BLACK+DECKER (SC1007D) 7-Quart Dial-Control Slow Cooker Reviews

I already have one 7 quart slow cooker but I have found you can never have to many, especially when you are always doing family dinners or some sort of celebration. My other cooker is digital, it was something the husband bought and it is a pretty nice cooker. The Black and Decker did just as good as my more expensive cooker and actually looks nicer in my opinion. The inside pottery is thick and sturdy and was easy to clean afterwards. The lid looks like it has 2 handles, one on the outside and one small one on the inside, which is odd but I thought maybe a safety thing?!? There are 3 settings and I have used all three. Heat starts up gradually and remains at decent temps on all settings for obviously slow to quick cooking. Handles are sturdy with no movement, bottom has rubber feet for no slipping/counter scratches. Outer shell is easy to clean and has a trendy white/grey design that could compliment any decor. As I said it is easy to clean but it can not be fully submerged in water or you'll damage the wiring and heating element. There is a safety/user friendly manual that also has some recipes for you to try. Item comes well boxed and easy to open. It is large and sometimes I have a hard time finding room for it on the shelf. We own several slow cookers, and we use them almost daily, but we often need to serve foods at family and church dinners, so we're really happy with this extra big slow cooker. I love the beautiful design on it, which I think would look great in almost any kitchen, whether decorated in lighter or darker colors. The neutral gray color of the actual crock pot blends perfectly with the outside case. The geometric pattern on the outside is really upscale, elegant, and pleasant to look at. It does take up a pretty large area of my counter top, but I just put it away when I'm not using it, so that's not an issue. And the simple controls are really easy for me to use, too, without any confusion at all. I have messed up meals in the past by not getting digital timer right on one of my crock pots, but generally I find that I just want it to stay on until we're ready to eat, and this works perfectly. Plus, because it is so large, we can make anything we like for our growing extended family -- including large roasts with vegetables, two whole chickens (love making these in a slow cooker!), several pounds of "baked" potatoes, or even breakfast casseroles.

This is the first Slow cooker I have ever used. I never knew how tender your meat can get. I made a port roast for my family and they loved it. The meat was so tender and everything else was cooked to perfection. I am not that great at cooking, but this made a difference to me. I also want to say that the pot inside the cooker is a heavy ceramic with a handle on each side, to carry to the table. It keeps the food warm even when it's not on the warm setting. It is easy to clean, but you could also buy those bag inserts for a easier clean. The cover is see trough with thick class. I like my Black and Decker slow cooker a lot ,and do recommend it . This Black & Decker 7 quart slow cooker is massive! I was shocked to see the amount of food this appliance will hold. It is large enough to make huge quantities of food for a big family. In addition to “off,” there are low, high, and warm settings. Right out of the box, I noticed the stability and security of the cool touch handles. There was no “give” in their attachment, as I have felt before in other new slow cookers. Also, the handles are much larger than usual, which really makes me feel like I can move the full appliance without fear of the handles breaking off. Every part of this cooker seems top quality, from the tempered glass lid to the cookware pot, to the cooking base and control knob. This is a well-made item. I am the queen of the slow cooker! I have always used them a lot in the past and still do, even though my children are grown and out of the house. Especially for working parents and those living on a smaller food budget, you just can't beat a slow cooker for preparing wonderful, economical meals for the family. Slow cookers helped me raise my three children, over the course of 20 years, as a single, working mom. I can't praise them enough. The quality of this particular cooker is unsurpassed!

This black and decker 7quart slow cooker with 3 heat settings is very nice! I got to get this and try for free from Walmart Spark Review and I recommend it to everyone who likes to cook meals and do other chores while their meal is cooking. When it says slow cooking, it means slow cooking. We got this in and used it on the same day. I recommend if you use this crock pot to put your meals in first thing in the morning to cook. My husband made a homemade pot roast and it took all day and most of the evening to cook. We still loved it because he could put everything in the crock pot to cook and walk away while its cooking! This is a big crock pot and I love the design that's on it. It did get hot so be careful when using this around small children. I don't remember a crock pot ever getting that hot but I guess it does. That would be the only flaw I would have about it! Other than that this is a great product and would make a nice Christmas gift, wedding gift or even a welcome to your new home gift!
