I've had my food processor for 4 years and use it on average 8 times per year. The multipurpose blade broke on the inside. A metal part rusted and broke and it came appart in three pieces making the blade useless. It's not rotating anymore. I am very disappointed whit the quality of this product. Especially for the price point. All my small appliances are KitchenAid but I am not satisfied with this one.

Extremely dissatisfied with this product. Blade separated and failed while processing boiled potatoes.

I thought this processor was wonderful until the 3rd time I went to use it, the blade broke. I expected more from KitchenAid.

Have the 13cup KitchenAid Food Processor and was using the big multi-purpose blade to mix ingredients for sausage balls (1lb sausage, cheese, etc) to take on vacation. Everything was running smoothly until it stopped churning. Investigating, the blade would not detach. After struggling, I finally got it detached, could not see anything obvious that was wrong. Re-attached and continued but still did not work properly. Again it would not detach but when it did now see the issue. The motor apparently reamed out the blade shaft and no longer seats. Therefore the blade it shot which is crippling. :( We have many other KitchenAid products and enjoy them. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Almost every small electric in my kitchen is a beloved KitchenAid, and I've never had something like this happen before: my food processor's "multipurpose blade" stopped moving. I was only trying to make bread crumbs from fresh bread! I could hear the machine going, but the blade was just vibrating in place. After trying several machinations, I tugged--the blade came off leaving a plastic piece attached to the bowl and 2 rusted metal parts on the floor (then in my basset's mouth!). Whenever I've needed a part (such as a coffee carafe broken during a move), I've been able to get that replacement with no problem. That has not been my experience this time. Sounds like I'll be buying a new food processor...and it won't be KitchenAid for the first time in my 14 years of married life. :-( (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

The external plastic piece sheard off from the part in the bowl. This was a Christmas gift and today (1-3) was first use. Greatly disappointed in the product. My husband was making dog food out of cooked squash, he's not very happy with the food processor now. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
Disappointed husband.

The first time, and now only time, that I used my new food processor, the blade got stuck and stopped processing the dough. When I finally managed to pull it out, the inside shaft was broken. I had to finish the dough with my mixer. I love my Kitchenaid mixer, and expected the same quality. I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased. Yep, just like previous reviews, our multi-purpose blade broke at the stem from the inside. Very disappointed and extremely frustrated. Seems like there is a design flaw if we're all having the same issue. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Bought this as gift to wife. She used it with this attachment just a few times and it came loose inside and slips instead of doing what it is supposed to. I'm pretty handy, but I cannot fix this. Really surprised KitchenAid would let a product like this go to market. The picture I attached, that is not supposed to be three pieces! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
