This toaster has more features than my 10-yr old toaster that was perfectly fine. I replaced it because I had a kitchen renovation, and you know how that snowballs. The 4 slice toaster is attractive, has settings for bagels, reheat, keep warm, and defrost. There is a high lift lever to raise the toast, so no need to jam a knife down it to lift the toast. A pleasant alarm sounds when the toast is ready, and an easy bottom crumb tray pulls out to easily clean. My old toaster was usually shaken upside down over the sink! So, I am thrilled with this one. The reviews mention the inconsistent toasting. True, the toast is not perfectly browned, but that doesn't matter to me. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
