper on the market, no unopposed kernels etc. First 8th of kernels unpopped, device itself gets very hot to the touch externally. The only thing that sets it apart being just average is the ability to wrap the cord around the plastic hook on the back of it. The yellow was $18 for the designer red was $32 definitely not worth it.

So far so good. We received this a couple of days ago and have used it twice. It's sturdier than I expected, it certainly works well. I got one of these at least 25 years ago, believe it was also a Presto, back when they came out. It survived moves, thousands of uses, and finally cracked because of what we did to it. This promises also to be a good one. Price was good. Yellow color was cheaper and it's cute.

Good capacity. A bit slow on melting the butter. The popcorn will be finished popping before the butter is ready (just microwave it). This popper produces the highest percentage of unpopped kernals of any airpopper I have used, but that may be more the fault of the popcorn brand than the popper, I have been unable to find air popper specific popcorn locally.

Used this for the first time last night in our home theater. Put in 1/2 cup of kernels and it provided A TON of popcorn with very few kernels left. Great healthy snack. The only reason it ranked a 4 I because you have to plug it and unplug it to turn the machine on and off, there is no switch. Our sockets sparked, which made me uneasy. Other than that, it’s a great machine.

Purchased thos to replace an older air popcorn machine that lasted us about 13 years. This one lasted only 2 years. The yellow cups that hols the butter started to get a hole in it and butter would drip into the popper. It got larger and now it quits after 1’minute. Glad to throw it away now. I went to a Whirley Pop, which makes delicious popcorn.

The appearance of it is nice, pretty, etc. I have noticed this. For It is not a week old in use in my home. It pops well. The butter warmer is just that. By the time popcorn kernels have completed its popping, the butter in the warmer may not all melt. I believe if it is WATCH -- meaning the shading-- thinning the butter (to match the amount of time in which the popcorn takes to pop otherwise it is just is properly worded in user manual description a butter warmer). I didnt see at first myself investing in a can(s) of butter spritz, but for less distraction before eating my popcorn, I will do both. For I will use butter spritz, and know that if I run out of it, I will put butter in the butter warmer cup/tray on this popcorn popper. I do like there is no turn of buttons knob (not necessary). It isnt for in my opinion for over a 2 member household. If there are more than 1 person in a household who like popcorn, I would recommend a larger size popcorn popper. I do not believe that this is a popcorn popper for regular use for back- to- back popcorn making. If I had guess I would be sure to not to us it in excess or several times back- to-back. Also, another reviewer I believe wrote that the popcorn will go everywhere. I get it. I do believe the mouth and deepness of the bowl in front of the popper machine need to be wider. The bowl selected its' depth and width horizontally, and depth from the rear to front of a bowl have to be considered. I have loss some pop corn, but I know it is the width, and depth of the bowl, rear to front. For the price and cuteness it is a good investment.

Filled the cup with kernals. poured them in, set a bowl to catch the popcorn. plugged it in and watched it make popcorn. I watched it so intently I realized too late the bowl was not large enough. It was like a comedy with popcorn going all over the place while I went to get another bowl. It is well worth $19.95. If not, I would tell ya. By the way, 2nd time I used a much larger bowl. You live and learn. As others have said, a switch might be nice but maybe the heat would destroy the switch over time. Just plugging it in is no big deal as it is not something you leave on the counter. It is quite simple to operate. There is no timer, no settings...little to go wrong. You plug it in and it runs. You unpug it and it stops.

I couldn't rate the durability because we've had it less than a week. I will say it looks to be as sturdy as the last one we had, which lasted 27 years… We read reviews from both the top and bottom of the rating spectrum. All I can say is those people who complained were obviously not paying any attention to the instructions. You use the little butter melting cup to measure the popcorn, you don't have to look inside the popper to do so. All you have to do is look at the picture on the box to figure out how to put it together, that is unless you can't figure it out just by looking at the pieces. There are only three after all. All you complaining about no on/off switch. This is not an appliance that is meant to constantly sit on your counter. Put it away to keep it from getting dusty when not using it. We have popcorn every Friday night, and it's not that hard to put it away each week. For the person who said the popped corn tasted like styrofoam. Good grief, why were you eating styrofoam??? Put some butter or olive oil on it, and voila, tasty popcorn. Use a large bowl to catch the popped corn. You might consider putting the bowl on something so it is raised up a bit, but our counter is offset about an inch so we put the popper on the bottom, and the bowl on the upper counter. Someone complained about the popcorn landing on the floor. That is not the fault of the popper, but the fault of using too small a bowl, or just the nature of popcorn. It's going to pop! If the hot kernel has landed in the bowl before popping, it might end up on the floor, maybe once or twice. Here's a solution, push the set up toward the back of your counter toward the backsplash.

I LOVE this air popper! I was spending at least $6.00-$8.00 a week buying organic popcorn from our local grocer and there were always a ton of unpopped kernels on the bottom of the bag. This air popper pops 98% of the kernels and does a great job! The kids love watching it pop and it takes only 3 minutes. Just don't use a shallow bowl when popping, as those last kernels can really fly out of there easily.
