I’m giving this one star based on our inability to use this . I bought for my husband as a gift in May , and no distributor in our area has the 1/6 keg to use in this .... I patiently waited all this time to hopefully get some beer and try it out , but looks like I wasted lots of money , since I can’t return it .UPDATE!! The seller was kind enough to take this back , since we were unable to get a keg to fit in it .... we will be shopping for a new one soon !

Keeps the beer so cold when set on 32. I'm just sad I never got a kegerator sooner, the 1/6 keg lasts almost a month for me and finding a place to fill the 2.5lb c02 tank was a little hard. Most places want you to join an exchange program you have to buy into with a deposit. Having the supplied tank saved me another 80 bucks or so not having to do the tank exchange. Highly recommend even if it's just for the street cred! People flip when they find out you have an ice cold keg at home, especially if you filled it with something decent.

First thing was the guard in the kegerator was broke on the bottom. Once hooked up and running for almost a week it wont cool lower then 38dg at least thats what it says. Put a quart of water in and check the temperature holding around 40dg. Also having trouble with the regulator wont hold the proper co2 pressure! Tryed to get in contact with them they were close will try again. Very disappointing!!!! The only thing I can say it looks nice and easy to set up.

I use this for home-brew, so I had to change the d-lock to pin-lock connectors but it was easy to install the tap. The CO2 tank fits well, but I used my existing regulator so I can keep the provided one for the d-lock in case I ever buy a keg when I run out of home-brew. My bigger 5-lb CO2 tank also fits with the corny keg. I did have a leak from the liquid side of my own pin-lock connector (wish I could find good ones that don't leak) it would have been nice if the bottom of the refrigerator had a tray to catch this, but I added an aluminum pie plate under the keg. The tap and connections are tight and don't leak. One complaint is that the valve on the CO2 tank would not close completely so after filling it at the fire supply store I had to run to the hardware store to but a ball valve to put on it to keep the gas from leaking out until I could connect it back to the regulator

Don't waste your time with this. There's a reason its cheap. Even when you set the temp as low as possible to 32, it doesn't get your beer colder than low 40's. Can't prevent the foam and lack of carbonation at these temps. Trash product.

Easy to set up and the blue Led lights are a nice touch. Unfortunately showed up with a dent in the side of the door and will not chill colder than 37 degrees. Kegerator is located in my basement in Canada in the winter so I know it’s not the temp in the room.

This is exactly what I wanted... a quality kegerator. It was very easy to put together. I waited longer for my sixtel to arrive. I have been using my kegerator for about 6 weeks now. Works great! It was easy to adjust the C02. And, very easy to clean all of the lines and draft spout. I love it!

This item is what I needed for my wedding and have enjoyed it ever since. Took a little getting used to the adjustment. When I learned how to adjust the pressure, I get just the proper amount of foam, which is verey little. Oh yeah I would highly recommend this prouct.

Small dent in the front bottom right of the kegerator. Also, the 2.5 gallon CO2 tank is impossible to fill. I tried almost 10 places to fill or exchange it and had no luck. Finally, I took it to an AirGas company in West Chicago, IL and paid $117 for a new 7.5 gallon CO2 tank. Waste of $$$. The temperature gauge will not lower to 35-36 degrees which is ideal for beer temperature. It remains at 38 degrees no matter what I try.

Recently purchased this unit after doing some serious homework on the competition. This unit has a digital thermostat, an internal fan and a completely stainless tower / faucet from the factory which is unheard of at this price range!
I wanted a small compact unit and could not be happier with my decision. The added bonus is that this kegerator will accept a 5 gallon carboy if you set it up on the shelf and support the other side hanging off. I could not find a solid answer anywhere online. Posted an image to prove it, i was thrilled. You will need to run a blow off tube because an airlock will not fit above. I am also able to fit a standard 5 gal corny keg with 5lb gas bottle without an issue. I upgraded to an Intertap SS flow control faucet and shank right from the start, however the standard setup worked perfectly when i initially tested it. I also went a 10ft beer line, did not try the included 5 footer. The temperature controller can get stuck as mentioned in many reviews, however you can cycle the F/C button to get the correct current temp which is easy. I have found that setting and forgetting has worked out perfectly for me. The insulation in the tower is not the greatest as it restricts airflow, however that is an easy fix with a bit of tinkering. The regulator has been holding pressure correctly for me so far. I may try to figure out a way to keep the tower colder to prevent foam on the first pour. Overall, very pleased with the purchase.

I did not like that the 2.5 gallon tank that comes with the kegerator cannot be filled by most places. After searching I found that I could buy a 5 gallon tank that fits well in the kegerator and is easy to fill by a lot of gas filling companies.
Also, the 1/6 keg limitation limits the type of beers you can get for it. Blue Moon, Boulevard IPAs, Fat Tire and Michelob Ultra are about all I can find in my area. There are a couple other less known options. However, the options are acceptable. Also, with the 1/6 keg options the cost per beer is higher than if you purchased cans. I see a remarkable increase in the amount I spend on beer. Do not expect to save money on beer purchases.
I did like the ease it was to assemble. The instructions made it simple. Once I worked out the tank problem it was a snap to get my beer flowing. The tap works as expected and I have not had any problems with it yet.

This is my third update for this purchase. After owning the thing for about 4 months I determined that it is trash. Started immediately when my regulator that came with the unit failed and it trashed a keg of beer. No help from Compact Appliance at all. (The seller). Now after buying a new regulator and owning for about four months, the thing does NOT get colder then about 45 degrees. I set the temp to 33 or so and with a thermometer in there the actual reads about 45. The beer tastes warm and there seems to be nothing I can do to get it cold. It is kept in a basement that is no warmer than 60 degrees in the summer. At this point the only thing this kegerator has going for it is that it does look nice.

When we hooked up the first discovery was the CO2 bottle was empty - had to fill it - then got foamy flat beer. So after looking on the web established technique to carbonating the beer (48 hours at 30 psi) & reducing the foam (low temp) - now (almost) perfect pour & fantastic beer..... there is lots of noise about hose length not being long enough but for amber ale, the 5ft hose supplied with the kegerator, 32 degrees and 6 psi seems to be almost perfect...... I had somewhat low expectations but I am totally impressed - as are everyone who comes to the house......

Purchased this product less than 1 year ago and have only had it plugged in and in use a total of 4 times. On attempt #5 it would not cool; took it to appliance repair shops and they said the compressor is shot. Cost for a new one is $200 - hardly worth it especially after failing so quickly! Reached out to the seller and have received no response! Super disappointed, spend your money on a different product.

It's a very cost effective kegerator. Nice stainless front and small foot print. I just wish it had a guage for how much Co2 is left in the tank. It only has one that shows the tap pressure, so you are left guessing. But for the price, it's a decent deal.

This product is not what the photos show! The color is much darker in person. It is very difficult to screw the tapper on, beacuse it is made very cheap. I tried for hours and could not get the keg on in a way the door would shut! Photos look great but it is not what it shows. The sender does not get back with you when you send emails. Be careful if you buy this since mine does not work and i can not send it back.

It keeps beer cool enough. However, the coupler and sankey that come with it are garbage. I had to buy a new sankey because the one that came with it caused my keg to leak. Caused a huge mess and I had to get my co2 refilled because of it.

This product is advertised as having capacity for a single Sixth Barrel Keg or Cornelius Keg, but be advised that many craft breweries now regularly use disposable alternatives such as Rehrig's "PubKegs" for their Sixth Barrel Kegs as opposed to the traditional stainless steel solution. Whereas a stainless steel Sixth Barrel Keg is about 9¼'' in diameter, a PubKeg is about 11'' in diameter. I've purchased kegs from several different craft breweries in the NY/NJ area over the last two years and all Sixth Barrel Kegs have been PubKegs. Although you can fit a PubKeg into this kegerator, it's a very tight fit and the door will pop open unless you use the door lock (I've verified that the unit is leveled, so that's not the issue). Luckily the door gasket appears to be fully sealed, even though the top of the door protrudes out slightly.
I'm enjoying the kegerator so far, but I'm worried about the unit's longevity considering the door will only remain shut when the door lock is enabled, and it's unfortunate that EdgeStar does not communicate the exact dimensions of compatible Sixth Barrel Kegs more clearly. For craft beer enthusiasts looking to purchase this keg, I'd recommend another kegerator with greater depth to comfortably accommodate any Sixth Barrel Kegs.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, and we went through one 1/6 barrel and the safety valve on the regulator broke. We took it to a local company for assistance to see if they had a part that could fix it, and they told us that it was very cheap and basically garbage. They said it looked like a manufacturer defect. I purchased the Assurant 360 plan for the kegerator, and am going to see if I can send back perhaps only the regulator to get fixed.

I converted the connectors to ball-lock and use these with the picobrew 1.75 gal kegs, but any corny keg up to 5 gal should fit fine. It doesn't come with a shelf so I had a custom cut plexiglass sheet inserted and now can hold 2 1.75 gal kegs. 1 on tap and the other force carbing waiting to be tapped. The tap on the tower is ok, but I already have 2 intertaps that I will be swapping out eventually. The size is perfect. Slim and narrow which is what I needed. I only had 18" width to work with and this fit perfectly in the space I had. I'm very happy with the unit. It was packaged well, double boxed, and no damages. All I had to do was connect the tower, change the door direction, and install my ball-lock ends.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have two of these units. One was part of a Kegerator kit, and I purchased a second as standalone with shelves for my office at work. The unit is quiet, spacious, and nice looking. The blue light gets alot of positive comments. I have converted this unit to two taps. I run both CO2 and Nitro. I dispense kombucha, nitro coffee, hard cider, and beer. Torpedo kegs allow me to do this. I can fit 2 kegs, 2 bottles, and an extra 6-pack of bottles or cans. This unit really fits well in the corner of my kitchen. This is the smallest and most capable unit I have found.
My only issue is that the electronic display is faulty. The current temperature readout gets "stuck" on a temperature value, UNLESS you cycle the F/C button, then it will switches back to the proper temperature. This is the same on both of my units, as well as one unit that I have sent back to the manufacturer. So I can conclude that your unit will have this problem as well! I speculate that its a firmware programming bug. A minor issue, but still something that bothers me. People may complain that this unit never gets to set temp, but it just isn't displaying the correct value. Cycle the F/C button!

Packaging was very protective but not environmentally conscious at all, pounds of foam rubber that was not recyclable. ☹️. Setup was easy. Fridge and tap functions okay, but temp will not go below 39, even with ambient room temp below 65. My options were very limited by the space I had, and it is very compact unit as described so that's good. Overall impression ofpurchse and unit is 'meh'.

I see it's currently unavailable but I thought I'd rate it anyways. I love this thing. It has taken my home brews to a whole new level. It requires only a splice or two in order to switch the connections out with the type that comes with torpedo style kegs.

Seems to be a good buy but it arrived with some dents. Would rate higher but disappointed with the dents of course. Especially the placement where they are located. One is on the door and you have to be careful not to cut yourself with the sharp metal the dent created.
Updating review - the dents continue to be a pain. Also the CO2 gauge does not work properly. When decreasing it the gauge does not adjust. I've owned another kegerator for over 15 years and this one is not quality. Also I tried contacting the seller and heard nothing back. Usually on Amazon a seller stands behind their product. Very disappointed.

I bought this ahead of a Christmas party we were hosting at our home, mainly because I always wanted one and it seemed like a good excuse to buy one, but also who doesn't want to pour their own pint? It was a great conversation piece at the party and such a huge hit that at least two of my friends are getting their own as Christmas gifts from their wives. It took about 10 minutes to put this together. Word of advice, after connecting the keg and CO2, let it sit for a few hours. The first few pours will be foamy but it will subside as it beer settles and the CO2 regulates. I recommend buying a stainless drip tray and also, buying a branded tap handle is also a nice touch but the tray/tap they come with do the job.

I have now had this Kegerator for over 1 week. I have not had any issues. It is perfect for 1 keg 1/6 th size. Beer is cold and flowing well. Make sure that your PSI is around 8.

I purchased this unit over a week ago. I had a hard time finding someone to fill the 2.5 lb CO 2 tank. This is my first time buying a kegerator. Although I have encountered numerous problems Edgestar customer support has been great. But I'm still having trouble for some reason the thermostat is on 32 but the beer still is kinda warm. The same as when it was on 37 degrees.
