This is a really good home slicer. I've used it to cut deer meat for jerky. Haven't tried cheese, but for meat it is great.

I like the food slicer, but all the plastic pieces on it makes me wonder how long it will last. I have used it about five times and I have had trouble with the sliding piece getting stuck on the blade twice now.

Not super heavy duty, but does the job. Would recommend for light household use. Used it to slice baked ham and an eye of round roast beef.

Was a little skeptical because of the low price but surprised at it’s performance. Not the big heavy machine I used working a meat market years ago but very adequate for home use. First use was for home smoked bacon - cut the slab to fit slicer but it did a great job from thin to thick slices with cold bacon. Also sliced ham with good results. Clean up not a problem at all.

Was a wee bit worried about using a device like this, but it was simple to setup and safe to use. I cut up things just as I wanted. Great find for me.

The slicer did OK, but I could not get nice even slices as you would with a higher priced professional unit. When slicing pastrami, the brisket would rotate on the carriage (pushed by the blade resistance) which would round off the face of the meat. It was however much better than trying to slice it by hand.
