Actually I was ordering a replacement cover for my old crock pot but when I recurve for a whole new one I decided to keep it. The hinged cover is so convenient.

I bought this some time ago but had no idea I could look for parts on here I was very happy with my purchase until the handle to lift the lid broke off without any rough use I'm so disappointed In not only myCrock-pot but now this site where I can not find my handle to purchase I was misinformed by a friend that I should be able to do just that on here Since it broke food burns because there are now 2 holes where the handle was attached to the lid I have had a Crock Pot for 40 years and would never have purchased any other brand I also have given them as gifts My husband refuses to purchase an other one becaus of what has happened I am out of my favorite kitchen cooking appliance

Everyone loses a lid at a potluck. Da-da! This is the cure! I love the lid attached for this reason, though it is a little hassle washing it, it is so worth not losing the lid!

I bought this for my brother to replace one he dropped and broke. He made dinner for us a few days after I gave it to him and it works great! So convenient to have the hinged lid!

I cook for myself and my 90 y/o Mom, this cooker is great for beef stew, chicken stew, vegetable soup and chicken soup. I just recently learned how to cook, and this is definitely a major help. All of the meals I prepare are one pot meals.

I received my Crock-Pot as a gift and was beyond excited to use it! Lo and behold after the third use, the darn hinge broke off the lid. So disappointed in a product I was so looking forward to getting much use of. This was supposed to replace a much older Crock-Pot that had provided us with many wonderful meals. I bought this Crockpot a few months ago to replace our old faithful avacado green Crockpot that lasted many years. I was excited to receive this and hoping to get many years out of it, but it broke! The black plastic piece that attatches the cooker to the lid- well the plastic on the lid side broke, so I can't use it without getting burnt! So disappointed.

I love that the lid for this Crock Pot is attached and hinged. It makes the hassle of putting it down when serving SO much easier! If I take it anywhere I don't risk losing or leaving with out the lid!! My only concern was that when you FIRST use it and don't know to watch out for the steam, it could really get you! I think there should be a bigger warning about that danger. I also love that the crock is 6 qt! It's the perfect size for entertaining! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I really like this crockpot. The main reason I like it is because of the hinged top lid. I am a frequent user of crockpots and I find myself getting frustrated when I have to remove the lid and it drips all over the counter. The hinged top lid allowed me to easily access the contents of the crockpot without making a mess and allowed for easier access. As for the food itself, it has all been cooked very well in this crockpot. Everything has turned out absolutely delicious. The only complaint that I have is that I do not like when a crockpot does not have a visible timer. This crockpot offers a knob that you can turn the setting that you want for cooking. I prefer automated systems that countdown and then automatically switch to warm. Overall, though, this is a great crockpot and I recommend it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is a decent basic slow cooker that's easy to use. The hinged lid is much more useful and convenient than I anticipated. I made a butternut squash, carrot & onion soup in it and the hinged lid helped me to keep the contents from splattering when I used my stick blender to combine the ingredients into a puree by simply tilting the lid slightly forward. Regrettably, there is no digital display or timer so if these features are important to you, you'll want to look elsewhere. However, if you don't need a timer or digital display, this is a decent value. Disclaimer: I received this as a review sample but the opinions given here are my own.
