Guide to clean Turbo Convection Toaster Oven

The same technique you would use to clean your primary kitchen oven may be used to remove baked-on grease from a toaster oven. Make a paste out of baking soda and water, apply it to the trouble spot, and let sit for the night. Clean up with a rag, and if there are any lingering issues, mist them with a vinegar-and-water solution. Use just gentle, soapy water, and be careful. The coating on this item will be harmed by abrasive cleansers, scrubbing brushes, and chemical cleaners. I'd start with the warm, soapy water. I would try the baking soda procedure if it wasn't cleaning up by then.

is Best Choice Products Turbo Convection Toaster Oven worth buying?

Toaster ovens with convection cook food more quickly than conventional ovens, which saves money and energy.Additionally, the convection toaster oven's airflow ensures that your food is cooked through evenly, with no cold or burned places. This countertop oven costs a lot of money, but it is totally worth it. In comparison to conventional countertop ovens, the 1,800 watts of power and (optional) convection heating make it possible to roast meat, toast bread, and bake more quickly. Additionally, the "Element IQ" smart heating system offers more consistent power so that your food cooks perfectly every time. This model has nine preset cooking options in total, including a "slow cook" capability that can simmer meals for up to 10 hours.

    - [x] There is so much wrong with this oven. The deafening sounds of the incessant beeping are enough for me to delay the cooking until I can half way tolerate the noise. There are three dials: one for function, one for timing and one for temperature. Each time you turn any of the dials you get a loud beep. So to set the “function”there are 15 choices so you get anywhere from 1 to 15 beeps. For timing there is one beep for each minute, so if you set it for an hour there are 60 beeps.  I’ve tried setting it as quickly as I can so the beeps all run in together but it’s sooooo loud it literally hurts my ears.  Same way with the temperature beeping at 5 degree intervals. I have no idea why the designers of this oven thought this was necessary.  I just started using the oven this week even though I bought it in July for October when I would be moving into my house.  The instruction manual is totally inadequate when it comes to explaining how to use this toaster oven. The french doors spring back at you and the oven racks slip down and forward making it easy to lose the contents all over you or the floor. Very unstable and dangerous for burning yourself. - [ ] The oven temperature is so far off that nothing I bake ever comes out right with maybe the exception of pizza. The company will not refund me now because they say it’s too late.  They want to offer me a 15 percent discount on future purchases, as if I would ever buy anything from them again. ” - [ ] (This review was written a year ago on their website and was instantly deleted, so a year later I’m entering it here. I had my son-in-law remove the ringer gadget but it’s still a dangerous and useless oven. I’m buying myself a new toaster oven soon and scrapping this one. )

The last two similar ovens I chewed through didn't get to 450°F. This does, according to two thermometers. The top on the outside (at that inside temperature) topped out my 300°F food thermometer, past zero, past about 10° worth of gap, and up to about 15°F. So, if you played it right, it could double as a range top. I don't think it's insulated, like, at all. This is a bit scary. Do be careful, and for X's sake, don't put anything on top of it, or even within an inch or so. All the functions, including rotisserie and fan, work fine. Not stellar, but they work. The only sliver-toned metal on it that isn't ferromagnetic is the handles. I'm not sure what kind of "stainless" that outer foil.... er, sheet is supposed to be. The knobs buttons, and display are hard plastic. I put tinted car-window film on the display; it's nasty bright. I expect a visible scratch to make it magically through the film; it feels very soft & thin. The feet are a soft plastic; I'm half expecting them to melt. They haven't yet, though. The label says it's rated for 1550W, but it gets to 450° on 120v in about 12 minutes, so I'm not sure why the actual wattage would matter. Lower in these cases should be cheaper to run all results equal. +1 on the wimpy racks. There's room in the slots to double up if you are heating up a 3 kilo block of tungsten and it needs to be centered. With the weight distributed toward the edges, they're fine. Use a cookie sheet or something that throws the weight closer to the sides of the oven. I'm actually a bit impressed with its engineering around price, and recyclability. With the exception of shipping mishaps, this is a feat of precision. All in all, I'm happy with it, and the $200 I saved over my second choice.

This is a huge countertop convection oven that does everything a traditional oven can do. It does have a few caveats though. First off, it takes 15 minutes to reach 350 F and about another 5 minutes (plus/minus another minute or two even) to reach it's top temperature of 450 F. That's only marginally better than most new or new-ish traditional ovens. Second, the item title states it's a 1800 Watt oven. It is not. It is a 1550 Watt oven and states so on BCP's website's specification for this oven as well as on the compliance labeling underneath the power cord on the oven itself. The fact that it is 1550 Watts is a good thing for those on a 120 volt 20 Amp (A 120 volt 20 Amp circuit is more than enough to handle 1550 Watts. I'm just erring on the side of caution and taking into consideration other loads running off the same circuit at the same time.) or less circuit. A lot of older homes have 120 volt 15 Amp circuit in their kitchens that their regular electric outlets run of off. Typically you only want to use 80% of a circuits capacity, especially under constant long term load. Third, the stated length is the actual width and vice versa in the item description. The external measurements are actual L/W/H 16"x22"x14". The internal USABLE dimensions L(depth)/W/H(from top heating element to bottom heating element) are 15"x 16.25"x10". The difference in stated measurement and actual measurement can be a real problem if one is concerned with space constraints and bakeware size when trying to making a informed and accurate decision on whether to purchase this oven or not. Fourth, like almost all of these types of countertop convection ovens, barring one or two, there is no insulation to speak of and the stamped steel and/or aluminum construction is rather inadequate. This makes the outside of the oven extremely hot when in operation so taking adequate precautions should be paramount. This also makes the control buttons hot to the touch as well after extended operation. This is a major engineering mistake for this oven. Fifth, the doors on this oven get extremely hot as well but the handles seem to remain cool to the touch though. The doors also don't always stay open. There is no mechanism to keep them open so they can shut on you when your pulling out items from the oven. Very dangerous and another engineering shortfall. Sixth, The wire racks are pretty thin for an oven this size. Anything with any substantive weight such as a 9"x13" thick Pyrex dish full of chicken and rice makes the racks buckle and has the potential of causing a real messy and dangerous fire hazard. The wire racks also can tilt down when you pull them out ever so slightly. This can cause a very painful and messy accident even if one is aware of the issue. The included huge baking pan is seemingly very sturdy though. Seventh, there are no rack position recommendations anywhere on the oven itself or the lackluster user's manual. The presets are fine and all but if someone is new to oven cooking in general and doesn't know the proper rack positions then the presets are utterly pointless. General rule of thumb for oven rack positioning is top rack for broiling/browning, middle racks for baking/general cooking and bottom rack for foods like pizza that call for high heat and fast bottom cooking. I personally use the top middle rack for most meats and casserole dishes and the bottom middle rack for baking. Last, this oven only has a 60 day return "warranty". That's unconscionable for a $150 plus investment. I would suggest one purchases an additional insurance "extended warranty" from a third party reputable warranty vendor. It adds to the total price but it's better safe than to be sorry in this case. All in all though this is a good oven, warts and all, in comparison to others in it price range, capacity and function, albeit a little on the pricey side though. I would hesitantly recommend this oven to those looking for an adequately functioning, high capacity countertop convection oven.

Does not tell you internal temperature or tell you when it’s warmed up. I put a Rubbermaid oven Thermometer on top rack to see what my oven temperature was and set oven to 450, empty oven after 45 minutes only reached 395. I then put a 16 inch pizza in oven on aluminum pizza pan and couldn’t get the oven to go over 315 deg. This oven is useless for any serious cooking or baking its nothing more then an over sized toaster. I would not recommend if you are buying this as a oven replacement.

This does not have a preheat so you are putting the food in a cold oven, which causes the food to cook very unevenly with the convection fan, it burns the food in the back of the oven but the front is not cooked enough. I've done frozen pizzas, corn muffins, bacon, ham, brownies, casseroles and toast and they are all this way. It takes forever to heat up to do multiple pieces of toast. The knobs you use to set the setting are very LOUD and even after the oven stops cooking on the timers, you have to remember to push the off button or it keeps dinging loudly. It is not a safety feature because the oven stopped with the timer. It doesn't get too hot by the cabinets or counter top. It looks nice on the counter. The edges are very sharp on the bottom so when i pulled it out of the box it cut my hand.

Did not use the product. I took it out of the box it came in and saw that the two doors don't meet all the way in the middle. This means hot air will escape where the doors are suppose to meet at the front of the product. Thought it was unsafe for me to use and returned it. It is such a shame because this is one of the biggest toaster ovens I could find with french doors, which is exactly what I wanted. Not to mention it is absolutely beautiful. After noticing the space between the doors I didn't check anything else. I pack it up and shipped it back.

Electronics are junk. To change temp, timer, function, or anything, you need to stop and restart and reset EVERYTHING!!! When you have a timer set and you want to change temp, this is a huge pain in the butt. There is a loud and obnoxious beep with every touch and click of the knob, convection fan doesn't blow any air and barely spins.

This is a cool little oven. We use it for everything . However, Be Extremely Careful when opening the Doors they will burn you. The racks will slid out way to fast and tilt spilling your Food...Exercise Great Caution... Packaging Must improve, mine came with a damage knob but not enough to send it back for a hassle.. Be sure to purchase a Warranty...

The controls are a bit hard to follow. The interface is kind of difficult to work with and you are left with going with the "pre-sets" or under/over-cook your foods.

This oven is large, easy to use, nice looking, works great and the only complaint we have is the 2 oven racks are very weak and low quality! The racks will bend and fall if a heavy cast-iron skillet is placed on them which is a safety issue(could cause spills and burns) and a QUALITY issue. The manufacturer needs to correct this major problem on this otherwise very good countertop oven.

Looks and works beautifully. I had to try out my new toy so I threw in various things. Toasted perfectly on regular bread as well as scones. I tossed in a pizza and used the pizza preset. It cooked faster on one end and I realized that it's because that's where the fan is. I flipped it and added 5 more minutes. Pizza ended up crispy and hot with a much better flavor than conventional oven where it seems to over cook in order to get a crispy crust. So far, I'm very happy and I love that it came with the rotisserie and pan grabber. The outside of the oven does get very hot, also the doors. I pulled it away from the wall as a precaution. The oven is pretty light weight but doesn't look cheaply made. This was definitely a great addition to my kitchen.

Love this product! Super simple to use and pretty great size. Been using it for a few months now and never had an issue. Its very sturdy and come with many great features. Only thing I would change is that you can't change the temp or timer in the middle of baking which can be a bummer but nothing major.

I liked the size but the doors are terrible. The doors leak heat and i got burned every time i used the oven. Having double doors made it very to use. I could not open the doors with one hand and load with the other. Also when the oven is started I could not adjust the time or temp unless I turn it off then on again.

We have 6 kids...and our oven broke down and our landlord hasn't sent anyone to fix it after months of requests. I spent several weeks researching ovens, Really had a hard time deciding because I really wanted an air fryer, but also don't have a lot of space, and my hubby wanted us to be able to get the big pizza's again. All the others on the market could go up to 14 inches or less. So...Big won out over space-saving. The fact that it's a convection oven...sort of brings in the possibility of an air fryer, so now I'm trying to find a ventilated grill basket that makes it work as an air fryer. There are a few on Amazon that look like they will fit. I wish it came with a basket like that. I'm happy that this fits my pyrex 9X13 glass dishes for casseroles with the handles. It does NOT fit a full-sized sheet pan, so I am also looking at cookie sheets with smaller dimensions but not too small. I wish they offered a line of cooking sheets to fit it's unique inner dimensions. Seriously, I wish it was a half an inch to an inch wider and it could hold the sheet pans...and then put the controls on top like some I've seen. True, it would make it even taller and possibly not fit under people's counters, but It comes so close to being near full-sized even though it's smaller. I like the french door opening. the controls are a bit... annoying. You can't just set a temp and let it stay on. You can set the temp, and the functions you have to rotate through these really loud bell like "bing's" to get to the right setting, and you can adjust it from there, but If you want to roast something and you want to leave it in because it didn't finish you have to start it all over rather than just let it cook and check on it. It turns off when the timer is done, and it seems to take longer than I liked to cook my roast. I will learn how to understand it's settings. Maybe I can pressure cook and then crisp with it. All in all, I'm glad that this thing exists. I can bake and roast again. It's not perfect, but it fit a lot of my needs.

Had this for about three weeks now and I've baked four different breads, baked cookies, used the convection mode to cook meat and bacon and used as a toaster oven and I am very pleased with it. The description states 16" pizzas can be cooked in it (which I haven't tried yet) but I'm not sure it would fit. The width is fine but the depth measures short. It's 16" touching back wall to touching the doors. Other than that I think it's great and would highly recommend. This is our only oven right now and when we get a full size range I will use this still.

There are a couple of things I would like changed , it has a light that remains on while the oven is baking I would prefer having the option to turn it on/off cause once the oven stops cooking you cant see very well inside , I would also like it better if it had preheat before the clock countdown . It looks nice and works well and it is big ,I wanted an oven like this when I moved in to this house cause I dont have a regular stove oven but this didnt exist 18 years ago so Ive had those small toaster ovens an oster large not the xl and a cuisinart those were the biggest before this one came along , this is not a regular toaster oven its a countertop oven much bigger .

Beautiful oven. The stainless steel and French doors and the size are great. I returned this stove for one reason. It has absolutely had no insulation what so ever. I didn't even cook anything in this oven I only turned it on for six minutes on the toast setting and it raised the temperature in my kitchen rapidly. Not to mention the external temperature of the oven was extreme in a very short period of time ⌚. It was untouchable in minutes. I could see inside the side wall of the oven though a vent underneath the control panel due to the oven light showing through it in the front of the oven. There was absolutely no insulation visible in the wall at all. All I could see was the rotisserie motor. I am also concerned with any oven that has a burner element at the top and no way to clean above the burner if splattering occurs between the burner and the ceiling of the oven. It would make cleaning difficult. I would also suggest adding a clock in case customers want to do delay cooking. This does not have a time clock. I knew it was not suggested this model had an airfry mode but, it would be nice if they added it. Convection cooking and air frying are basically the same thing. I also would prefer quartz burners and a nonstick interior. Too bad this oven didn't have these features because it is a great size and looks like a professional oven in appearance. Unfortunately it was lacking in quality materials and features.

The instructions were vague. Number 2 it took almost 1 hour and a half to cook a 1/4 pound Hamburger!. Going to return it tomorrow to get an airfryer. Wouldn't recommend it to anybody

My family uses the toaster oven daily to make toast and pizza. The oven is really bigger than expected. It needs a lot of counter space or should be built in. It doesn’t heat as quickly as I would like but it does toast evenly brown. It looks great as well.

I have gone through 3 extra large Oster toaster oven's this toaster beats them all The evenest of cooking the cooking temperatures , the preset temperatures unbelievable for the price very good quality . So far I have cooked a 16 inch homemade pizza ,12 pound ham homemade meatloaf baked potatoes at least 3 pounds of bacon per week and use daily for heating or reheating leftovers and clean up is so easy I just wish I had bought this one before all those Oster toaster oven's what a waste of money I would definitely definitely recommend this to anybody Who cooks a lot with her oven

This convection oven is something I didn't know I needed in my life until I got it. The fact that it can cook 3 pizzas at a time is amazing when we entertain as much as we do! And on top of that being able to have another oven has been so great! Our kitchen is small and we didn't have the option for double ovens so this is the perfect solution!

I love the sizes, this oven no need to preheated. I use it to replace my broken range oven. Big enough to bake large cake.
