Hamilton Beach (31126) Toaster Oven, Convection Oven Reviews

Appearance-wise they look very similar and their price as well. I thought the 31127D is newer because the number 27 but on the Hamilton Beach website, there’s a “new” tag next to 31126D. The 31126D have a “convection” function (unlike 31127D) next to the bake, broil, and toast dial. My old toaster oven did not have that feature so I thought it would be something new and interesting to have. I really like that roll-top door! It’s attractive. That’s another reason why I chose this. ***Be aware that the timer only goes up to 30 minutes. My old toaster oven went up to 60 minutes. This is not a big deal to me but might be important to some. When I read the dimension, I thought it sounded really big but it’s just the hump in the back and the front handle that makes it sound bigger than other six slice toaster ovens. ***With the door completely open at the top, the height including handle is about 14.5 inches. Make sure to measure if you have cabinets above your oven! So far, it’s working well. I will update my review in the future if necessary.

We never had anything like this in England! I saw this at my sister-in-law‘s house and I couldn't wait to purchase it after emigrating! And it has not disappointed at all it is exactly what it claims it is. Yes it's a toaster but it also can do things such as pastries frozen pizza, spring rolls, salmon en croutes, pies etc an excellent grill especially useful for quickness or if you're using your main oven for other things. Most impressive is the fact that you can also use it as a convention oven once you switch that feature on and close the lid it will cook through or reheat things such as fried chicken from yesterday's take out thoroughly on the inside and not just toasting it to avoid salmonella poisoning.

When we say a convention oven this generally means that heat is circulated around the peripheral and that is exactly what's happening when the feature is used. So, in other words it does have a convention oven feature for The purpose to cook on the inside whilst toasting feature means it toasts to create golden toppinfgs of bread and pastries and cheeses. As for heating, it gets warm but doesn't feel too hot to touch on the outside and one must place it in a sensible location to avoid mishaps; though it is study and stays in place, it is after all an item that will get very hot on the inside.

We weren't blown away by this toaster oven's performance but we weren't dismayed by it either. It performed decently well in our cooking tests and it gives you a fair amount of space to cook with. The roll-top door makes it easier to remove your food without burning yourself.

Simply the best model possible,, previously owned a convection toaster oven with traditional pull down door, worked ok except for the few times my arm hit the door when removing food. The roll top door on this oven is fantastic,,just got it & I've toasted, baked, broiled in it already,,to perfection I might add. This countertop version is as good or better than my reg stove oven.
