Bought this to replace a broken ice maker I'd had for years. Didn't realise how bad the old one was until I used this one. Makes ice quickly and relatively quietly. A good buy

Bought this for my sister who loves to chew ice and also entertain. She loves it and I was able to see it in action over the Christmas holiday. It was able to keep up with our needs as we enjoyed our cocktails and use of machine easy. The only negatives was it was a bit loud but, that may have been because under the cupboard is confined and in an open space maybe not an issue. The other thing is it is a bit large but, not too much so.

It is really a nice machine. It takes some time to make the ice and you are constantly empting out the ice into plastic ziplocks bags. It really does take a full day or two to make 50 pounds of ice. I use bottle water or my water from the RO system that is in my house. The ice taste better.

I always hated making ice cubes, and my fridge doesn't make them automatically, so, I would buy ice all the time and store it in the chest freezer. Never failed - we would run out of ice just when we needed it. This makes up a good supply of ice in a short time, and I store the "cubes" (look like large bullets) in the drawer of my upright freezer in a large plastic container. You do need to store the cubes in your freezer - the ice maker does not keep them frozen - they melt and the machine just makes more. This is so easy and convenient - absolutely love it. I turn the machine off when I have my supply of ice until the next time I need it.

The worst thing I can say about this ice maker is that sometimes it takes it a couple of rounds at start up to get the full-sized ice. Other than that, it is much better than the last one we had that broke after one year. Three sizes to choose and it is quite fast at making ice. The ice will stick together when they go in the freezer because they are wet, but I break them apart after about 10-15 minutes in the freezer then put them in freezer bags. I really can't say anything negative at this point and I am very happy with it so far.

This is my third Danby ice maker . The first two were the defective white models. This one is damaged out of the box. There is a dent that's hard to see in the picture but the drain is loose, broken. There is no damage to the box. It is obviously factory damage.

We have had this machine for 3 weeks and made quite a bit of ice. It works great and makes three sizes of cubes. We prefer the large size for our drinks. It works pretty fast and in about an hour you have a good amount of ice. WE love Danby products and this looks like another winner!!

I bought this for my basement bar, it works great. Ice in about 8 minutes. If the ice melts it just falls into reservoir and gets put back through into ice again

bought this ice maker 3 weeks ago to use on a boat trip. So far so good. We fill with water & start up at around 4:30pm. By 5pm we have plenty of ice for cocktails. We drink Highballs & use a cup of ice for every drink. It signals when you need to add water, so you do not run out of ice all evening. It makes 3 sizes of cubes- we only use the largest which are a sufficient size. They are "bullet" shape but are quite thick. The ice is better than what you buy in a bag. We keep it on the back deck ( under cover) & it performs well. No need to put cubes in a freezer as it hums right along making new ices as you use it up. Instructions tell you not to leave water in it, but we do & as long as you are using it every day I do not see an issue. I would empty if I was putting in storage or not using every day. Easy to keep clean. Get it in white.

This ice maker does exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it very well. Quiet and fast, it pumps out nice, uniform ice at a stead and quick rate. The self-clean feature is great, as is the ability to choose ice size, and the fact it automatically stops when the ice collection basket is full. Overall, a great ice machine that works very, very well.
