The plastic piece on the lid melted the first time we used this. There was excess pressure that was released near the knob that is to be used once the cooking is finished. Looks like a poorly designed system. We promptly returned this item for a full refund.

I ordered this cooker for a gift. My friend used it last weekend and reports she was pleased with this product. She loved cooking a healthy meal quickly. It took her 3 tries to make macaroni and cheese--the 1st and 2nd attempts did not cook right. There seems to be a learning curve for this cooking. he meat turned out excellent. The clean up she reports was easy.

I've only used my new SPT 6.5 pressure cooker twice so far but it works fine and it's easy to use. Came with a booklet with easy instructions. I think some of the suggested timing can be off due to the quantity of food you use. My beef roast was a little too soft and some of the veggies (onions) were overcooked... but next time I'll adjust the cooking time. (I erred on the side of too much time, then to undercook and it was my fault) I also made a Cheesecake which was very creamy and didn't heat up the kitchen like the oven would. Next, I want to try a Chocolate cake. the booklet does not recommend Pasta but I was told by a chef that if you add some oil to Pasta it won't foam up . I will probably try a Pasta dish at some point. Compared to the old fashioned cooker it takes a little more time to come to pressure but still a great buy.

I'm a long time pressure cooker user (over 30 years), and this is a 21st century upgrade well worth the wait. Not having to monitor cooking and make frequent adjustments is worth the price bt itself. Removable cooking liner makes clean-up a breeze.

This pressure cooker is excellent! You can adjust the time for whatever you are cooking, or use the pre-sets for certain given items you're cooking. Easy to clean, easy to cool down and maintain.......everything about it is designed with the cook in mind. I've cooked beef stew, Lamb, Kale, green beans and roast Beef with no problems. It truly is a really good Pressure Cooker! Thank You!

Cooker works fine, if a novice to pressure cooking your on your own. No menus, no introduction to pressure cooking, just how to turn it on. Thanks to YouTube & the Internet I got things cooked.

Hi! Well honestly I was disappointed with the power pressure cooker for a couple of reasons. My biggest issue was that there were no recipes included with the PPPC. I was looking forward to some of examples of what I could make and there was nothing. Also I then came up with a few things I could make in a regular pressure and honestly the old kind of Pressure cooker worked faster and had better results. About the only thing that I really liked was the fact that is was that it could hold a large capacity.
