i use it to make corn bread and it only takes about 3 1/2 minutes for four patties i also use it for salmon patties about 4 minutes and with no oil just wipe clean

I have used this item a couple of times in the last few days and I must say that it does its job. This is an affordable sandwich maker that toasts the bread just right to how I like it, and very easy to clean. I'll keep using it as much as I can to have my breakfast or little breaks at work and being able to eat warm and toasty.

I have had a very similar product for years, but it quit working. I have used it for many things, from scrambled eggs, muffins, cornbread (can even put pieces of hot dogs in it so it is similar to corn dogs), pancake batter with pieces of link sausage in it, cake batter, brownies... well you get the idea. The only problem I had was when I opened the box, I discovered it contained a waffle maker instead of the sandwich maker! I took it back to the store and was able to exchange it.

For the price I paid I was expecting it to be a carton box with heater but it is amazing! Food doesn't stick, heats up very fast, light weight, easy to use. Everything I wanted. Best $10 I ever spent.

With just a few ingredients and minutes...combined with imagination, this machine can make everything from a warm toasty "hot pocket"style sandwich for lunch, which you can follow with dessert pockets filed with anything from apple pie filing to peanut buyer and jelly... I have even sprinkled colored sugars on the buttered side of the bread and filed each with a wide variety of goodies to create tasty treats for the little ones...we have also made pizza pockets, ham and cheese, and hot tuna melts.. What can I say...your options are only limited by your tastes and imaginations...and the kids love to help...trust me... It is a solid investment...

I bought this sandwich maker on a whim, over a year ago, and have NOT regretted buying it once. It is absolutely awesome. The grilled cheese sandwiches on it that night were the crunchiest and easiest to make ever. Then I got to thinking, I bet there are a bunch of recipes out there online. And there most certainly was an abundant amount of ideas. I use my sandwich maker at least three times a week. Breakfast is so easy, pancakes with sausages, burritos with leftover veggies, "eggie" dippers...all very simple and much tastier than cold cereal. Never have a cold sandwich at lunch again. Anything that you put on two slices of bread, can be slid right into the sandwich maker and is toasty hot in just a few seconds. Dinner can be down right fun. Chicken quesadillas are a fast, yet good for you dinner. Pizza bites with a can of biscuits, pepperoni, and string cheese cut into one inch sections rolled together are simple. Kids love the finger food!! Adults love the simple cooking and ease of clean up. (Just a simple wipe off.) I love mine!

I bought this at Walmart for $20 and didn't expect any more than what it is. My only complaint is that it doesn't really cut the sandwiches down the middle but hey, cutting them with a knife isn't horrible. They have the lines carved into the sandwiches. I've made grilled cheeses, ham and cheese sandwiches, etc in this little 'maker'. Love it! Definitely good for college students or just for people who love sandwiches! Sure as heck beats a soggy microwaved sandwich or having to wash a skillet. Doesn't stick either! :)

If you've already owned an expensive sandwich maker, you won't like this one. However, if you're looking for a simple no-frills sandwich maker, this is perfect for you. It turns on and off by plugging and unplugging it. The non-stick surface is truly non-stick...as long as you let it preheat first. The biggest thing is to make sure you don't overfill it. I added too much pancake batter once and although it was easy to clean off the front and sides, it took forever to clean the wire coil in the back. I've made fruit filled pancakes, cornbread cakes, chocolate cakes, tortilla pizza, omelets, and many kinds of sandwiches. Just use your imagination because the sky is the limit.
