While I like Cuisinart’s attempt at offering a smaller blender for grinding and blending single-serve drinks, this blender doesn’t offer the best blending performance for smoothies or recipes with hard or fibrous ingredients.
There are a multiple blenders that compete in this price range with similar functionality that I would choose over this Cuisinart CPB 30 based on performance. For a blender with similar functionality I prefer this one

I use it to make smoothies in the morning and wouldn't go back to doing in a large blender. t's easy to use, convenient and the cups are nice and sturdy. The only thing I would caution against is the actual "Blender" type container is not very large so if you're looking to replace your full size blender with this one, just know you won't be able to do big batches of blending in one shot. You'll likely have to break it up into multiple batches. For example, when I make salsa I use two large cans of whole tomatoes and blend them, I would have to do one can at a time then combine in a bowl. Not a big deal, but just be mindful when purchasing. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I purchase this item for the simple reason that I have a diet in mind. I can make my fruit smoothies and enjoy the benefit of natural fruits on the spot. Comes with two big travel cups and they are sufficient to mix several fruits ready to blend. Plus I got the blender and a small food processor.

The grey Cuisinart Compact Juicing Blender offers the option of making large-batch (32-ounce) or single serve (16-ounce) drinks, plus it comes with a second 16-ounce plastic travel mug with a lid, an eight-ounce chopper cup, and four plastic reusable straws. However we can't promise that your smoothie won't have flecks of fruit and ice chunks left behind. Still, the Cuisinart has a simple three-speed control dial (for low, high and pulse settings) and offers you great flexibility and adequate results. Plus, it doesn't take up much counter space. Do keep in mind that the blade assembly is difficult, as it twists on and off in the opposite direction than we're used to (i.e. the opposite of lefty loosey, righty tighty).
