Small but ok! It takes a long time to cook more then 2 pieces of chicken thighs! Recommend only air fry small amounts of food like one potatoe for fries or it will take a lot of time! Only worth it if u have a small family of two!! Suggest going bigger and spend more to get a better product! Not bad and the color is beautiful!!!

This is a handy appliance to have for one or two people. I use mine mostly for potatoes. It's very simple to use and does a great job cooking without a lot of oil.

Love my air fryer. Introduced to this exact brand/model by a roommate. Then he moved so it was time to get my own. Used everyday, so great to cook just the right amount without heating up entire oven or house during summer weather. Doesn't take up much counter space either.

I wish I would have gotten the bigger size but for a 2 person household it does its job. I have only used it a couple times so far but it works very good. It has came in handy now that we are on quarantine to help with eating healthy.

Absolutely love this air fryer. This is my first one and it is wonderful. We use it almost everyday for preschooler foods and random fryer foods we like. I love that things aren't greasy. Great size for a family of 2 adults and 2 kiddos. So easy to use...

This is a Walmart product sold by a one-star vendor. Has a 2-year warranty, which is great because it suddenly stopped working after17 months of very light use. Would never consider this vendor again and wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

I just bought this today and checked the recipe book comes with it and most of the recipes ask for temp of 360 and the dial does not have that on it so do you guess at 360 since it has only 320 and 400 reply if you can suggest anything about it

Bought this machine on Saturday. I spent a lot of time researching recipes on the Internet, and how to use air fryers. This morning, I made the donuts out of canned biscuits which were brushed with melted butter. I had to adjust the temperature and time, but no problems once I did that. For the chocolate, I melted a cut of RediWhip and melted a cup of Nestles Semi-Sweet morsels. Drizzled it on the top. Best part, both my husband and I loved them as a snack/dessert. The only sugar was what was in the chocolate chips.

I bought this and use it very often. It took many attempts to figure out temperature and times, but once I got that down....food is delicious. With that being said......the basket rusted so now I have to put foil in it to keep the food from actually touching the basket. I've looked up to try and replace, but it doesnt look like farberware has replacements available. So its going in the garbage, and won't be purchasing another of this brand. Other than that, I absolutely love my AirFryer and thats why I gave 4 stars.

Air fryers are so critically acclaimed that I just knew they had to be too good to be true, but I'm a believer now. I picked this thing up to cook hot lunches during down time at the office for me and my coworkers and WOW. I'm blown away at how close the food tastes to being deep fried. We tried crinkle cut fries and popcorn shrimp. It took about 20 minutes combined

I have been using this product for 6 years now. I used it for 5 years living at home. After I moved out I purchased the exact same one and here I am. It's amazing for French fries, chicken nuggets, frozen burritos, and all other quick frozen foods. It is NOT good for real food. My diet mainly consisted of cheap frozen food so it WAS great. However now that I live alone I actually cook real food. Cooking 2-3 chicken breasts in this thing takes an hour, and that's at the max temp. Cooking real Chicken, Pork, Fish, it takes a looong time. I'm purchasing a much bigger and more powerful machine to take this one's place. Most likely the Ninja Air Fryer because it's much more powerful and only $100. I prep my meals weekly and it took 3 hours to cook everything in this fryer. I'm hoping to cut that time in half. I don't think this machine has enough power to do what it's advertised to do. I could see this as a great beginner air fryer because it's cheap, simple, and easy to clean. Just stick to the small frozen things like I mentioned in the beginning and you will be happy with it.

Very displeased. I bought this 3 days ago. Bought a few packages of chicken wings and frozen shoestring French fries. Says it cooks 4 lbs of wings. After 48 min. We quit. They weren't brown or crispy. It is non stop of shaking basket and constant change of temp.(5-8 minute shaking for 48 min.). French fries stayed white, soft and shrunk to half the size!! (18 min). Not only did I waste money, time, but the end results of the food was to disgusting to eat. I am out 25.00 for the food that I can't recoup, unless the company wants to send a check!! Glad I didn't have company invited for wings. It's to late, but we never found the grilling section. Would love a reply from company. Please pull them off the shelves!! I should get 5 stars for keeping my composure. YOU GET 0 STARS.

I've had two brand new examples of this product. The first didn't work right out of the box. While unpacking it, I found a little black plastic piece that was about one quarter of an incy by one half of an inch at the bottom of the box. I didn't thin much about this, but being an inveterate saver of everything, I kept the piece. When plugged in for the first time, it just didn't work. I called the 800 # in the packing and was told to return the item. At Walmart they wouldn't give me my money back, but insisted that I had to take store credit. Not happy with that but accepted the credit Then I bought a second one at Amazon. Used it once to cook some chicken (it worked well for this). After it was cleaned, I noticed a little black piece of plastic (which I saved) on the drying rack. When I tried to use it a second time, it had no power. Turns out that the little plastic piece pushes a little button in the unit to allow power. It's apparently a safety feature as the power wont turn on if the sliding drawer is not fully and securely in the main unit. Don't know how the piece(s) broke off but the unit will not work without it (them). There was a cumbersome process in returning the item, but I finally got my money back. In my opinion, the little plastic part is too fragile for even gentle normal use. If you want an air cookerk look for a different brand.

The fryer cooked fine when the timer was working. About half the time, the timer would stop and the cook time would be too long. The choice of a mechanical timer rather than a digital invites these sorts of problems and I returned the item and purchased an air fryer with a digital timer which works reliably.

This item is not NECESSARY to have a "fry style food" but healthy, the oven can do is as well!, However, the airfryer makes everything easier, I really love this one! Easy to use, ring when the time you set is over, you dont need to remain sitted next to it, you can go and do other things, its very easy to clean, the basket its big enought to make fries and chiken at the same time. I love making french fries with this machine, but as I said is very versatil, you can make everything with his! Even cupcakes! The smell many other reviews mention IS REAL! I still feel it when I use it. Hope it does not long much more, even so I give it 5 stars!

Great if you want non-stick coating stuck to your food. It is on the larger side, dial numbers wear off with use. Does make good wings, burgers, and bacon but the coating sticks to your food and wears off little by little. Manufacturer will not help. Unit is 4 months old.

If you are vegetarian, this unit is worth it for the Tofu alone! Crispy and healthy. Just be prepared to stock up on marinade ingredients and coating ingredients. I went into this thinking that all you needed to do was throw veggies in and voila! tasty treats - not so! It takes work, prep ingredients and time. Nevertheless, if you need a new prop to bring a little excitement into your kitchen, this is for you.

I got mine for Christmas....I wasn't sure why LOL I tried it a week later and now I wonder how I ever lived without it!! I thought they were just for French Fries and things like that, something I don't eat a lot of. I have made Chicken, fish, Turkey burgers, Steak, bacon wrapped pork chops (you know when you cook those, the bacon never gets done? It gets done in this fryer!!!) the little personal sized pizzas? they take about 10 minutes. I haven't found a thing that I have tried in this that I wouldn't make again. You have to watch at first until you figure out times and heat, but its pretty easy to figure out. I use this daily, and even bought one for my mom since she is the one that got me hooked! She had gotten away from cooking very much since my dad passed, now she is actually making meals and I think she likes experimenting! Highly recommend this!!

Just bought today at Walmart (much cheaper). Made chicken wings. Turned out very good. I have a good convection oven, but have never been able to get chicken wings to come out good. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the construction does not seem great--the drawer sticks when trying to get it in and out, so it seems like wear and tear could be an issue. I will revisit this review after using it for a while.

I did not purchase this from Amazon. Walmart pricing saved me about 20.00 now at Xmas. This is a sturdy machine that does what it is supposed to without digital input. You turn the dials. When the time comes i will replace the one I have had for 6 months that is still going strong, with the same machine, or newer model of the same. Amazon prime pricing is way out of line for this product. I have found several items that are over priced and available for significant savings if purchased elsewhere and yet cost enough to qualify for free shipping.

I bought this same air fryer at WalMart. Stay away from it, it's junk. The coating in the basket and on the bottom of the bucket is coming off. The lettering that shows the time and also the temperature area, all of that rubbed off, as did the pictures along the side that show how hot to cook various items. Would give it ZERO stars if I could.

Fryer lasted 2 months, then a large cloud of smoke came out of unit and would not heat up anymore. Supposedly it has a 2 year warranty but when you call the number in owners manual they tell you since it was not purchased from Wal-mart that they cannot help you. So I contacted seller Alphaben and they would not help, Amazon also would not help. Received another number to try and they keep trying to find more ways not to warranty product. For over a month, I have been trying to get this pile of junk fixed now. Definitely would not purchase again nor recommend this product.

Got this air fryer & it's wonderful. No greasy foods. I highly recommend it. We have cooked several kinds of goodies from chicken. I put it frozen & in 10 minutes I opened the basket & put my garlic salt on it with a pinch of pepper. YUMMY!!! So easy to clean & I place the 2 parts on top rack of dishwasher AFTER I wipe the grease that falls to bottom below the basket that the food sits in. I use the nylon scrubber in simk with very warm water & into dishwasher. At times I hand wash. Fries, YUMMY!!! Simply healthier eating. I would like to get the fryer cookbook to try some of their recipes.

I've been cooking 50 years! I cook 3 meals a day, all from scratch. This is the most amazing thing I have ever used. I have given 2 as gifts. French fries are crisp. I use it every day! I absolutely love it!

I purchased this air fryer less than a year ago (from Wal-Mart). The coating in the basket started to chip off. I assumed this is not a major problem since there is a 2 year warranty, WRONG! Called the customer service number and was told that the warranty on the basket is only 90 days, (really!!! that sounds ridiculous). So I offered to purchase just a new basket and was told they aren't available. I did not abuse the basket, just normal use. If you are considering purchasing this air fryer, I would do a little research. Different sellers might have different warranties.

To begin, I received mine as a gift, and it's roughly 20$ cheaper at Walmart...it was on sale on black friday 2016 for around 50 I believe? We haven't been insanely adventurous with ours, i.e. tried to bake in it, but we've made quite a few things. We've tried diced potatoes, chicken nuggets, chicken fries, pork chops, steak, toast, pierogies, reheated chinese...i'm sure there's more, but i'm drawing a blank. The point is, I can count on one hand how many times I've turned our oven on since I got this for Christmas. It comes with a book to tell you how to cook things temp wise and how long, truth be told we put everything but meat in at 400 and crank it til it's our level of crisp and call it done. Seems to help a lot to shake the basket around about half way through. Certain foods require you to spray the food / basket with some oil to avoid sticking also.

Bought from a popular brick and mortar store because I was 50/50 that I would return it. But I was impressed and will be using it regularly. I bought this to replace the oily mess associated with my deep frier. As far as deep friers go, my fryer was an excellent appliance but still messy and impossible to clean. How and how often to change and dispose of old oil etc. The food comes out differently in these cookers than other forms of cooking. Some I like better some a little less so. It's a little subjective. Frozen chicken wings are crispy I like them. Frys and chicken strips a little dry but ok. The big advantage I see is this is the cleanest cooking appliance I have ever owned. No splatter, drips, or sticky residue. Just wipe out the crumbs and done. 1 star for value $80 at the store that shall remain nameless. 1 star for simple to use. Set timer and temperature. You don't even need to set a clock. 1 star for grease free eating. If you have a reason to live, this could help. 1 star for cleanliness. If you're lazy, send someone out to buy this for you now! No 5th star because its not quite as flavorful as old fashioned deep frying. I'll let a 5th star be your call.

It works as intended, but the parts failed after about 6 months on my HF-919B. The tray no longer latches properly, so when taking the entire tray out of the air fryer, the bottom part will sometimes fall off while leaving nothing but the basket in my hands. It isn't a weight issue; the load is entirely on the basket and the tray is used to collect excess oil. Not sure what lead to this problem. I don't jam or force the tray in, and I'm not forceful with the button. The locking failure is reflected in the button, since it looks like it's slightly pressed down. I can make the basket stay locked a bit better by jiggling the button, but the button shouldn't really be loose in the first place.

I have had this item for two weeks and have used it every single day. It is so easy to use and clean-up is a breeze. At first, you are experimenting with temperatures and cooking times. I have learned to pre-heat it for a few minutes and then put my items in the basket and flip them half-way through cooking time to get even browning. It does a SUPERB job on frozen foods like fries, tater tots, brown n serve sausages, pizza rolls, rancini bites, etc. I had a party this past weekend and made all my hot hors d'ouevres in it. It browns them faster than you can pre-heat your oven! The non-stick coating is great -- wipes clean and washes up nicely. I have not made any raw meat yet except hamburgers, which turned out great. I also made bacon-wrapped scallops and they were "to die for". When I used to make them in the oven, they always shriveled and were dry. I won't be using my oven for these anymore. I got this unit solely to cut down on oil and fat. I tried making my own french fries -- cut up the fries, soaked them in cold water, patted them dry and sprayed them with cooking spray but I was not happy with them -- they were soggy and getting burned. Frozen french fries are the way to go. I battered fish and chicken and then sprayed them with cooking oil and they turned out nice and crisp, but still not like deep-fried, but that's OK for me, because this lets me enjoy the taste of crispy foods without the fat. Other units are rated higher, but this unit is fabulous for the price!

Love this!!! I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this one. I actually picked mine up at wal-mart but I still wanted to leave a review. This is a great product if you don't want oil . I had my gallbladder out and now have problems with grease. The french fries I did tonight were great. I also did chicken strips and tater tots. All absolutely great the tater tots were the best I think I've ever had because they were not weighted down with grease. Great product!!

Bought this at Wal-Mart for a much better price. Have been using it almost everyday for about a month now. Works great. As some of the other reviews pointed out, it's almost like a customized version of a convection oven which works better for some needs. It's quicker, easily handled for tossing/flipping, and is less messy. If you coat the food with little oil initially and/or intermittently, you can get pretty close to fried taste.

Got mine at walmart for 79, sorry amazon! This thing is awesome. I have made french fries, motz stix, mini corn dogs, breaded chedder cheese curds, and chicken strips so far. Everything turned out awesome, especially the cheese curds. Taste is somewhere between deep fried and baked in the oven. Very easy to use and clean. Would recommend to anyone.

I've had mine for less than a week and I'm in love with it! I made crispy on the outside with no extra anything and somewhat juicy on the inside chicken breasts from frozen. The sweet potato fries comes out the same way. Clean crisp on the outside a bit tender on the inside. I've also made a from frozen hamburger in here and it came out nice and non messy. I plan on cooking my stuffed turkey breast in here on Thanksgiving. This item will probably replace my stovetop grill and most of the oven's work.

Got mine at Walmart, $79.99 since it's cheaper and if needed would be easier to return, what's up Amazon with your ridiculously High Price, , if I had not liked it, but we love it and my WIfe is a Picky eater and Cook, the 1st day I placed a piece of unbreaded Frozen Fish straight outta the freezer, cooked perfect, tasted great, then 3 hot dogs, same results, looked and tasted great, 1 Turkey & Boxed hamburger, both were perfect, then made 2 1/2 lb. hamburgers, and 2 smaller ones, and in 25 mins, cooked great, tasted the best of anything we had tried so far, all of these items, looked great, made you want to eat them, looked Fried and well cooked, the fish was Flakly and tasty, no mess, no fuss, puttem in, went back to flip in about 10-12 mins at 370 then a nother 10 or so mins. the Beef Burgers cooked at 400* seemed to taste better at the higher temp, so it's 400* from now on, also cut up and cooked 2 Potoatoes cut into thin fries, tasted just fine, I love my Fries and very picky, I can eat these, not quite 100% as great as my French Fryer, but 20x less the mess and hardly no oil at all, my wife like the fries and she is a picky frie eater also, the fries were probably least best cooked item of all the above, but still good enough that I will keep making my fries with it, plus all the fat & Grease goes straight through the strainer and to the bottom of the fryer to be washed out afterwards, so turns previous unhealthy Greasy foods into Healthy Foods, very impressed, so far, next is Wings, Fried Chicken, Steak, Ribs and Muffins, then I will decide if I keep it, but right now, it's looking like a huge Winner. Update after Having it a few months now, It's still awesome and we use it nearly everyday, it's great at re-heating Fast foods and home cooked foods, I made a mini homemade pizza, came out great, Love the Burger, Wings, Hot dogs, and Frozen fries are my favorite items otu of it, but it does everything, i normally don't write such highly regarded reviews, but this thing is just Fantastic, anyone that gives this less than 4* either doesnt know anything about cooking or how it's used or what to cook in it, Youtube is loaded with Recipes, don't waste a Penny on the books for sale with recipes for it, also people are saying the info that's enscribed on the side and the dial eventually rub off, I know mine so well now, I no longer even have to look, I know the feel of the tiny notches on the Temp and timer dial, I just feel and turn it on, so for me, even if it does rub off, it's not an issue, I really do use it nearly everyday, sometimes every meal and to reheat foods, so some days, we use it several times a day.

You might want to check your local grocery store. I got mine from Walmart for $79. I wish I had bought this a long time ago! This is very convenient since I don't have to heat up a giant oven just to cook 2 pieces of chicken breast. This air fryer doesn't take a lot of space and it fits perfectly on my counter top. It is sturdy and stays in place so you don't have to worry about it getting knocked-off. And the best thing I like about it is that it only needs a few minutes to preheat. I've tried it with fish, chicken and potatoes. Everything came out crispy and delicious. You just have to play with the time and temperature. I love fried foods but I try to steer clear as much as I can but with this fryer, I can eat everything! This is a good way to start eating healthy. Its size is perfect for home use. Not too small and not too large. I just wish that it came with 2 layers so I can cook two at the same time. But considering how affordable it is, I couldn't complain much. I can't tell you how much I love this fryer! Fried foods minus all the grease? Yes, please. :)

As others have said, it is cheaper at Walmart. As others have said, I wish the basket was a bit bigger. Cooking in batches is kind of a drag. I warm the oven to 200 degrees to keep the food warm until I've finished cooking all the sets. I also wish there was a way to stop the timer if you discover your food is done before you thought it would be. The machine stays on until the timer runs out. So far we've done fries, tater tots, potato skins, fish, buffalo/hot wings, brats and toasted buns for burgers. As long as you lightly oil everything (fine mist of oil), it usually turns out pretty good. Mostly I'm loving "The Egg"...Mostly. Tater tots do NOT turn out crispy enough, so I will have to keep the deep fryer. Brats are better on the grill. The wings were cooked in an oven bag, I just put them in there to crisp them up. Tonight I'm trying fried chicken. Tomorrow grilled cheese roll ups. I did not "oil" the brats.  For the chicken and the buns, I sprayed a fine mist of oil in the basket, not on the food. Clean up is a BREEZE. No splatter or smell or messy clean up like the deep fryer.

Basic but works great. Frozen fries work best, but, fresh potatoes soaked in wate were next best. Downsides are minimal: if you stop cooking early the simple timer will keep running until the end, slightly annoying. Best positive is the basket and drawer work very well and are super easy to clean.

Like many, I've been intrigued by these new, chubby countertop devices called "air fryers". I wondered if they really did what the salesmen claimed or if they were just part of a(nother) great hustle. Although they're called "fryers", they essentially are miniature convection ovens. Why would I sacrifice my money and counter space if I can achieve the same results with my oven? But my curiosity and my love for new toys got the best of me. So, after much research and deliberation, I yelled, "Dammit, I'm getting one!" and decided on this fat little friend from Farberware. First, I made a batch of frozen French fries. They came out okay, with results I normally get with my oven, but in much less time. No waiting for the oven to preheat, no wasted aluminum foil, no ripping holes in the foil with a spatula during the clumsy halfway flip. I followed the instruction book and put the machine on 400 degrees, then "air fried" them for 8 minutes, took out the drawer, shook the basket, put the drawer of fries back in, reset the timer for 8 minutes more, and the fries were done. Golden brown, crispy on the outside (for the most part), and burn-your-tongue-till-you-holler hot. Why I decided on the Farberware: I was able to buy it locally at my fiendly neighborhood Walmart (sorry, Amazon) for $79. This means if I don't like it or if something is wrong with it, it's easily returned. It's made by Farberware, which has been a very reputable company that specializes in cooking items for a very long time. (I'm in no way affiliated with Farberware, nor did I receive a discount or any form of payment for my review.) Best price. Period. 1400 watts of air frying power. Not bad. Good size at 3.2 quarts (as stated in the manual -- see photo). Easy to use, reliable dials for temperature and timer. I know, the digital ones look fancier and are more fun to play with, but the dials apparently keep the cost down, and let's face it, dials or digital, they both do the same thing. And when it comes down to it, it's all about the FOOD, not how pretty the buttons are. TWO YEAR warranty. Yup. TWO YEAR Walmart Product Care Plan for an additional $7. This little guy as much as sneezes and Walmart fixes him, replaces him, or reimburses me. With no shipping cost out of my pocket. Sorry, but that's a no brainer. (I am in no way affiliated with Walmart. Like many others, I am money-conscious and I just go for the best deal I can find. That's just me.) I looked at one other brand here on Amazon that I came "this close" to purchasing, but no extended warranty was offered, and I was reading reviews on it and on other appliances by the same manufacturer by folks that said the manufacturer was not responding to them when they reported problems. Yikes. I also considered a popular As-Seen-On-TV (coff blonde coff surfer dude coff) model until I read the fine print of a meager 60 day warranty. And if the machine did fail within those 60 short days, the company expects you to pack it up and ship it back to them on your dime and your time AND include a check for $19.99 to pay them for shipping it back to you once one of their chimpanzees has hammered on it. Hmm, I think I'll pass, thanks. Okay, so far I've told you that this Farberware Air Fryer is the best deal for an air fryer and that it makes so-so French fries. Not much, I know. But I promise, I will update this review as I cook more with it. UPDATE: I made a few frozen French toast sticks, 8 minutes total. They came out perfect. I stuck two in some vanilla frozen yogurt and added a couple teaspoons of pancake syrup and a shot of whipped cream. Family treated it like I presented them with bowlfuls of gold. Cool. I bought a bag of organic crinkle cut carrot slices from the produce department thinking they'd be good roasted -- ehm, err, air fried -- carrot chips. They however tasted like orange construction paper (oh, don't make that puzzled face, you know you ate it when you were little, too). I think, though, that this was the carrots and no fault of the air fryer (or the chef, of course). They looked kinda iffy when I took them out of the fridge and opened the bag. So, okay, fail on me, I'll take the blame, but I definitely wouldn't fault the Farberware. Although not something you'd fry but would rather bake, I made a stromboli and it turned out great. And no preheating the big oven, no cooking spray, no aluminum foil, no heating up the house. Done in 10 or 15 minutes. UPDATE #2: I made kielbasa, baby gold potatoes, and some chicken drumsticks. I cut the kielbasa into 3-inch links and then butterflied each link with a lengthwise slice so to lay flat on a burger bun. Took around 10-12 minutes to brown them perfectly. The potatoes I did in three episodes: first and second at 8 minutes, and the third at 5 minutes. They came out very nice. Can't-stop-eating-them nice. The drumsticks I did for 22 minutes -- and all of those in the photo did fit in the air fryer basket -- and they were right to doneness temperature. I would have preferred the skin to be a bit browner and crispier, however. So far, so good. Do I like it? Yeah, it's pretty neat. Does it fry food or does the food taste like it's been fried? No, it tastes like it's been baked. So, I guess as long as you know this going into it, you won't be disappointed. Do I think it's a novelty item that I'll eventually get tired of using and seeing on my countertop, taking up space? Well, I can predict a "probably" here, but maybe that's my fickleness and not the fault of the Farberware. Stay tuned... UPDATE #3: Made some frozen sweet potato fries last night. I filled the basket about halfway, set the timer for 15 minutes, gave them a shake halfway through, and they were nowhere near finished at the enw. I set it three more times at 5 minutes, and at last the edges were getting very dark, but the fries still weren't at all crispy. So that was 30 minutes total time, at the highest temperature of 400 degrees F. Maybe next time I'll try 30 minutes with a shake at the halfway mark. I suppose I shouldn't consider this a failure, but rather just part of the learning process. I'll update when I make them again. I also make some frozen breaded cod, and it came out absolutely perfect. I had to play with the time with the fish as well, and I think the final tally was around 25 minutes. Loved it.

A very good unit, but they need a cook book that states pieces, or pounds such as 2 chicken breasts or 4 so when we shop we don't have to carry a conversion chart with us to the store. half a basket or half a bag french fries etc. Most of us don't have time to fool around trying to figure out or ruin food with this cook book recipes. Plus recipes are very few in this cook book.

This item I do like. I like fried food and rarely had it because of the fat. I am still looking for a cookbook though.

I don't understand any of the negative reviews, this ISN'T a deep fryer or a convection oven - it is a oil-free air fryer. I absolutely love this thing! I air-fry veggies, tofu, sweet potatoes are the best! I don't eat meat so I haven't tried that but tilapia is unbelievable. Also, I bought mine at Wal-mart for $79.

I bought mine from the local Wally World. My attitude was it is gone if it does not do what I want simply. Well, first batch of fries...crispy. Did the second and then third so on....finally husband I decided it was a keeper. We like fires, but do not like all of the oil and salt. I have no idea how many orders of fries we have bought over the years at $2+. So forty orders, pay for this real fast. I buy the 3/8 size from Sam's and put about two inch pile in basket. I set the timer to max. After about 10-15 minutes, I unplug then take out the basket and shake it around good and put back in and cook some more until brown enough for me. I plug and unplug to turn off rather than wear out the cheap Chinese parts in it. I can replace a wall plug cheaper than this thing. Another batch is ready! Dogs want some also.

Bought it at Wally World for $79 like many others, returned it in 1 week. It's a convection oven, nothing more. Followed the instructions to a tee to make real french fries, soaked the normal size cut fries in cold water for over a half hour, then dried them on a rack for an hour, sprayed with olive oil and tossed with seasonings. Air Fryed at 360 for the required time tossing once as recommended... not cooked, went the full time again and tossing twice again. Final product wasn't anything close to french fries from a deep frier. I didn't overload it, only 2 medium potatoes. I checked the temp with a candy thermo, 400 setting showed at 410 actual. I cooked some other meals with mixed results. PROS: It comes up to advertised temp. Easy to clean the baskets. It's a cute Big Black Egg. CONS: It doesn't fry. Food isn't fried tasty. The bell won't ring unless you preload the timer. It's HUGE, takes up a lot.of countertop real estate. I bought a Presto Kitchen Kettle in it's place for $25 instead because it only takes 4-6 cups of oil and is immersible. My advice is to buy the Big Black Egg locally if you're still so inclined so it's easy to return. :-)

I love this airfryer. Just got it today and made curly fries and they were crispy and I only cooked them for 10 mins. The book says 20 mins total. Next I made hamburgersome with cheese came out perfectly. I have read a lot of reviews before getting this airfryer. I have spent over 6 months trying to find the perfect airfryer and this one does it all perfectly and had the best reviews. 86 percent gave it 5 stars and thats better then the Philips brand airfryer which price is much more and has less people who gave it 5 stars. A small 67 percent.

I absolutely love the Farberware air fryer. It is so easy to use and saves on having to heat up an oven or clean the stove top from oil spatter. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. I would recommend this to everyone who wants to make healthy meals that taste like they're fried, but don't have the excess calories. The only thing that would make it better would be a cookbook that contains more recipes.

I love how it cooks foods, my favorite is chicken wings. The only problem I have is all the info on it wiped off with a gentle cleaning. I no longer can see the temperature or timer and there were recommended time and temperatures for different foods on the side that are now gone also.

What fun! Just purchased and hubby and I splurged (for science sake ... we had to try a multitude of things after all to make sure this puppy worked). Pizza rolls - fantastic. Just like fried. 400 at 9" was too long and some popped (still delicious). Will play with time/temp. Frozen chicken wings 350 for 16 minutes - again, very good. Not exactly like fried, but pretty darned close (and they don't recommend cooking frozen meat either). French fries - perfect. Crunchy on the outside - fluffy on the inside. Next we tried steak strips (I know ... right!?!). Sirloin steak cooked at 360 for a little under 7" - SO GOOD!!!! - medium to medium rare, with this beautiful looking crust (that was perfectly tender and not at all chewy). I'm thrilled to death! Can't wait to try raised donuts, breaded zucchini, etc. The *only* problem I see is with the recipe book that came with unit - it's ludicrous and makes absolutely no sense. For instance, to make chicken nuggets it says "Place in a bowl and add cooking oil. Blend filet of chicken and mix with egg yolk, garlic, salt, paprika and pepper". WHAT? Place what in a bowl? The chicken or what? And then blend filet of chicken? What in the world are then talking about? Then you "Mix with sliced bread and roll into balls" All I can think of is that they want you to process (chop? puree'? dice?) the chicken with spices and then form them into nuggets. I usually simply cut mine into chunks, bread and bake/fry. In any event, with the exception of I love this little thing. Oh - final note - I saw here that Amazon has the price listed at over $150 ... as others, I purchased mine at Walmart for $79.00 but I understand they won't be restocking them so I'd suggest getting it now.

It has worked great. I did French fries in this and also in my convection toaster oven to compare. The outside was more crisp in this and the middle tender. I have done BBQ tofu in it, what would normally take 30 min of baking in a whole oven. Did it in 12 minutes. I made my husband meatballs and done in 12 min at 350. Iut pictures of both I made, clean up is super easy, no sticking and no burning sauce.

Way cheaper at Wal-mart! I snagged this today in Texas for $60.00! I guess they had it on clearance and I got the last item. It lists for $79.00 online but somehow I managed to get a $60.00 out the door. Tried some chicken drumsticks in this and I am blown away! The chick is so juicy and crisp. I sprayed a tiny bit of oil onto each leg before air frying, set the temperature around 350*F and for about 20mins. All four drumsticks came out perfect. Going to try other foods with this toy and see how it turns out. Overall happy with the product. Would consider modification like a rear air vent grease filter insert or the like as is it venting hot greasy air directly into the room that houses the appliance.

We bought ours at Walmart for $79. We were very surprised, as we thought air fryers were just a new hype, but WOW. Of course the first thing we did was frozen french fries, then frozen fried calamari rings, then steaks, and onion rings (frozen). All were perfection! We also tried chicken (with skin) but NO batter (I can't see using this for home made items with batter on them - messy!) Then the ultimate test for us, fried wontons. My wife makes home made wontons and we usually use them for soup. We love fried wontons, but UGH .. what a mess - all that oil !!! So we sprayed some olive oil spray on them and gave it a try. WOW ... came out just great. My wife was thrilled as there was no coating of oil all over the stove and kitchen from frying in a pan. We are 100% loving air frying and are definite converts. This unit is a simple basic unit that works just fine. Clean up is simple and easy.

I must say I am sold on the air fryer technology! I researched this product and it is more than what I expected! It is phenomenal! Purchased today and prepared chicken wings and fries. So crispy and delicious. I am going to keep frying and experimenting for days to come. I will tell anyone who loves kitchen gadgets to add this one to your collection. I have!

Hate to admit but found this basic same model at Walmart on clearance for $60. This was in response to buying a top model GoWise and it broke 10 minutes into its first mission. It had digital controls. These devices are really simple. A heating element and a fan. There's no reason to complicate them and make less reliable by adding a computer chip and led display. This thing rocks . Once you get your head around how it works and the basic concept this is a beautiful machine
