My old percolator finally gave up the ghost. I loved it, except for having to chew the last cup in the pot. I decided to go back to a drip style and remembered that at one time I had a Proctor Silex many moons ago. It does exactly what I remembered...makes great coffee. It's fast, but not quick. It has the timer and the two-hour shut off. I can't figure out why people seem to have a problem with filling the water tank, though. For cripes sake, do they fill it in the dark? You're looking right at it! Just be more careful. I have yet to miss the tank. (Okay, I'm talking about the coffee maker tank, not the OTHER one!). All in all, I'm quite pleased with this product.

I was looking for a coffee pot that the Carafe did not leak. I can pour the coffee and I don't have to wipe the counter. I had a Mr. Coffee and the carafe leaked. The coffee is hot and I bought a 2nd one for our camper. You will not be dis appointed with this coffee pot..

Brews quickly, keeps coffee hot up to 2 hours. Pleased with it, but don't count on getting 12 actual cups from it. Maybe 8 regular cups or 10 small cups.

As the "Summary" said, "Makes hot coffee". "Inexpensively" constructed. I see many potential "breakable" items including the carafe. The electrical cord is way too short (a "safety" concern I'm sure). It will reach the outlet on the right side of the sink BUT I have to move the entire machine in order to pour in the water as the lid bangs into the cupboard when it is opened. The outlet on the left side is situated so that the top cannot be opened unless it is unplugged and moved forward which then requires re-programming the clock after re-positioning and re-connecting. It sure would be nice if these manufacturers installed a lighted digital display so that it could be seen. Same thing with my previous device and my neighbors have the same complaint about their coffee maker as well (different brand). Can't believe the addition of one LED would be that difficult. The instructions were printed on a single sheet of paper (multiple languages) and were (supposedly) done to be "green" and to save paper by using extremely small print, so small I had to get a magnifying glass to read them! Yes, I am old but that piece of paper was ridiculous! This replaces a "Mr. C" maker that died 5 months after the warranty expired (my previous "Mr. C". to that one was still working but developed an unrepairable leak). Interestingly, I used my 20+ year old "Ham. B." 4-cupper (no timer) while waiting for delivery. Nice long cord and still makes a decent cup of coffee. Guess they are all made the same now. Can't expect much for twenty bucks. I really don't think it would have been any better if I spent more money.

This is the second Proctor Silex coffeemaker I have used. The first one lasted 8 years and of course after 8 years the product was no longer available. I tried 3 competitive brands and not one matched the Proctor Silex coffeemaker in ease of use, and great tasting coffee.

The coffeemaker that I bought was the white version. Being white, it is easier to spot any areas that need to be cleaned. I find that the water fill compartment opening is somewhat small. It just requires a little more care when pouring the water in. When brewing a fresh pot of coffee, the temperature is more of a medium hot and not the hi hot that I prefer. The burner that the pot sits on works well and helps to make the coffee hot the way I like it. Timing is everything. Program the coffeemaker to start earlier and allow some time for the filled pot to sit and warm up on the burner. Overall, I really like the coffeemaker. I think the price is a good deal compared to similar brands that charge more for the same functionality.

Nice, compact unit. It is a 12 cup pot, however, they must be small cups. I like using a mug and I don't get as many cups of coffee as usual. Still, a nice machine.

I wanted a coffee maker that is just simple and basic. To the point, no frills, makes coffee and keeps it warm. So far so good!

This is my first programmable coffee maker and I love it. I wasn't looking for anything too fancy and this is exactly what I wanted. It's simple and easy to use. I also love how sturdy it is. The coffee maker we had before was too light and every time you'd go to push a button or put the pot back on it would slide around the counter so I'm very happy this one stays in place. It also makes the coffee a nice hot temperature which I love because my previous one made warm coffee. Overall I'm extremely pleased with this product. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a sturdy, easy to use, programmable coffee maker.

Have only used this for a week. Seems like a good deal for the price. It's easy to pour the water into and easy to program. I have not tried all the features yet, probably won't for a while. Mainly used for a pot in the morning. I wish I could extend the warming time to 4 hours because my son gets up real early on some days.
