Install was easy, had a GE OTR Microwave previously and the same mounting hardware did the job. The stainless steel trim is very nice looking and all seems to be in good working order. Hopefully it lasts as long as it's predecessor.

The unit fits in the space which is an important aspect. The lighting in the unit is insufficient as it does not light the sides of the range top and is centered at the back center making the backsplash on the range interfere with the light. The cord required an additional hole drilled in the upper cabinet. The platter is small but does rotate.

Just installed new GE microwave looks great in newly painted kitchen! Pros: bright clock light, quiet while operating, easy-to-use touch pad; Cons: over stove light shines on back of stove, no rack in this microwave. Good appliance, would recommend.

We just moved in last year. So husband and I decided to update on all appliances . New range top microwave and new gas top . Love how our kitchen came out.

This new one is a replacement for an other GE that died after only 3 years. It is similar and easy to use. I wish the panel had a light so I could see the buttons in the dark or dim lights. And I hope it lasts longer than my last GE model! I don't like the BRIGHT light on the clock and have turned it off

I have all GE appliances and they were all installed new in our home. The microwave looks nice and functions well… But the first one gave out after nine months and the second one gave out after 18 months. The GE customer service was really great (I was pleasantly surprised, actually), but such a waste of money, time, and resources for it to go bad like that. Our old one was still running strong after 12 years. In our next home, I will be installing a vent hood and getting a cheap microwave to put in a cabinet. Not the vent / microwave combination.

This microwave is great. It is packed with features, looks great, and was easy to install. I did not have a microwave above my stove and was concerned about the installation, but the instructions were fabulous. Very easy to follow and in no time I had it installed.

Chose this model because of previous reviews, style, color. Couldn't find one big enough to fit in the space we had (apparently they don't make them this big anymore) but it works. Took some doing to get it installed, but with the help of a friend we did it. Works fine; has some features like popcorn that we never had before. Not too noisy.

We bought this microwave over 5 years ago when we upgraded all of our appliances however we never put it in because we wanted to renovate our kitchen. Well here we are 5 years later and we still haven't renovated but our old microwave died. So we decided to switch it out and I am glad we did it has many great features and it it much larger in size to our previous one. I love that it has an auto night light and that you have the option to change how it filters out air. It also is really nice to have the rack to cook many things at once. There are a few things that I personally would change though. One of the things being the buttons. The size of the buttons compared to the amount of room for those buttons is ridiculous. They could have made them slightly bigger so it is easier in dimmer light to differentiate between them. Whole we are on buttons how come no one has made back lit microwave buttons? I can't be the only one grabbing a snack in the dark. Another thing I would adjust is the height the turn table is to bottom of the microwave. If a crumb gets under the table it doesn't like to move and it makes a terrible sounds. All in all we love our new (5 year old) microwave.

This microwave would get a 5 star review except that the numbers and other features on the control pad are very difficult to read. I understand that being dark makes the unit look more uniform and appealing, but it also makes it much harder to operate.
