I replaced an old over the range microwave that was way to big (low), with this model and what a difference!! Should have changed it out years ago. The inside is a little lower but for anything I microwave it's plenty of space. And the front look is so clean. The numbers are actually behind the door. So it looks very neat and is easy to wipe clean. Even the timer ding sounds so nice. Very happy with my purchase!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I love this microwave. The buttons that are hidden by the door is my favorite feature. You don't see all the fingerprints on the outer door! Everybody notices it and mentions how wonderful it looks. We reviewed a display of this microwave before we purchased it. We wanted and OTR microwave due to the minimal counter top space in our home but we didn't like the depth of the OTR's. This one, however, provides the best of both worlds. Thus far, the size has been adequate for anything we have needed to put in it. If you really think about it there is a lot of wasted space in a typical counter top microwave. This also provided the free space above the stove top that we were used to with the vent hood. It allows for better viewing and working space as well as the capability for larger pots. The depth of a normal OTR would fall well below the existing cabinetry. It does have the re-circulation feature, which we needed. The fan is strong! The filters work very well. We were finally able to cook bacon without completely smoking up the house. The light is a little dim when other lights are on but adequate. That would be my only drawback. I would definitely recommend it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this during the covet 19 stay at home order to replace an aging Frigidaire model that required percussive maintenance due to excessive vibrations each time it was used. this low profile model was very welcome to our small kitchen. The loss of height in the microwave cooking area does not seem to have had any impact whatsoever on our uses. The mounting system was very straightforward to install after watching a few YouTube videos. The instruction sheet that was included, though, was not very intuitive to read. The venting options make this somewhat complicated if you don't have an existing venting set up. our original microwave was set to recirculate, so that is what I did for this one too. that is also the default configuration, out of the box. the extra space that was made available over the stove top exposed parts of the backsplash that had previously not been updated. please keep this in mind if this is a replacement for a larger unit. Bought this microwave when i updated my kitchen. Previously, I always had my microwave on my countertop. This microwave functons as a vent hood and microwave. Its size and functons are fantastic. I just happened to spot this unit at the store and ordered it immediately. In my kitchen, the cabinet over the range is 24" high. Ideally it should have been 18" high to allow adequate room for an over the range microwave and fan unit. Since I cannot find a smaller cabinet that matches the existing cabinets, I was going to just install a range hood fan. This "Low Profile" combination unit fits in under the cabinet and still allows 20" clear space between the range and the microwave. A "perfect Solution." We purchased a new home expecting to put a new microwave over the oven like we had before until we noticed how big the top cabinets were. We searched online and then found this PERFECT option for us! We had never seen this kind of microwave before and were very skeptical about purchasing something over budget not knowing if it would work in that area. We decided to purchase and it ended up being perfect! The microwave is so modern and sleek, buttons are very easy to press. A cool feature is that the noises aren't the normal BEEP, its a cute little chime instead. When we first saw this we were scared about losing "space" but you can fit just about anything in this. I've been so bummed out because I couldn't have a built-in microwave. The space above my range was to low for a traditional one, so I had to put one on the counter top. Well, that took up half my counter and I don't have much counter space to begin with. Then, this Low Profile Microwave from Whirlpool caught my eye when I was at the home improvement store one day, I HAD TO HAVE IT. I don't know how long it's been out, but I don't care, I bought it and had it installed and it's perfect. It "Nukes" great and the sounds and alerts are pleasant to hear as opposed to the annoying beeping sound they used to make. It looks bright and sleek, I highly recommend this microwave, I do wish it was priced a little more reasonable, but on the other hand it's worth it. Glad I found this model. We were in need of a new above the stove micro and did not have the height room for any of the newer models. We happened upon this one since we were looking for a Whirlpool to match the fridge we just purchased. It's sleek, not a high, only sticks out a little and works great. A little hard to get used to the setting being inside, but well worth the extra money. We installed it ourselves, bracket is the instructions, and the micro was a bit heavy, but we got it! This microwave is absolutely perfect about 4” taller than a range hood, the microwave works perfectly giving us both the convenience of a microwave in the space of a rangehood! inside capacity is just fine we are able to put every dish we own in it without an issue.
