The Cuisinart Elite Chopper/Grinder handles a variety of food preparation tasks, such as chopping, grinding, pureeing, emulsifying, and blending. The 4 cup capacity holds enough ingredients to perform all your basic food prep tasks. The patented SmartPower auto-reversing blade features an incredibly sharp edge for delicate chopping and pureeing soft foods. The reverse edge is blunt, to grind through spices and harder foods. And the exclusive BladeLock System enables the blade to lock into the bowl, so you can now pour ingredients out of the bowl without first having to remove the blade. The powerful high-speed motor works hard and fast to accomplish small jobs with ease. Chop herbs, onions or garlic; grind spices or hard cheese; puree baby foods; blend homemade mayo and flavored butter -- all in one compact machine that is small enough to keep on the counter. You have virtually unlimited options with the Cuisinart Elite Collection Chopper/Grinder.

Easy peasy quick and easy. I even bought an extra bowl and lid for non grinding. Grinding may scratch the interior so I'd like to keep them separate. All the manual cutting, chopping and slicing I can now do with this great cute little machine. Though I don't keep it out on the counter, too many nice looking gadgets already that need to be stored. That's the only thing I have about buying a new toy, where to put it!

Great little chopper, I received it as a gift and I am very pleased with it. I used it to mince meat for a recipe, make hummus and chop nuts so far and it did all of those things perfectly. I used it to rice cauliflower flowers well and it wasn't what I would cal perfect but definitely good. There were a few bigger pieces left and I felt as though if I would have kept mincing it might have over minced it. Easy to clean and seems durable, the metal base seems like it makes it feel sturdier and vibrate less while using it.

It is an “okay” kitchen appliance. I admit I don’t use it much as it is a bit lightweight and just a stupid purchase on my part. I thought it would be a great chopper for onions, carrots, celery for food prep. Not so much. Wasted money and valuable storage space.

Chops evenly, and quickly. Really easy to use, and clean up after. One small difficulty is how hard the lid is to get off after it has been used. Took three of us to get it off after the last batch of chopped pistachios.

The cover requires two hands to remove, one to hold the bottom to keep it from turning and one to twist the top. Difficult to clean the inside of the blade. The handle gets moisture inside, when washed, that takes a while to dry out. Otherwise, very happy with the performance.

Made applesauce, and everyone loved the texture. Takes up very little space inside a cabinet. Easy to use and easy to clean. I love it. A friend ordered one. She has a problem with her hand and cutting fruits and vegetables into small pieces is something she cannot do. As do I. But now we have no problem.

Some reviews state unit is “die cast-“ leading one to believe the base is made of die cast metal, when in fact it appears to be injection molded plastic. Works great so far. Does what it’s supposed to do, like the blade lock feature! My biggest problem will be down sizing recipes to accommodate the size

I would not recommend this product. The top is very hard to get off. In fact, mine is stuck now, and I can't get it off at all. Also, it takes several attempts to get the container in the correct position to lock and be able to start. When it did work, I liked the results. However, it has become too frustrating to deal with. I don't need a big food processor and was hoping this would work for all my needs. I was definitely disappointed in the first Cuisinart product I've ever purchased.

Great mini chopper for your kitchen, does most of the things you want to do making salsa or chopping walnuts...etc...with a little chopper. I love it, I highly recommend it
