Gone are the days of complicated positioning and twisting the bowl and lid into place. With the Hamilton Beach Stack & Snap Food Processor, the bowl is specially designed to fit directly on the base (with no twisting required) and the lid snaps securely to the bowl with simple locking clips for safe operation. No more guessing whether it’s put together correctly, just “stack” and “snap” the parts into place! Mix up a quick pancake batter. Chop onions without the tears. Puree a bowl of nutritious soup. Slice cucumbers evenly for a perfect salad. Chill, then shred or grate your favorite cheese for a variety of dishes. Are you still pre-cutting all your ingredients? If you're doing that, why bother with a food processor at all? The Hamilton Beach Stack & Snap 10 Cup Food Processor accommodates both large and small ingredients, so you can spend less time pre-cutting your ingredients and more time enjoying them. Many food processors come with a maximum liquid fill line, so if you are preparing soup you need to process multiple batches. The sealed bowl holds up to 10 cups of liquid, which reduces the need for multiple batches when processing soups or other liquids. A simple snap secures the lid on to the bowl, with no twisting and locking needed. This powerful food processor comes with a 10 cup bowl, which is the ideal size for most of your home cooking needs. It also includes a reversible slice/shred disc and S-blade for chopping, mixing and pureeing. Cord storage in the back keeps things tidy when not in use. Disc attachments are reversible and labeled, which takes the guesswork out of processing. The label should face up for the desired function. When using disc attachment, do not process foods past the MAX LEVEL indicator on the bowl. Between the S-blade and the reversible slicing/shredding disc, you have many choices available. Use the S-blade for chopping nuts, meat, garlic, onions, peppers, celery, herbs, bread (for crumbs), and crackers. Also, use it to mince/puree vegetables and fruits, mix salad dressings, puree soups or sauces, and to grate cheese. Use the slicing disc (slicing side facing UP) to slice cucumbers, apples, mushrooms, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, tomatoes, pepperoni, peppers, radishes, firm cheeses. Use the shredding disc (shredding side facing UP) to shred cabbage, potatoes, carrots, and cheese.

I really like my new Hamilton Beach® Stack & Snap™ 10 Cup Food Processor. I like the secure fastening of the lid latches that hold the lid in place. I also think the non-removable motor shaft built into the bowl is a great design that guarantees a user will not put something together incorrectly and damage the shaft. The control panel is great for switching between modes based on the type of food you are processing at the moment. The simple function guide is great as it shows you which blade to use and which button to press. The simplicity of the design is wonderful and makes the food processor easier and safer to use. The 450 watt motor is very powerful so used properly this food process will last for years and be a great kitchen aid. The large 10 cup bowl size is also nice when making soups and sauces. The large food chute or Big Mouth® feed tube that saves you time by reducing the need for pre-cutting into small pieces. I like the efficiency of the in-bowl blade storage and cord storage as both allow the processor to look nice on a counter without cluttering the look. With dishwasher-safe parts, the food processor is easy to clean as you can rinse it and put it in the top of the dishwasher for cleaning. I recommend this food processor! Out off everything I have in the kitchen this food processor is the best! It has awesome features, great size, easy to clean and easy to use. I love that it does not move place because it has small suction cups on the base and you can easily store the power cable away. It shreds cheese with out any problems, it chops, slice and purees everything. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is the first food processor I've had and I really love it. I use it mainly for chopping, slicing and shredding foods for cooking preparation and salads. It is super fast and efficient. Slices a potato in about 1 second. Changing up the blades for different chopping options is easy and fast. Clean up isn't horribly time consuming as everything can either go in the dishwasher or just run under hot water quickly depending on the size of mess. If I had to critique anything it would be the cord. I was under the impression there was a 'cord keeper' space under the unit, which there is but attempting to get the cord into that tiny hole, manually, was a nightmare. I'd like if it had one of those auto wind up features, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Also, the directions suggest not using it for ice, which I thought odd. Overall I really like this processor.

While this basically got the job done of shredding carrots the first time I used it, a design flaw mentioned in one or more earlier reviews became apparent. There is a gap between the bottom of the feeding chute and the circular blade. This traps unprocessed food in large lumps. I ended up discarding quite a bit as they were too small to shred through the blade.

The Hamilton Beach 10-Cup Stack and Snap Food Processor does process food. It Chops, Shreds and Slices. This is one instance however where I wish I'd spent more money on a better product. The chopping is definitely adequate but requires operator precision to get the right size of "chop". The Shredding works well for what makes it past the blade, but inevitably some ends up remaining above the blade in unfortunate sized chunks. The slicing works, but the slices are not always appetizing looking and there'a no way to adjust the thickness of the slices for different foods. The machine definitely does what it says it will do for an exceptionally good price, but if you are looking for some elegantly prepared food, you are going to need some exceptional skill :-)

This Food processor is easy to assemble and use but it is quite loud. I know many people are sensitive to noises, well you might not want this one. I think the price is great and i don't mind the loud noise because i do not use it too often.
