I ran 7 pounds in large chunks of fully frozen pork and turkey through it trying to break it within the time to send it back. If it will fit in the hopper it will eat it like a boss. It’s going to be used for several hundred pounds of pork in about a week and I’ll update then. So far I’ve seen zero of the problems others have posted in the negative reviews. Only negative I have to say is that the feed tray could be allot bigger for the size of grinder and there isn’t a way to secure it. Small complaint for the what you get for the price.

I contacted AMAZON customer service when product arrived with out one of the rubber feet which allow the grinder to set level not wobble or skid and scratch your counter. they said I could return it for free or give my a % discount or a free return. as this unit is very heavy 40 lbs I took the discount, it does not come apart without a huge struggle and if you take it apart or with any kind of manual. when I took apart the "wrong" housing bolts it was wrong and all the gear and grease came out was an extreme chore lining every thing up to put it back together, I seen there were two plastic gears and was under the under the under standing I can not get the three bolt out of the auger housing for proper cleaning. I have to carry this heave beast to the sing and use a vegetable sprayer for a sub standard at best. I attempted to contact them directly, Via email and phone as the a 3rd part seller, by phone and by email,, left a message, never bothered contacting me back. works great if you don't wish to clean it regularly . YUK This will last several life times and it will never get much use. very dissapointed

This grinder looks and feels very capable and heavy duty. Received it in damaged packaging (it was only the box, nothing on the inside had been damaged). Read the minuscule owners manual. Cleaned all the parts it said to clean. Also inspected the inside of the head. Very poor condition on the inside of the head. A lot of “slag” (not sure what to call it) left in the head from casting. And where the standpipe/throat is pressed into the head, there was quite a bit of razor thin excess metal that could have easily been removed if the unit had been deburred after casting or assembly. Anyway, reminding myself that this grinder cost me half of what comparable, name brand grinders cost, I set it up to grind up some deer burger and make some summer sausage. I ground about 30 pounds of meat twice over the course of a day, never had the grinder running longer than 20-25 minutes at a time. One thing I noticed, it didn’t “pull” the meat into the grinder as other grinders I’ve used do, but, a little push with the stomper and it gobbled it up. Never had the first problem with any of the meat or fat I ran. Used the sausage stuffer attachments to load twist type freezer bags. The unit doesn’t come with a “stuffing” plate, so I had to use the coarse grinding plate, but it still worked. I noticed, as I was stuffing the bags, the body was getting very hot, so I stopped after only 18, 1lbs bags (12-15 minutes). I was going to let it cool down and finish the rest. I noticed oil on the counter under the drive side of the motor. Upon closer inspection, it was coming from where the head and body meet. I disassembled the head and the meat still in the grinder had oil mixed into it. Best I can tell (I never saw the oil leaking), the oil was leaking around the drive shaft seal as the grinder was running. I opened a few bags but couldn’t tell if the oil had contaminated the meat or not. So, I threw it all out, as I don’t want my family eating any kind of gear oil, let alone, some oil that I have no idea what it is. Anyway, wasted quite a bit of time, money, and food for my family. Contacted Amazon and they sent me a return label immediately. So, I am sending it back and am now happy to pay twice as much for a grinder. I figure it will be cheaper and a lot healthier in the long run.

Surpassed our expectations. It was easy to operate. Didn’t experience any difficulty when grinding the meat. We processed at least 50 pounds of meat and it never missed a beat.

Buyer beware is the best way to start this review on the Tangkula offering of this "Made in China" product. I can't mention a brand name as it does not have one. It does have a nice little plate that identifies itself as a Model EP21595 as well as 110 volts and "Made in China" Any further markings do not exist. We started this purchase in hopes to find a replacement for our aging meat grinder that gave us faithful service for so many years and many hundreds of pounds of sausage and hamburger meat. Being we are fortunate to harvest several hogs and deer every season that we process ourselves. Upon receiving the item we unpacked the grinder finding the motor to being heavy which was a good sign for an advertised "commercial" meat grinder. Then unpacking the tray that you fill with meat to feed the grinder was equivalent to a soda can being flimsy flexing and easily bent. So we decided it would not be suitable for large amounts of meat to be added to this tray but as long as it works it could be ignored. Next step was to disassemble the grinder spout from the machine to clean before it's first use as normal procedure for a food processing item. This is where you find to do so requires removal of 6 bolts that attach the grinding spout to the grinder. These have just enough clearance to use an open in wrench to slowly remove them as a socket can't be used. This is where you find the screws threads are not properly cut causing difficulty to remove due to binding from interference in the threads. I am fortunate as tools of my trade include a tap and die set which I used to clean up the threads on the bolts and holes they thread into enough to keep from binding. So we now realize that every time this grinder is used it will require these 6 bolts to come out for cleaning. We accepted that even though all other grinders we have ever used or looked at have an easy to remove threaded knob bolt to aid in quick disassembly. Obviously long term or frequent use was ever considered for this "commercial" appliance. Now it is time to grind some meat and it performed flawlessly and had good power to quickly go through about 40lbs of muscle tissues from a hog. My wife throws out all connective tissue and bone and all uses extremely clean and processed muscle tissue. This went smoothly other than having to slowly disassemble those 6 bolts again to properly clean and put away. We did find nice black marks everywhere the grinder sits though as the rubber for the feet are in constant deteriation. Those marks do clean up easily though but is something to be aware of. A few weeks go by and we now have a couple large hogs and deer to do so bring out the grinder hoping to make short work of the pile of nice clean meat we have to process. This is where the grinder quits working into the first pound. Seems the worm auger has a screw in tip that drives the cutting blade which decided it couldn't hold together to turn the blade to cut clean muscle tissue with absolutely minimal load. Okay time to contact the manufacturer to see if we can get a replacement part. Now it gets good because replies come in the middle of the night in broken English. Cutting through it all we find that replacement parts are not available for this machine. So we now have a very heavy boat anchor that was bought to grind meat. I have contacted various parts suppliers to find no joy in a replacement part since this is a meat grinder with no name other than China. I also contacted a machine shop to see if they could help and found another unfortunate should that made the mistake and bought one of these. He too has a new boat anchor instead of a useful tool. We went to Cabala's and bought a meat grinder that carries a lifetime warranty, has many more features as well as being well made. We also have parts and accessories available for the new grinder that has already processed several hundred pounds of meat and likely will for years to come. Also be aware that this grinder is sold on Ebay and many other outlets with the seller using other names. Beware of this grinder as it is just another Chinese copy of a real product. They all give a broken English response that parts aren't available seperate.

For the price this cannot be beat. I got this for making dog food and I am sure glad I returned the crappy $130 machine I had before. This thing is fast, powerful, well made and heavy duty. I agree with everyone else on the cleaning aspect, the six bolts holding on the attachment could be improved, I am going to look into getting thumb screws myself. This was shipped and sitting on my doorstep much faster then I originally thought.

This meat grinder works well ,had no problem grinding 2 pork butts for sausages, as fast as you could feed it, it would grind it. The only issue was you have to take out 3 bolts to take off the cutting head to clean, most units have 1 screw nob you unscrew to do this. This my be an issue for some, but for the price I think I can live with it.

See below for amended review! Are you kidding me!?!? This things takes whole chicken legs and thighs like they are nothing!! It does weigh 50 pounds so you won't be moving it around but it is worth it. Like other folks have said the design for taking apart and cleaning is HORRIBLE!!!! Very poor design, screws strip and screws are different sizes for some weird reason. I would have given 5 stars were it not for the screw situation. If you make raw dog food you will love it apart from the cleaning. Surely it would cost much to fix this design flaw guys! You'd have an awesome grinder were it not for that...FIX IT!! AMENDED Review! 66 days into using this grinder the worm gear broke in the exact same place the other reviewer had problems. The other reviewer is also correct in that you can not buy a replacement. In other words, when your grinder breaks, you can throw it away. DO NOT BUY THIS GRINDER!!!

Like one of the other reviews said, this thing is a pain to take apart and clean. Having to take off six bolts is a pain. Especially for the first time. My small socket set did not fit around the bolt because of the placement on the machine. There was one other problem I found after taking it apart to clean it for the first time. The machining inside the tube was rough and had metal peeling attached inside the tube. When I got it all cleaned up and ready to go, it cut through the rabbit meat with bones like butter. I hand tightened the bolts so they would come off easier after use. The bones were reduced to a fine grit after running it through twice. Once would have been enough but I wanted to see what the machine would do. When buying it I could not find too much information on the size, weight, etc. The machine with heavy duty packaging is marked on the box 48.5 lbs and it is every bit of that. The cutters are marked #22. Everything is nice and shiny what appears to be stainless steel. I hand washed and dried everything after use. I am very happy with my purchase. The vendor had a delivery date between April 19th and 24th. It was at my doorstep on the 19th. That night I was making dog food. Can't wait until hunting season.

Great quality for price but difficult to take apart to clean. I wish the output nozzle was held on by something easier to take off instead of having to get out the socket wrenches.

This is a great grinder at an uneatable price! It's truly 1 HP and pumps through meat at lightening speed. It's big, heavy and powerful. And that's exactly what a real meat grinder should be. I processed an elk this past fall and it handled it with ease. I grew up on a family farm with a three HP butchers meat grinder (a real cherry of a machine) and have processed hundreds of animals. This grinder is very much reminiscent of the one I grew up using. It's far superior to those grinders I've come across friends using over the years. Unless there is some fatal flaw with the motor, which I can't imagine there would be, I expect this grinder to last a lifetime. The only thing that could be improved is that the bolts that attach the auger tube to the body of the grinder don't thread great.I actually cross threaded one of the six bolts. The other problem is that they are difficult to take out due to them being bold. however they should be easily replaced with screws from a local hardware store. And even if I cross thread all of the screws (very unlikely) and had to take it to a machine shop to have it fixed it would still be a steal at the price on here. The bottom line is that a meat grinder comparable to this will cost you $400 to $1000 elsewhere.

The grinder is a great grinder works well. For the money it works like a 700 dollar grinder for half the price. The down side i ordered the 22# that weighed 50lb and i received the 12# weighing 39lb. As i said it works very well wish i knew how good the 22# would have worked.

At the time of writing this I've had this meat grinder for a little over a month and so far I like it a lot. I do have a couple minor issues but nothing major. The fit and finish on a few parts could be a little better. - The end of the auger tube isn't deburred so there are some sharp edges, as well as the threads on the screw cap. I've accidentally cut myself on both and will have to touch those up with a small file and some emery paper. - The top edge of the face plate with the power switch doesn't seal against the body of the grinder so water or bits of meat could easily get into the switch and electrical connections. I'll probably seal that with food-grade silicone caulking. - The power cord is a little small at 18 gauge so I'll probably eventually replace that with 16 or 14 gauge. Other than those minor things it's a great machine and chomps through meat amazingly quickly.

They sent me a size 12 grinder not a size 22 as advertised. I weighed the grinder and it only weighs 36lbs. not 48lbs as advertised. It does not have reverse feature as advertised. I'm sure that this is not a 1.5hp motor on the one I received, that may be why it is 12lbs. lighter than they advertised it to be. I think I would like to have one of these in size 22, if it were as described. I have asked that they send me a size 22 but have not heard back from them. UPDATE 11/28/2017 I have had the unit for 11 months and grind about 100lbs. of chicken leg quarters with bone every month. So far I have not had to change the blades or sharpen them. I have not ran into a chicken bone that can even be noticed by this machine. Also I did a whole deer last week and used the same original blade and disc and everything was ground perfect. No sinew was left over or wrapped up in the auger. I highly recommend this grinder for anyone looking for size 12. It is a serious grinder.

The grinder itself is solid. I used it to grind about 50 lbs of deer meat. The tray is kind of flimsy and when I purchased this grinder they advertised it as having a reverse feature (that it doesn't have) for clearing clogs. Meat also accumulates behind the auger which is somewhat hard to clean out due to the non removable housing. BTW they have removed the reversible feature from the listing.
