Choosing the right shade to paint your kitchen may be difficult, but choosing your favorite shade of toast shouldn’t be. To eliminate the guesswork, we’ve created the Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Digital Toaster. This digital toaster comes with nine shade choices so you can choose the first setting for light toast, the ninth setting for dark toast, or any setting you desire in between.

Toast is just the beginning. Extra wide slots make this ideal for bagels or slices of artisan bread. A special bagel button allows to you toast only one side of a cut bagel, English muffin or bun if you prefer. Frozen waffles or pancakes aren’t a problem thanks to a defrost button which allows additional time for the food to thaw and heat through.

The Hamilton Beach 2 Slice Digital Toaster is equipped with a toast boost feature, giving breads a high lift to make it easier to reach small slices. And if  food gets jammed, an automatic shutoff feature will turn the toaster off at the end of its cycle.

This attractive toaster is made with a smudgeproof brushed silver finish that won’t show fingerprints. So go ahead and keep it on the counter. Stylish and versatile …now that’s Good Thinking.

THE BRUSHED STAINLESS STEEL IS GREAT LOOKING AND IS EASY TO CLEAN. THE SLOTS ARE WIDE ENOUGH FOR BAGELS, MUFFINS ETC. IT DOES TAKE AWHILE TO GET USED TO THE SETTINGS TO GET YOUR TOAST OR MUFFIN TOASTED. YOUR HAVE TO CHANGE THE SETTINGS FOR THE DIFFERENT ITEMS YOU TOAST. I TRIED THE DEFROST MODE A COUPLE OF TIMES, BUT ENDED UP WITH STALE MUFFINS INSTEAD OF JUST DEFROSTED AND TOASTED MUFFINS. DID TRY IT A COUPLE OF TIMES ON DIFFERENT SETTINGS BUT STILL ENDED UP WITH DRY MUFFINS. DID LIKE HOW IT TOASTED TOAST! IT TOOK A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT TRIES TO GET THE SETTING NUMBER RIGHT TO GET THE TOAST TOASTED WITHOUT IT TURNING OUT HARD. AGAIN, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE SETTING FOR DIFFERENT KINDS OF BREAD. ITS GREAT THAT'S IT IS DIGITAL SO YOU CAN REMEMBER THE NUMBER ONCE YOU FIND THE ONE YOU WANT FOR TOASTING. IT IS EASY TO CHANGE THE SETTINGS. YOU JUST HIT PLUS OR MINUS TO CHANGE THE SETTING. SO THE PROS OF THIS TOASTER ARE: BRUSHED STAINLESS FINISH THAT IS EASY TO CLEAN, WIDE SLOTS FOR BAGELS,MUFFINS AND THICK SLICES OF BREAD. IT ALSO HAS AN EASY SLIDE OUT CRUMB TRAY. CONS: DEFROST

This Hamilton Beach Digital Toaster is a really nice toaster. I love the chrome finish because it does not show finger prints. It is also cool to the touch on the sides, just do not touch the tip because that part does but it is also where you put the toast in so it is supposed to get hot. I toasted bread and I just had to experiment with the numbers to get my desired darkness. It only took two tries. I do not like my toast very dark so I only put it on number three. Number two was a little bit too light. I did try bagels in it and they toasted up nicely. Light brown on one side and it also defrosted them as well. The extra lift that the lever has to raise the items up makes it easier to get smaller things out of the toaster. I also was able to toast pop tarts in it with no problem at all. The toaster has a tray underneath to empty crumbs. It also has a long cord that stores away under the toaster so it is out of the way when storing it. Only thing is the plug part has to stick out because it does not sit level if you try to put under it. Some people have said that the darkness numbers reset after each use but it has not with me, only when I clear it. I also have not went over number four when using either. I would definitely recommend this toaster to my family and friends. In fact, a friend already said when she gets her house, she was buying herself one. I have always had a good experience with Hamilton Beach products and I will continue using them in the future.

My old toaster had started to develop problems with it functionality. I delayed buying a new one because most of the newer ones are not that impressive to look at. At first, this toaster looks like it could be a little ‘retro' in appearance. I was not sure how it would look on my counter, with the other counter-top small appliances. However, I found the concept of a ‘digital' toaster to be intriguing. When looking at the toaster's box at home, I still was not sure if I would be comfortable with its appearance on my counter. But when I positioned it on the counter, it was surprisingly appealing and did not look ‘retro' at all. I really do appreciate the way it looks! The operating instructions for this ‘digital' toaster are so simple and easy. I thought perhaps being digital would make it more complicated. The panel and settings are user friendly and work well. I usually use the whole grain breads that have the wider slices. I had to turn them sideways in my old toaster. This toaster accommodates all the slices in their proper upright orientation. I am so pleased with this toaster and very glad to have gotten it.

A digital Toaster? While waiting for the product to arrive, I could not but wonder what could be made digital about a toaster? Would I need specially sized bread? Metric slices? Who knew. As it turned out, the digital feature is simply a more accurate way to choose a darkness setting for toast. The old analog rotary dial we used for 50 plus years has given way to a much more precise digital scale. It took all of two days of making toast for breakfast to win me over. I used to fiddle with the light/dark knob and repeatedly check to make sure I had toast done they way I wanted. That guess work has been replaced by an accurate digital scale. Once you figure out how you really like your toast, just remember the setting and you are guaranteed repeatable results. That may not sound like much of a difference of the old system, but it is an improvement. On top of the digital controller, the toaster looks stylish and has a cool to the touch exterior. It fits in well with other stainless steel appliances. This is a solid unit that I would recommend when you are looking to replace your old toaster - or even if you are looking for another new gadget for the kitchen - not that I would know that that is like :).

This toaster looks good and works well. The styling is sleek and modern, and it looks nice sitting on my counter, matches the other stainless appliances. It is easy to use, with clearly marked buttons. Don't need to read the instructions to figure it out. It toasts evenly and more quickly than my old toaster. I was also having problems with my old one not popping up all the way when toasting was done, but this toaster pops up fully, making the toasted items easy to pluck out. My only caution might be to those who are trying to fit the toaster into a tight spot. Since the push-down lever is on the end of the toaster, the control buttons are on the side, and the crumb tray removes from the back, you need to be able to pull the toaster out and have some room around it in order to operate it. Perhaps not an issue for everyone, but something to consider if you are tight on counter space. My old toaster had all functions located on one end, so you could leave it one spot and do everything you needed to do with it. I would prefer that on this toaster, but not a deal breaker. It does do a nice job defrosting and toasting, and it looks good, so I hope it lasts a long time.

This toaster was a nice surprise. I really like the look and design of the toaster and so far it's been working great. The bagel setting is awesome, when you push the bagel button it turns off the toasting elements on the outside so only the cut side of bagel gets toasted. That's really the right way to toast a bagel, and much more reliable than putting it under the broiler in the oven. I also like the cancel button. Every toaster I've ever had eventually stopped working because the toast wouldn't stay down. My theory is it's because I'd pop the toast up manually because I like my bread toasted lightly and eventually the catch would ware out. Now with this genius cancel button it turns the heat off and the toast pops up. I'm hoping this will extend the useful life of the toaster. Every toaster is different sometimes the dark setting isn't very dark so when I toasted my first 2 pieces of bread I started off in the middle at 5, it was a little too dark for my taste, I went down to 3 but that was still a little dark for me I'm very happy with 1 and 2. It does a good job for the most part in toasting, there was a slight problem on the inside or center side of the toast it's darker at the top and lighter at the bottom while the outsides are toasted evenly top to bottom. You can see it in the picture I posted one piece of toast shows the outside while the other shows the inside and you can see that the top of the inside is a little darker than the bottom. It's not a big issue for me but I thought I should mention it and It could just be a fluke with this toaster. I do like the thaw button, it made a big difference on frozen waffles, they came out with crispier edges and a more even cook. I will be using that for toaster waffles from now on. I really like the digital control panel, I just don't like where it's located. I have to turn the toaster sideways to access the control panel and I have a severe shortage of cupboard space. If the control panel were on the front of the toaster it would make it a lot easier. That's really the only thing I'm not crazy about, otherwise I really like this toaster and how it works. I also like the brushed aluminum and it does not get hot on the outside when you're using it. The best thing about having brushed aluminum is it's easy to clean, it looks nice and it will go with any decor, so if you change colors in your kitchen you don't need to replace an appliance that fits in with everything. It has a kind of retro look but it's also modern. I wouldn't hesitate recommending the Hamilton Beach Digital Toaster to my friends or family and I also think it would make a great wedding gift and would perfect for the dorm room.

This is a review of the Hamilton Beach Digital Toaster, 2 slice capacity. I received this free to try and review from the Spark Review Program. This model has a smudge proof finish that doesn't show finger prints. There are extra wide food slots for Bagels and frozen waffles. There is also a programmable button for Bagels and a defrost button for frozen items. They do not suggest putting pop tarts in the toaster because of the fillings inside. I particularly like the shade selector button to toast from light to dark, from 1 to 9. These buttons light up in blue when activated. There is a “C” to cancel or end a cycle. The lighted display will go out after the cycle has finished. A removable crumb tray for easy cleaning of crumbs. I received this today, and my husband has already tried it out. This toaster looks nice in my kitchen. I have several Hamilton Beach appliances. They make excellent products. I also like their customer service. A nice looking toaster that does a great job toasting!

Hamilton beach toaster 2 slice Hamilton Beach toaster is designed to handle two slices of bread, bagels, waffles, English muffins, etc. The slots are extra wide. The toaster has extra features besides just toasting your bread. In addition to toasting, the toaster can defrost, wide range of settings for darkness of toast, automatic shut off and cancel function. The The brushed finish on the Toaster is gorgeous, it has a nice clean look. I love any appliance that makes it harder to see fingerprints. The brushed pewter look is also very nice looking. I have this brushed look on all of my bathrooms and kitchen fixtures. The Hamilton Beach toaster also has a slide out crumb tray for easy clean up.The cord is 2"8" feet long and weighs 3.5 pounds. This toaster is very easy to use. Once you press down the handle the shade selector is brightly illuminated. Another person said that once you select a shade that you want it goes back to the original number eight. I do not find this to be true. It stayed at the last number I picked Two cons for me: My other con is that I would prefer this toaster to be a 4 slice. Pros: This toaster is beautiful looking, smudge proof surface, a large variety of darkness settings for the toast, can hold bagels and large slices of bread and I would recommend this toaster to everyone. This toaster is as close to perfect as a toaster could get.

Cool toaster. I guess if i was the one marketing this toaster i would of put a piece of toast in one slot and a bagel in the other them took the picture for the box and websites to make sure everyone know toast of every kind can fit in this toaster, not just bagels. Looking at the box picture it is very hard to judge what else will fit. Arrived very quickly. Packaged very well as to avoid damage in shipment. Took it out and looked at the instructions. One flaw is it did not say what number setting was for each like explain how toasted each number was. I thought that was weird but not hard to figure out. It said for things like bagels to put the cut side facing the middle of the toaster. Smudge proof. Honestly i find that beyond cool. When i plugged it in i thought it was broken because nothing came up on the display the didital numbers that is. How was i suppose to program it? I put toast in and the didgital display came on when i pressed down for the toast to go in. Then i was able to program it to the setting i wanted. I would of liked to do that first but okay. Set it to three. That was a light to slightly medium toasting for anyone who wants to know. Toaster is taller then a regular size. The outside was warm on the sides but cool enough no one would burn their hands like if a child touched the outside. One nice thing is the crumb tray comes completely out with ease. Automatic shut off even if your bread gets jammed. Bagel setting, defrost setting said that when pressed it goes from defrost to toasting the bagel. The nice feature i like is the 'C' button. Cancel button. Instead of lifting the handle to cancle a toasting like the old days you now push the c and it pops up and turns off. Nifty. The handle has an extra lift feature so it will lift your food extra high when done so your not having to put yourfingers down in there to get your hot food. Took a minute to see all the wires get hot orange but the toast was evenly toasted. I would highly recommend this toaster. Extra wide slots length and width to allow for just about everything to be toasted. I would say for a toaster it really does do everything it needs to get the job done.

I really appreciate the styling of this toaster. It has a bit of a retro look to it, and the brushed stainless surface is very clean and nice looking. It doesn't smudge like the box says, and I didn't even wipe it after handling it to take photos. Its design is compact so that it doesn't take up much counter space. But the best feature, in my opinion, has to be the wide slots for bagels and the “food boost” that makes getting smaller pieces of food out of the toaster slots easier. (See photo for the example of this feature.) The controls are well lit and thankfully not complicated. The settings for the “degree of toastiness” are gradual so you can get the perfect shade of golden or a deeper brown without it going from raw to burnt in one setting like my old toaster. And it only toasts the center side when the bagel setting is used, which I really like. Lastly, there is one small thing I would change. When you push down the lever, sometimes the opposite side of the unit lifts from the counter top. So I will probably get in the habit of holding down the opposite side while pushing the lever down. While this is merely annoying, it is the only thing I would change about this toaster.
