Overall, the K-Elite is the Keurig model that offers the most features and customization, from temperature control, to Strong Brew, to various brew sizes, to iced coffee and pretty much everything in between. It’s also very elegant and stylish: it comes in 3 different premium colors (brushed slate, brushed silver or brushed gold) that will easily blend in with your kitchen.

I have always loved my Keurig machines. They make my cup of java as fast as 1. 2. 3.

If the sound of coffee beans grinding isn’t the soothing melody you’d like to wake up to in the morning, but the smell of coffee is what it takes to get you out of bed, Keurig’s line of coffee makers is likely the right choice for your kitchen. For years, the company has been delivering easy-to-use machines that require as little work as possible to make a cup of coffee — after all, it’s the first thing in the morning. Do you really have the mental capacity to think all that much?

And while simplicity has always been at the heart of Keurig machines, that straightforwardness has also come with some drawbacks. You can’t do much customization when you’re just putting a K-Cup into a Keurig, and there also hasn’t historically been much variation when it comes to how big of a cup of coffee you could make. But this all changes with the introduction of the Keurig K-Elite coffee maker.

We've tested a number of Keurig machines, and for the most part we've found the coffee produced to taste the same no matter what machine it's made with. The K-Elite is the only machine that slightly bucks that trend. In our side-by-side taste tests we found that the K-Elite produced an ever so slight reduction in that plasticy aftertaste that many people complain about with K-Cups. If you already can't stomach K-Cups because of the plastic taste, the K-Elite certainly doesn't do enough to fix that problem. However, if you're already hooked on the convenience of K-Cups and find that plastic taste a minor annoyance, this machine may improve your Keurig experience a little bit.

There’s a new Keurig on the block and this one is definitely different – Different in that you’ll be able to have a similar experience if you enjoyed the more “classic” Keurigs of the past; but this time with some new additions and options. Different in that with this model you can brew a little stronger, a little hotter with the temperature control, and over ice if that’s your pleasure.
