Just what I needed, Thank you

I bought my first Sharp Carousel in 1998 and it 'died' just a week ago. This new model has nearly the same features as my old one; same power, door latches, cavity size and controls. The door operation is smooth

I like my new microwave, find it easy to use and has a nice clean look. A friend bought the same model and is pleased with her purchase

Great microwave! Had it over 10 months now. Use it couple times each meal. Cook everything but sunny side soft eggs and cookies and pies. Brownies and cake are easy to make in Corning-ware dish for 3-4 min to bake.. However, It takes too much time to cool down for me to enjoy it!

The original one I bought in July died in two months but when I contacted Sharp they had me fax the strip from the back and within a week they sent me a replacement which has worked beautifully. I had one of the old big, big Sharps for years (many years) and it was a wonder but this model has more options for cooking. Plus I really like the white matching my appliances.

The microwave itself would've received 5 stars but the light inside doesn't stay on once the door is opened and shipping was way slower than it should have been.

Size and wattage level are great! Nice selection of options on pad panel... Easy clean too...good value The only downfall is the lack of interior light when door is opened-but I can live with that...

I had an 1100 watt Sharp Carousel for over 16 years and it was wonderful. It finally went poof, so I had to seek out another one. I wanted another 1100 watt, but the footprint of the newer Sharp Carousels (1100 watt) were so much bigger and wouldn't fit on the counter where it needed to go, so in order to stay with the Sharp brand, I had to get a 1000 watt. So far so good as far as what I've cooked in it. There "is" a difference in just 100 watts less, but I can live with it. I am very disappointed that there is no light when the door is open. The light only comes on while cooking. I loved to use the light whenever I needed to stir the food during cooking or to clean the inside, and I don't have that anymore. And this one beeps 3 times, pretty loud when cooking is complete. My other one only beeped once, and a lower, softer beep which I liked. I live in an apartment and neighbors hear every little thing. I suppose I'll adjust to it, but I guess I just don't like change and I sure miss my old Sharp Carousel.

I haven't had it but a month or so, but so far it's been a real good microwave oven. I like all the features on it and one thing really stands out for me is, the owners manual is very informative about the cooking times of different types of meats, potatoes, etc. Explains it better than most manuals. I recommend buying this model microwave oven. I really like it.

I am one of the many who had that famous Sharp Carousel of 30 years ago that lasted about 30 years. I've heard that they don't make them that good anymore, but so far this new one is doing very nicely. I really like that the "+30 sec" works in several modes, unlike the Magic Chef one I got to replace the old classic (lasted 7 months but got a full refund). Also enjoy the 1 to 6 minutes of instant start. Only con is that the light is off except while it's cooking. Open the door and it's dark again. But it sure beats having no microwave at all.
