Actually a very wonderful combo convection microwave. Still working great after 8 yrs.
It does rust inside and this can cause arcing in C1 & C2 modes.
However, if you dry the inside of the moisture that collects, this can be averted.
It's like anything else. If you're too lazy to clean it, don't buy it - go eat out.
If it's now a piece of crap that was ok for 90 days but it magically hit a growth spurt?
Well, perhaps you need to be committed. I find NO backing in your review that warrants such a low review.
I'd give it a 10 after 8yrs. and will probably buy the same if I can't find anything better, if it wasn't for the rust/arcing issues.
$100 for 8 years is a really good deal, and it is still working as well as day-1.

This microwave was similar to my previous microwave. It is easy to operate. This microwave has a grilling option. You will need counter space. Nice size.

It's an okay microwave, especially for the price, but, the bottom of the food never gets crispy. It's always soft and in some cases, raw. I tried frozen pizza and the crust was soft. I tried frozen breakfast sausage and even with a turn in the middle of the cook, it was still soft and soggy. I'll have to purchase another piece of equipment in order to get a crispy crust from this microwave.

First of all there was a big dent in the right back top of the microwave after I opened it. The instructions for the grill is not the greatest and it seems to take forever to grill a hamburger. Maybe it's meant to work that way but thought it would be quicker. The microwave itself works great but wish I could have gotten to talk to someone about the defect.

Was a little hesitant to buy another "dual purpose" appliance. Especially this particular item. However, it's been a great addition to our house.
Note: it is NOT quiet. It's actually louder than my convection ovens and convection toaster. But, it works well, heats evenly, and the wattage definitely gets the job done. Economically, it's reasonably priced for its versatility, in my opinion.

I'll give it a 3 for now. We've only had it for a few days as of right now. It's very noisy, which was surprising to me. The grill feature is neat but we're reluctant to use it. Please be sure to read the instructions thoroughly before use. You can only use the grill rack when using the grill function. We have small children in the house, so we have completely put our rack away. Other than that it's probably going to be a great microwave.

I bought this emerson microwave and it is a really bad product. It is more noisy and bigger than in size than other 1.2 cu microwaves I have had. It's wasting space because the outer body takes up more space than microwaves with the same inside capacity. And then one day it just stopped working after 5 months of light use afterward from the purchase date. Walmart was no help at all saying it has passed the 90 days return day. They want me to contact Emerson. I emailed Emerson and no response. So do not waste your money and take the risk of buying this microwave. You will get stuck with a piece of junk and short of $100 bucks. I have to take it to recycle now. A big heavy piece of junk that I wasted $100.

I had to replace a Daewoo that I purchased from Walmart in 2007 for $100., with this one. The Daewoo was awesome and used almost everyday (miss it so much). I hope this one holds up, don't think it will because it is much lighter and smaller than the Daewoo. I searched for another Daewoo and could not find one that was big enough for my family. So far it is okay but, we miss the Daewoo it just stopped heating the outside and inside is almost like it was when first purchased in 2007.

Always like Emerson product but nevet disappointed how long the microwave last. Had about 4 to5 years. Never have seen a microwave do what this microwave has done. Was afraid to use it and eat anything from it. Yes it rusted!!!! See picture attach. It look great outside awful inside. Contact company and complain have not heard back yet.

This is the best Microwave I have ever owned and I have had at least 5 in the past 40 or so years.
It cooks everything evenly and it defrosts meat evenly and doesn't cook part of the meat like other microwaves I have owned with a defrost feature.
I just used the combo microwave/ grill feature and it cooks my piece of steak just beautifully. I really love this microwave. I would recommend it to anyone that is in the market for a new microwave. The grill browned my steak perfectly.

I have owned this particular Emerson 1100 watt microwave for well over 3 years and it is still like new. I use it every day several times a day. It is noticably more powerful than my 1000 watt countertop. I have not owned a more faithful microwave oven ... ever. I just looked at the current price and cannot believe you can buy this much with so little money. I thought that I'd paid more.
