We LOVE this hand mixer. We have not owned it long, but we have already used it several times, mainly to make cookies. We will definitely be trying out the other blades. We used the Helix blades, but this also comes with bread dough hooks and a whisk. The mixer is a nice size and reasonably light weight. Love the different choices of mixer blades. This mixer has 5 speeds all of which have a power boost. Starts smoothly to prevent splatters. I also really like that this mixer comes with a cover for storage that snaps on over the mixer and holds all the blades. The blades are all dishwasher safe. I love the retro design and compactness of this little mixer. I made the mistake of not reading the manual prior to using the product and made a mess in my kitchen. I used this to make a cheesecake, using the helix beaters. Big mistake. I should have used the dough hooks as described in the manual, for thicker batters. With the helix beaters, the cream cheese kept "climbing" up the beater and causing a huge mess! *see photo* Once I finally got the batter to a softer, more liquid form, the beaters worked perfectly. They would be great for pancake batter or standard cake batter. Next time I make cheesecake, or any cream cheese dessert, I will be sure to start with the dough hooks as suggested so I don't have this problem again. As for the speeds, they progress adequately and are appropriate for each speed level (i.e. 1 is very low, etc) Some mixers I have used have a much higher speed for level 1, which is not conducive to keeping some mixers in the bowl. I also love how it comes with an easy to remove/detach compartment for storing the beaters. Everything is so neat and compact, and it saves space. This hand mixer is pretty cool. I wasn't even sad to toss my old one. I like that it comes with different attachments. There are the regular beater attachments. There are dough attachments which are going to come in handy and a little whisk attachment. It is so easy to use and works great. The best part for me is it has like a little storage attachment. You can put on the beaters in and then set the mixer on top and it hooks on. It even fits perfectly like that in my cupboard. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This was my first time using a hand mixer. I was a little nervous, at first, but that quickly went away. The instructions made every step very clear. It even told you what attachment to use for which task you were doing. That made using the mixer very easy. I made cupcakes and homemade buttercream icing and they turned out absolutely perfect. Putting the attachments in the slots was very easy. I also love that the eject button is so easy to use and the attachments pop right out. This mixer has a lot of power. I absolutely love this hand mixer! My old hand mixer is a Hamilton Beach hand mixer. The beaters that came with the Hamilton Beach are starting rust toward the bottom but with the Black & Decker Helix hand mixer I won't have to worry about that since the beaters are made from a type of plastic material. I was extremely skeptical about the beaters being plastic towards the bottom. After using it I have no complaints! The beaters intertwine together for a more thorough mix. I used them to mix brownies and it went so much more smoother than my other hand mixer. I also noticed that it's a lot quieter than my other hand mixer as well. The Black & Decker Helix hand mixer comes with additional attachments. It comes with a whisk and dough hooks. I don't usually those but I'm glad it came with it that way I have the option to use them if I ever need to. My only dislike is the snap on case that's included. Sadly it didn't stay on after I put all the attachments in it. Not sure if it was just too heavy or what but it stays on when there's nothing in it. Overall this is a great mixer. The Helix premium hand mixer makes a perfect addition to our cooking needs. It comes with 2 helix beaters, 2 dough hooks and 1 wire whisk. All the accessories fit nicely in the case and the mixer sits perfectly on top which makes a nice compact storage solution. I made mashed potatoes and they were the smoothest potatoes I ever had. I have been needing a new mixer for the longest time and this one fell into my lap! I love all the features of this product! From it having five speeds to the turbo speed to get heavy thick batters to combine.To it coming with nylon helix beaters,2 dough hooks, and a wire whisk. It comes with a storage case for your accessories. Easy to use and easy to eject accessory to use another. The mixer contains a heel to bowl rest which keeps the mixer upright. Our 15 year old loves to bake but hated our old mixer. Suffice it to say she has been reinspired. The quick snap attachments make for easy prep. Speed selector makes adjusting to different textures seemless. The new design makes clean up simple. Convienant storage and the slim design makes storage effortless. I was excited to get this hand held mixer as I like to bake and I got it at the perfect time as I am baking cookies and cakes for a party my family is having. The mixer I have now is also a Black and Decker that is about 40 years old. My old mixer still works very good so I know the Black and Decker brand is well made. It took me a moment to figure out how to insert the beaters so that they lock in place but other than that everything worked great. The mixer works good, it blends and mixes really well. I was hesitant that the helix beaters might not do well since they are plastic but I was pleasantly surprised. They mixed and blended so much faster than my old mixer. My cake batter was nice and smooth, I tried the dough hooks to mix my cookie dough and it did really good. The whisk made my meringue perfect. I like the heel and bowl rest where you can rest the mixer on a bowl. One of my favorite things I like is the storage case, it holds the beaters and cord and the mixer attaches to the top of it and it fits in my cabinet nicely. The case does sometimes come loose when I pick it up but I still like it I just keep a hand under it when I pick it up. It has 5 speeds and a turbo boost which is a nice feature. It's quiet, stylish, light weight and easy to clean. So glad I got this mixer it's a wonderful addition to my baking tools. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I got this for when I bake cookies with the kids, love the different mixing attachments, it comes with two beaters for normal mixing which have twist design which seems to make it a little easy to mix, it has two dough hook attachments to use with thicker dough, and it come with one whisk for whipping, which I used to so mix to make scrambled eggs and French toast so far because my kids seem to be a little weird when there eggs are different colors, lol, I like how everything fits into storage container and the mixer goes right on top to make it easy to store, would definitely recommend [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
