I'm very happy with this toaster. It makes good toast quickly and the bread is evenly toasted. The extra wide slots accommodate larger slices of bread bagels etc. The bagel feature does a nice job of toasting the cut side of a bagel or English muffin and the defrost button for frozen waffles or bread is a nice extra. The small size takes up little room on a counter top or in a cupboard. All in all, this is an excellent toaster, [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I recently bought this Hamilton Beach Extra Wide 2 Slot Toaster to replace an old one that died. I am so glad I chose this toaster because I love fat, wide NY style bagels and artisan breads that I cut in fat slices. This 2 slice toaster with extra wide slots toasts my bagels on the cut side just like I like them real brown and toasty while just warming the bottom with out burning it up, never had that before. I usually freeze my bagels after using some fresh and this toaster has a convenient defrost button on the side. The other lighted buttons are Cancel or Bagel. You will find a nice crumb tray on the bottom that catches those little crumbs and easily opens to clean. I like their High-Lifter toast boost that makes it easy to get small slices or pancakes and waffles out without having to dig them out without using a fork or a knife. Another feature is the auto-shutoff which cuts the toaster off after the toast cycle is over to prevent you from having that black toast or burnt bagel that gets stuck and makes you have to start over when you get distracted at the last minute. I like the fact that the sides are also cool to the touch and I don't worry that the little ones will get accidentally burned when they brush by the toaster when they help prepare Sunday brunch. If you are looking for a toaster you can't go wrong with this Hamilton Beach Extra Wide 2 Slot Toaster. Remember "Share a bagel and make someone smile". Just received the Hamilton Beach 2 Slot Toaster. Packaging is simple and easy to open, some products out there take forever. Black and steel accents with some fancy aluminum allow this model to really shine at its pricing point. Simple plug into the wall and you're ready to press buttons. There's a few buttons “cancel”, “bagel”, “defrost” though if you're only roasting toast you won't need to worry about the rest. The knob is quite cool, the feedback ticks as you turn it so you get some nice sound to validate your button turning skills. I tried two main settings, 3 and 5 between lowest and highest. I'd highly recommend that you first do a non product press for setting 3 to get the new electronic smell out, believe that's common with any heating device. Otherwise depending on your toast preference settings will have to be adjusted depending on the type of product you out in to toast to perfection. With my photos you can see I achieved some great results, I probably did about 20 slices to test multiple uses in a row and it worked flawlessly every time. Really great toaster, aesthetically pleasing to the eye and perfect small form for your small or large kitchen. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I love the bagel option, leaves bagels nice and soft on the outside and toasty on the inside. It took me awhile to get the temp setting down. My old toaster was so bad that i was using top temp. This toaster does perfect toast at 2 setting. Only downfall is I keep my bagels in the fridge and it didnt warm up enough on the outside with bagel setting. I have had this for about two weeks now and have made bagels, English Muffins, and toast. The bagel feature is pretty good. Toasts the inside and warms the outside, the bagel fits into the slots well. The muffin and toast came out well. The toaster is lighter than my old one. The Hamilton Beach Extra Wide Slot Toaster arrived just in time. My old toaster was hardly working any more. I love the extra wide slots. It is perfect for bagels. Another nice feature is the toast boost button that lets you lift your items out a little easier. Very nice addition to the toaster. The bagel setting lets you toast the cut side of the bagel while the round side gets warm.Marks are on top of the toaster to show you how to insert bagels.Tried a dinner roll cut in half on the bagel setting. Great. It browned the cut side just a little while heating the rest of the dinner roll. That will be great for making quick garlic bread. Heat the roll then spread garlic butter on it after you remove it from the toaster.Took a few tries to get my toast to the exact browning I wanted, but now is just where it should be. We love this toaster. I do especially for doing bagels where it toast on one side and warms the other side. I wish I had something like this along time ago instead of using a regular toaster. My son loves it where it has a defrost setting for his frozen pancakes He use that setting on his pancakes telling me they come out just perfect every time. It toast your bread perfect if you want it light or dark it depends on how you like your toast. It is very dependable we have used it now for about 2 weeks and we love it. I like the wide slots, being able to lift the handle so the toast is easier to remove, the defrost button for waffles, the unit is lightweight, looks great, perfect toast every time. With the wide slot toaster you can toast anything you want toasted, anyway you want it. I appreciate the simple and accurate controls; the lifter allows me to toast mini bagels. On bagel setting, the cut side of the bagel is toasted and the outside is not as if you broiled the bagel. Perfect. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
