As a child my mother would let me help her when she baked cakes. She had a Dormeyer Mixmaster and always cautioned me about being careful. As an adult I only used a hand mixer with limited uses. I now own a Kitcnenaid Tilt-Head Stand Mixer and realize how much easier cake making and bread making are when you let the machine do the work. I look forward to the using it time after time. I purchased this about 1 month ago and have used it to make cookies, pizza dough, bread, and meatloaf so far. Absolutely love it! My bread and dough products are vastly improved over hand kneading and while it mixes with the dough hook for 6-7 minutes I can work on other parts of recipe. Mixing meatloaf I used the paddle and it was so much cleaner and thorough than by hand. The bowl and attachments are very easy to clean and I find I use less bowls since this mixes so well. Some reviewers said when mixing it was loud, but I don't find it loud. This was a great addition to my kitchen and it allows me to bake more often since it makes overall preparation faster and less messy. Lastly I found that when top is raised up it still fits under my cabinets which allows me to keep it further back from the edge of the counter. After going through 5 hand mixers and 3 Sunbeam mixers. I decided to take the next step and purchase my first kitchenaid.I've never been disappointed. It's a powerful mixer and I must say I look forward to baking more! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

This was given to as a wonderful surprise gift about a month ago. Now I look for any excuse to use it. I bake and decorate cakes and cupcakes a lot and this mixer has made it like 10x easier make all the elements I need. I never thought I needed this piece of machinery until my kids have it to me for Christmas, and then I still wasn't sure UNTIL my husband actually used it to knead the pizza dough we make every Sunday night. It's been great for any kind of mixing tho. Easy to use and easy cleanup. Love it!!!!

My husband bought me the mixer for Christmas because I tell him for every holiday and anniversary that is what I want. Of course he had to wait until he afford it. But I GOT ONE!!! WOOOHOOO. Use it whip up lucious mashed potatoes. Even made some home rolls and cookies. Cant say enough good about it. I would love to be able to afford all of the attachments as I love to cook.

I bought this mixer to replace a larger model. The bowl is a much better size for mixing smaller quantities and the beater works efficiently to to make sure everything is well mixed. The larger mixer I had left some unmixed ingredients at the bottom of the bowl.

I grew up baking with my mother and really missed that hobby. However, once going to college and leaving behind the high powered mixer I decided, after trying make cookies sans mixer, my baking days were behind me. Fast forward many years later and I decided to gift myself with a mixer for xmas commemorating turning the big 3-0. Best thing ever! It was so easy to use and my cookie batter was deliciously and perfectly mixed. Highly recommend this staple for all households!
