I have several Cuisinart appliances; this one was poorly designed and did not meet expectations. When pouring water into reservoir, it went straight through to the warmer plate which means you'd have to use something else other than carafe to fill the reservoir. Also, the only coffee maker I've ever had where the on/off/on switch are on the side vs front of coffee maker, so would need to turn the whole pot around every time you fill it from the front in order to see wheter on/off (I don't utilize auto off since in order to not leave partial or empty carafe on hot plate. Lesson learned: Don't rely on-line product speel, buy in store where you can see what you're actually getting.

The cone shaped filter makes a whole world of a difference...much better tasting coffee..timing is not bad.. the size is very practical for 1 to 2 persons..the look is good..I have yet to try the reusable cone filter..love it so far.

MAKES MUCH BETTER COFFEE DUE TO CONE FILTER, USE LESS COFFEE AND THE TASTE IS MUCH BETTER. A LITTLE PRICEY FOR A 4 CUP COFFEE MAKER, BUT I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN SOME CASES.

The main thing is the quality of the coffee maker. It is not flimsy like Mr. Coffee pots are. Also, it has a cone filter, which is much better and more efficient than flat filters. You can use less coffee with a cone filter because it concentrates the water more thoroughly through the coffee grounds than a flat filter does.
