I bought this oven about 90 days ago and use it every day in the summer and warmer months. While making a baked potato, the oven smelled as though it was on fire. The door stays VERY hot so I turned it off to see if food had spilled into the oven.No. I waited for the oven to cool down so that I could unplug it. The cord was completely burned and my entire electrical board on the wall that the oven was plugged in on had died. I have now had to call an electrician. This scare is awful and should not happen with this small oven-the entire house could have burned down.

We love the oven. The retro look works well in the modern kitchen. The oven temperature is consistent and reliable. The dials have a good feel. It is a little more complicated to learn to use than your typical toaster oven, but with time it's fine. Switching between modes and temperature is the biggest issue (going from toasting bread to cooking chicken nuggets for example). That said, we still love it and recommend it.

I live in a small studio and didn't want to give in to a microwave! This little oven is the best ! Easy to use, beautiful to look at- and cooks like a dream!

I love the Aqua blue on my convection over, it works great! My only issue is that the writing on the actual oven is a light gray that you cant read anything unless you are an inch away. The box shows the writing in Black, and no where in the description does it say that. I emailed KitchenAid on May 15, and they are still researching the issue as to why the letters/numbers are light silver gray and not black. It's been over a month and no reply back. This item is not cheap, none of KitchenAid products are but they are made well, except for the flaw of not able to read your temp.

I was excited about this oven because of all the features but what really pushed me to want to upgrade my old toaster oven was the color. I was incredibly disappointed to find that the oven does not come in the color. The oven door comes in the color advertised. 90% of the oven is unwanted annoying ugly stainless steel. I feel that advertising the product as "aqua sky" and not showing any photos of the rest of the appliance besides the door, leads people to believe that the entire oven would be the color advertised. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about this false advertising

Recently purchased the Kitchen Aid toaster oven in buttercream yellow July 2016. It's a beautiful toaster oven with a throwback to the 60s. It compliments my Kitchen Aid Mixer. The functions are easy to use, preheats fast. The rack is sturdy and looks it place making it easy to remove bakeware. The crumb tray is easy to clean, I couldn't be any happier.

It is pretty large and takes up more room than my previous one but is much easier to use and does a great job with reheating pizza , baking and doesn't heat up the kitchen...kind of like having a double oven. An 8" pie will fit in. The toast takes 3-4minutes and isn't perfectly toasted but is acceptable. It matches my KitchenAid stand mixer and is very sturdy. It is very retro looking, which I like!

I love this countertop oven and would have given 5 Stars if the words on the display were easier to read. The print is way too small and the color makes it impossible to read unless you have a magnifier and extra light. I was really disappointed with this fact and had read it in a review but thought it wouldn't apply to me. I would have purchased it anyway but hopefully KitchenAid will improve this on future appliances.
