This crock pot is so handy, I would be lost without it. I use it at least once every week. Right now I can smell the brisket that is cooking in my pot and it is making me hungry. I use it for family meals, soups and yes, even deserts.

I purchased this model as a means to carry a designated dish to parties. With the locking top this Crock-Pot works perfectly!

We bought this Crockpot two months and have see it often. It cooks thoroughly and we love the top latches. Also the automatic move to keep warm after the designated cooking time is so cool. A great product.

I bought this t replace an older model that is worn. Tried it for the first time this weekend and it was perfect. This replaced a larger round crockpot and I do like the oval size.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS CROCKPOT TO REPLACE AN OLDER MODEL CROCKPOT. I LIKE THE PROGRAMMABLE FEATURE ON THIS CROCKPOT AND IT LOOKS NICE WHILE IT IS COOKING. THE ONLY THING ABOUT IT IS I WISH IT WAS AN 8 QT. INSTEAD OF A 6 QT. MY OLD CROCKPOT DID NOT HAVE ANY INFORMATION THAT IDENTIFIED SIZE. I ASSUMED IT TO BE A 6 QT., BUT IT IS MUCH BIGGER THAN THIS NEW ONE. FOR SOME DISHES, I NEED AN 8 QT. IN RED. I CHECKED ON YOUR WEB PAGE AND YOU DON'T SHOW ONE.

This is the 2nd personal crock pot I purchased for myself and the seventh I've purchased for friends. I've used the recipe book provided, the internet and magazine for menu ideas; everyone has come out perfectly from stews to baby back ribs to corned beef and cabbage. If you don't have one you must get asap! Extra bonus: pull together and forget about and house smells oh so good when you come home!

WHY WOULD NO ONE TELL ME THE MAGIC OF SLOW COOKERS RIGHT WHEN THEY BECAME A THING!? Seriously this thing is a busy person's savior or in my case, a lazy person's dream! This one is plenty large enough and incredibly easy to use. I mean really look at the buttons on this thing, if you can't figure that out, you have other things to sort out rather than look at slow cookers. Reviews say this one runs a bit hotter than most, but I've followed a handful of recipes and their cook times seem to be accurate. I really love that this model will automatically switch to keep warm after the timer you set expires. That last part is crucial for me because I work 10+ hour shifts and most recipes even on low are about 8 hours. That keep warm feature makes sure my food isn't burnt, but still warm when I get home.

Looks nice sitting on the counter. It cooks wonderfully, leaving me free to go about my day. I can put things on before bedtime and they are ready to serve the next morning. Everything tastes so good. I'm in love with my Crock Pot!

UPDATE: Feb. 17, 2015. I have used this Crock-Pot a dozen times since writing my review ... and it gets better and better! I've made casseroles, breakfast dishes, beans, roast, ribs, Mexican food dishes - all just great (including the chicken/rice recipe with the rice cooked in the Crock-Pot)! The stoneware liner is easy to clean and food is NOT sticking to the sides or bottom. Warmer feature is super and it does not appear to be too hot. I found that when a cooking time range is given, such as 6-8 hours, I should probably go with the low or middle part of the range. For someone who actually HATES to cook, I'm becoming a regular Betty Crocker, and even experimenting, because cooking is SO easy with this appliance. I'm SO glad I made this purchase! Now ... back to your regular programming with the original review ...

----------------

I have an old Crock-Pot and it still works, but is too small for a roast, etc. So I got this one for two reasons: 1) bigger, 2) can program the time and temperature setting. I've only used it twice and, at this point, I am extremely satisfied. Should things change, I most definitely will update.

The programmable feature is really nice because you can set the cooking temperature on LOW or HIGH and set the cooking time in 30-minute increments all the way up to 20 hours. Some other "programmable" slow cookers have a few time/temp combination options but they are quite limited - this one gives you total control. Once the programmed cooking time is finished, the Crock-Pot automatically turns to "warm." The controls are touch (instead of turn dials) and very user-friendly. The user manual is small, but complete, and includes a couple recipes.

My first dish: Breakfast Casserole (photo attached). Very tasty and the Crock-Pot worked perfectly. There was some extra browning around the edges so I probably need to adjust the cook time a bit ... and you'll have to do that with any slow cooker. Second dish: Hot Sausage Stew. Again, the appliance worked perfectly and the "warm" feature is great because the food finished cooking before I was ready to eat. Keep in mind: you may consider the "warm" temp to be hotter than you expect but that's because of government regulations, not the Crock-Pot.

This Crock-Pot holds a LOT of food! I'm cooking for just me so I put some in the fridge and the rest in smaller containers in the freezer. And since I truly hate to cook, this is the best way to keep me out of the kitchen but still have good food to eat.

The food I prepared didn't stick to the stoneware and it was super easy to clean. Just hot, soapy water and rinse. You can also put the stoneware and the glass lid in the dishwasher. I will probably never use the "carry" function but I did try the locked lid and the rubber seal is tight and should make it easy to take your dish to the potluck, etc. Just don't lock the lid while you're cooking!

Bottom line: the ability to truly program the cooking time/temp ... and the "warm" function ... make this my top kitchen appliance (right along side my George Foreman grill). I'm actually looking for slow cooker recipes to try - and I can't believe I'm doing that! My old Crock-Pot is at least 15 years old and that's why I chose this brand. Because of the "computer" that allows the programming, I know the chances of it lasting that long are probably slim because the fancier you get, the more chances you have of something going wrong. But the price is right and, so far, I'm very happy with my purchase. Amazon shipping was fast and the slow cooker was packed in its original box with plenty of protection.

This crock-pot replaced one very similar, but I dropped the lid and couldn't find a replacement because I had it for so long. This one is even better because you can see at a glance how much time is left before it switches to "warm".

I have only used once but I can tell you that my beef stew came out perfect! I set the timer for 5 hrs. maybe 6 and that was it. I love that it goes to warm setting and shuts itself off. This crock pot washes great I love the stainless steel. So far I am pleased.

Works just as described. Like the timer feature. Cooks well. One of the locks is a little too floppy but not an issue. Great product, would recommend to others.

This is a very good all-around slow cooker. The crock insert is much better than the non-stick finish on some others (you won't have to worry about scatching the surface). I really like the programability and that it will switch to warm to keep food at an optimal temp until I get back home. The ability to take prepared food in the cooker without worrying about spills is also a plus; the lid seals very well. The only thing I would have liked better is if they had this item in a 7 or 8 quart size with the locking lid capability.

My husband enjoys participating in various cook-offs, which means transporting the crock pot. The cover on our old crock pot was constantly slipping off and the contents spilling over the sides. The new crock pot allows him to set the crockpot in the back seat and not worry about it. He also loves the timer feature because he can start his latest creation, set the timer, and know that it will shift over to the warming feature when he needs it to.
