I've always wanted a kitchenaid mixer and I am do glad I bought this one. Ihave used it a lot in the few short weeks I've had it. I've made bread, cookies, cakes and whipped cream. It's made baking and mixing so easy! I'm in love. And a great deal with the refurbished model. My first time buying refurbished and it did not disappoint. This is my 5th KitchenAid Mixer in my 40+ years alive. My first one was a hand me down from my Grandmothers, which I still have and still works. I owned a Bakery for 9 years and had 3 Artisan Mixers for smaller tasks, which were used daily and functioned brilliantly (you name the tasks, the KitchenAid mixer conquered it). I can't believe I waited until my 40s to buy this machine. It makes baking/mixing/prepping so much easier. It makes me realize why I wasn't that into baking - it was all the standing there with the hand mixer. This is so much easier and I can set it and forget it. This purchase was a manufacturer's refurbished 5qt Artisan stand mixer. Because this product was refurbished by KitchenAid, I Was confident the mixer would look and perform as a new one! And, I was correct! The Artisan mixer was meticulously remanufactured by KitchenAid craftsman it looks and works as new, it is flawless! It is so rare in today's world that consumers get what they expect, KitchenAid is one organization which always will meet and exceed a consumers expatiation. I received this mixer for Christmas from my brother and sis-in-law, and immediately set it up to make mashed potatoes for a Christmas dinner to which I was invited. This was my first experience with a KitchenAid mixer, and I fell in love with the beater bar - no more worries about stopping every minute or 2 to scrape the sides of the bowl! It did a beautiful job on my mashed potatoes - perfect consistency! I look forward to using it again and again, especially each year when making my many, many batches of Christmas cookies.
