I love the way the turntable works with the mount inside and not in a rolling ring. That is why I'm on my second microwave Like this

The power button on ours didn't work and the cord is very short. Why the cord couldn't be 6-12 inches longer is a mystery to me. Also, it's at the very top right corner where a bottom location would be better. I'm sure they've lost a few sales because of it. We're returning ours because of both reasons.

Bought this GE microwave online to replace what I thought was an older version of the same microwave. This new version does not have a way to change the beeper volume. Whenever it is used and the microwave has finished cooking, a loud beeper goes off and continues to beep until the microwave door is opened. Our older GE 1.4 cu ft Counter-top Microwave Oven had a feature that allowed the beeper volume to be set at different levels including no sound (mute). Although it is working with no problems so far, we would not have purchased had I realized that there is no beeper volume adjustment feature on this new version.

I purchased this in white to replace a very similar Sharp microwave that is almost 20 years old. Since it sits on a counter top with the back of it against the wall, I wanted the push to open as apposed to a pull handle which would cause it to slide forward. The preset cook features work well. The popcorn comes out perfect. The main reason I selected the GE over other brands is that the oven light comes on when you cook AND when you open the door. This is not true of most other brands claiming it is an energy saving feature. I sure hope manufacturers don't try this with clothes dryers, refrigerators, wall ovens, etc. I can't believe having the light come on when you open the door uses that much electricity. If it does or if it is a new government regulation, Microwave Ovens could use LED lights or have an ON/OFF light button similar to most wall ovens which give you the option.

This is a replacement for the previous one (same model) which started behaving oddly and causing arcs and making a lot of noise. We decided it might be dangerous, so we replaced it, even though it was only 3 years old. The control buttons are in a slightly different place, but otherwise, it's the same, which meant we knew how to use it without having to read the manual. This new model has an interior light which stays on during operation. This allows you to more easily see what's happening to your food so you are less likely to overcook it. It's a nice addition. Otherwise, it's a conventional turntable style microwave which cooks evenly and quickly. The interior has few places where splattered food can get caught so it is easy to wipe clean. The power cord is only 3 or 4 ft. long so it needs to be fairly near an outlet.

We purchased this microwave to replace our former GE microwave of the same size that broke down on us after 15 years or so. I was pleased with the former microwave and this was the closest thing to it that I could find. I also wanted something very affordable. This microwave isn't as attractive as its predecessor but it works well and is user friendly. I do think the fan underneath is a bit much. It's not an issue truly but it is a tad annoying to place some paper napkins down near the unit only to have them blown off the counter. That didn't happen with my past GE. That is not something that affects how I would rate this unit, however. It gets 4 stars only because it is not as attractive as my former GE and not as attractive as some other microwaves I have seen. Nevertheless we needed white to coordinate with our other appliances, we wanted a low price, and we wanted at least 1.4 cu feet, and this fit our needs perfectly.

I recently purchased this microwave to replace a Panasonic model that gave up after only two years of service. We are really enjoying this product. I like the features that it has, especially the timer feature, and it is spacious inside. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice microwave at an affordable price.

Did a lot of research before purchasing. I was limited on space and this is a great balance of outer dimensions and interior cubic feet. Quiet, efficient, and well laid out control panel. However, there's one quirky function that's incredibly annoying. When you place food inside, you have 5 minutes to operate. If you don't, you have to re-open & close the door. I've learned to adjust. Say you're re-heating leftovers. You do an initial 1 minute heat, open, stir, close door, & move on to something else. By the time you come back to it, you need to open & close the door. I don't understand but will deal with it.
