Makes a great cup of coffee and does it faster than any machine I have owned. The design doesnt allow for a timer to set but the water reservoir makes for a quick pot of coffee. Well under 5 minutes from the time you pour in your water. It almost starts to brew immediately. If you love coffee I highly recommend it.

This is, simply put, a coffee maker for those that just want good coffee made Fast. No timers or auto shut-off...YES, part of adulthood is remembering to shut off the coffee maker. I owned the cuintessential Cuisinart 12-cup for over 20years and it served me well, but the simplicity of this coffee maker appealed to me when the Cuisinart finally played out. You can make partial pots and if you have a crowd and need more than one pot, the 2nd pot will be ready in 4 minutes. If you're into aesthetics, Bunn is an old, steady brand that has the commercial look of a Diner. It will be the last coffee maker you buy.

I like the Bunn coffee makers as they make a pot of coffee in three minutes. The coffee stays hot all day which is great when you're in the mood for coffee later in the day. I didn't want to buy a "pod" style coffee maker as the price for pods is just crazy. My husband and friends are all coffee drinkers and all of us enjoy the ease and end result of a cup of coffee made in a Bunn. You want a good cup of cofee? Buy a Bunn.

Last Bunn coffeemaker lasted around 5 years, I don't know if this one will do as well. It makes delicious coffee very quickly, what it is famous for. The components like the warmer are noticeably lower quality than my last model. The new one has a warmer that is cheap & thin looking compared to the old. I also notice a burning plastic smell that my last Bunn brewer didn't have. It isn't terrible, but I've had it a month & it still is something I notice when I lean in to wipe off the counter top (it sits in an alcove below cabinets). I have to get close to notice it & I have a pretty good nose, so it isn't horrible or making me fear it will burn the house down.

I've used Krups and Cuisinart coffee makers for the last decade. I almost passed up this unit because it lacks the programmable start feature. As I though about it I realized that I drink coffee all day. The two hour shut off most makers have is a hassle. (Cold Coffee) This unit brews the entire pot in about 3 minutes. I can get used to waiting 3 minutes for my coffee. Setup is a bit different. Read the directions or you may damage this unit. When you set this ting up the first time you will pour two pots of water into the machine. The first pot goes into a heated tank that preheats the water to the perfect starting temperature for the next brew. The second pot will replace the heated water that brews your first pot of coffee. This unit has two power switches. One on the left side near the back that pre-heats the water for the next brew. The one shown on the front powers the hot plate under the pot. You leave the reservoir switch on all the time. (Again, read the directions) You really only control power to the hot plate under the pot. I brewed my first pot using the same coffee, and amount of coffee, that I normally use. Without question it brewed a better tasting pot of coffee. It's fast, it's quiet, and the coffee tastes better than it did with previous units. For this I gave up the programmability and auto shut off features. It was worth it.

After more than ten years of yeoman service--multiple pots daily from very hard tap water--our old BX finally died (warmer stopped working) a little over a year ago, so we sprung for a newer version, the NH, for its more modern look, never mind the higher price. The first NH leaked out of the box, the second took around 8 minutes to brew (so much for "velocity"), and had a disgusting habit of spitting a tablespoon or so of hot water unbidden between brews into fresh grounds readied for the next pot, but we kept it in hopes it would improve with a little use. It didn't, and we lost patience with it. This BX works just like our old one did. Ten cups of great brew (if you grind your own good beans!) in less than three minutes, so fast you'll have coffee before you can get even a cold breakfast ready for the table. Be sure to use the Bunn filters as the brewing process uses them to nearly full depth, and will overflow the cheapies, allowing grounds into the carafe (and your cup). Note to Bunn: if it works, don't fix it!

I tried to save a few dollars by buying the Bunn Velocity Brew NHS and it did not compare to this Bunn Velocity Brew BXB. This fill tank lid lifts (instead of slides like NHS) which the lift design gives it a better design for triggering the water flow sensor. The filter basket slides in securely with this BXB design where as the NHS design was hard to slide in right and most of the time either did fall out or felt like it was going to fall out. I LOVE this coffee brewer and it is really sharp looking. I was nervous about the stainless steel and how fussy it would be for keeping clean. The stainless steel has a nice finish on it where it doesn't show finger prints and maintains easy. It makes coffee very fast as well as multiple pots back to back fast for large crowds. Very happy with this purchase. Make sure to buy the deeper coffee filters. You can get by with standard filters but the grounds splash onto the upper part of the filter basket so you need to rinse the grounds out of the basket between brews. Great coffee pot for a serious coffee drinker.

My old BUNN was wider and taller and I loved it for 7yrs. It was still brewing great coffee but had started to leak. My new BUNN is smaller, more narrow and also makes a beautiful cup of coffee, fits better in the space allowed and hopefully will last for 7 years. I've never had another brand last more than 3yrs. I totally recommend the Bunn coffee maker to anyone who loves coffee and doesn't want to wait more than 3 minutes. I LOVE my new BUNN!!

Not sure what number this is, but for almost all 40 years of marriage we've had a Bunn. They hold up to heavy usage, extra on holidays. Love having coffee almost immediately.

I've been using Bunn coffee makers for 20 years. Superb product. However, this unit does 2 things that I'm concerned about. 1. It has an odd smell when it is on. Coffee tastes great - no impact there. It just has a "burning" odor to it. It's constant and I think it has to do with the heating element in the water tank. Maybe it just keeps it hot and it's the hot plastic smell. Sometimes it smells electrical. I can't tell. I'm keeping an eye on it. Might even return it if it doesn't clear up. It's done it since I plugged it in over 2 weeks ago. 2. The other item is that if you want a half pot of coffee, all the water that you pour in, doesn't come back out. No big deal, I just don't know why that is. And then if you add a little more water to the tank, you get a whole lot more out of the dripper. Just a curious anomaly. Other than that, great coffee maker.
