I loved this item while it lasted. Unfortunately that was only about one month.

Just received this from site to store yesterday, opened shipping box, picked up box it came in and box fell apart! Puzzled, I took pot out of box and pulled the bagged insides out and the non-stick had one deep scratch on side and multiple scratches in the bottom side. don't know if the inner stuff did it or it had been used before, but I was ready to use it the next day. I am sorely disappointed.

We cold smoked cheese the first time we used the smoker. They do not tell you in the instructions not to put any cheese above the wood box. If you do it melts and burns all over the wood box. There is also a permanent steel rod that sticks out in the pot about 4". You cannot stir anything, you keep hitting the steel rod, very awkward.

Love the idea of being able to smoke food in the house. The pot is to small with the racks in place. Fine for very small amounts of food. The pot came on time and in good condition. There is a larger one, I think I may try it.

I, as other reviewers have stated, got the 7 Qt model for $150 at my local store. This is one of the best appliance purchases we have ever made. We love ours. One note, it only takes about 5 tiny pieces of wood to do the job, so don't over purchase on wood chips. they will last you 5 years if you do.

Somehow I got this smoker on clearance for $150 at my local store. I have the seven qt model and love it love it! Id say it would still be worth $250. Bought my dad one.
