It's heavy and requires two hands to unlock and blend

If you Have arthritis in your hands, and don't have strength in your fingers, don't buy it, you really have to push hard on the low button for it the power to go on, and hold it there or it doesn't work. i might be returning it for that reason.

Works well, but as other reviewers have stated, having to press the unlock button at the top before each use is a bit awkward and the whole thing requires 2 hands to use initially. I liked the versatility of using it for purposes other than blending. Also like the metal finish. There are more than 1 model of hand blenders made by cuisinart so compare prices accordingly

My first Smart Stick died after only a few uses but Cuisinart was quick to get me a replacement. It worked well but to operate the Smart Stick you have to push down two buttons at the same time. They're kind of hard to push and I have a difficult time doing it. Wish it had an easier method of use.

That you have to use both hands to use this blender. It is not a one hand immersion blender.

THis is one of the most useful tools I have. It will make a smoothie, disolve powder into a liquid such as pudding and Jell-O. I use it when I make home made mayonnaise to incorporate the eggs sugar and vinegar. I use it when making gravy to get all the lumps out. And I use it making batter like pancake batter or fry batter. IT is a wonderful and handy tool.

Does great job. Don't like the safety button on top. Takes two hands to get started. Have to turn loose of container with left hand to top button.

We bought this new model to replCe our older one as the stock blDe began to malfunction— it was with us a long tim-/ so that is the reason it was so easy to select the same trusted brand. Our surprise and complaintis a “new” design feature of two speeds and a pesky third button on top you must hind down for the blade to run. You can let go once the blade is spinning, but it is very uncomfortable— definitely a two handed job. Also— the second speed appears useless for us s the normal one speed was great for all our uses. They messed with a good thing. We are wishing for our old one speed and NO rip button to hold down.
