some softer vegetables get stuck between blade, doesnt chop or shred everything well

Awesome Slicer! Has enough power to cut through anything you should put in it. Kind of odd to figure out how everything goes together at first, but easy use afterwards. Cuts perfect slices!

Sure, this machine performs well and the blades are easy to clean, but will you please tell us how to unlock the processing basin so we can give it a thorough washing also? Our recommendation to others depends on your answer. ;-)

I am impressed with this slice and dice. My favorite part??? That it has a holding container for all the blades that fit right in. This is great for storage and feels safer than ones I had in the past where the blades just laid around or were in a drawer. The blades and parts are color coordinated and this helps when you are putting the pieces together. To be honest that is the only challenging thing--putting it together. It will come with practice I am sure...but with so many pieces it is work to assemble. It is no more difficult than any other food slicer, but you do have to learn or use the manual for your first run through. How does it work? Great. I was impressed with the dicer --I made a salsa and it was perfect! I have used the julienne and the thick and thin slicing modes as well. It is great. Couldn't wait to give this a try! I will tell you it did not disappoint. We made Scalloped Potatoes so we sliced 10 lbs of potatoes with this and right after we decided to make carrot cake so we shredded a couple of pounds of carrots. It's nice that it goes into the bowl. I had never had a food processor like this but found it quite handy. I love the suction cups that hold it to the counter. It has so many blade choices and the case to store them in is great so there is no chance of anyone getting cut. My daughter loves this we cut our hand cutting time down by 95%.
