The Bonavita Connoisseur creates fabulously good pots of coffee for a lot less money. It's compact, easy to use, and has few parts to clean. Its thermal carafe keeps contents hot for hours.

Pros: simple design, auto-shutoff, and makes excellent coffee. Demonstrably better coffee than the Braun it replaced which I attribute to proper brew temp on the Bonavita.

I purchased the Bonavita because I liked the infusion brew option, the stainless steel carafe and it had great reviews. I’ve used it for a week and am very happy with it. Coffee stays very hot. It is well designed and easy to clean. It is more expensive than other brands but I received a good discount and quick shipping. Definitely would recommend this coffee brewer.

I switched to this brand based on all the research I did and reviews that were given it's a quality coffee maker and I recommend using the pre-soak cycle to enjoy an even better cup of coffee
