I bought this insead of another well known brand available that heats water extremely fast. I didn't like the idea that the other brand was made of plastic as it eventually stained on use with the prior ones so I thought having a steel version would be better cleaned and stain less. The item does hold one quart, cleans well and is generally a good pot for making, for instance, ramen noodles. However the inside of the bottom of the pot shows some corrosive spots that are not removable even when I tried to use an oxalic cleaner. The pot does NOT heat water quickly. It looks like the circular burner on the bottom only heats up for half of the concentric area so literally half the burner is active to heat the load of water. This is not efficient. Liquid pours well from it and I often make tea water in it and then pour it into the tea steeping pot and this does act efficiently in this manner. I have used this more than two years only because I can no longer return this defectively designed item. Thank you.
