I bought this online thru kitchenaid over a month ago..it did not toast the toast..only felt dryer when done. Contacted Kitchenaid to return the toaster over a month ago and still waiting for them to send me a return label.... (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

We bought this to replace an older inline Kitchen Aid toaster that we really liked but the plastic casing had developed some unsightly cracks over the years. It still works very well and must be over 10 years old. The new toaster is extremely slow to toast compared to the old. It essentially only toasts on the highest setting. If you press the button that is meant to toast darker it simply pops the toast out right away. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

We had our first 2 slice toaster as a wedding present in 1997 and it when it stopped working we wanted a new one from Kitchen Aid. We looked up online this new one and loved it. Our new toaster getting used 3 to 5 times a day. WE LOVE IT. My 3 kids find this so easy to use. Eggos anyone! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

I?ve only been using this toaster for about 1 month. So far so good. I love the wide slot that allows us to toast long bread slices. The bagel option is a real bonus. Problem: you need a magnifying glass to be able to make sense of the options menu...it?s very difficult to read: lots of guessing and finger crossing required to make toast. I am so happy with this toaster. The bagel setting toasts my morning bagel perfectly. The defrost setting toasts my husband's waffles without scorching. It is also great for oversized artisan bread slices. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Love the slim footprint and minimalist design. The best part is the single long toasting slot that is perfect for the longer slices of toast. I mean who doesn't love a toasted slice of sourdough!!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this a couple of weeks ago to toast my gluten free bread. We use both white and whole grain breads of various sizes. After experimenting with the three types we like, we found that the regular shape loafs worked the best, which were the ones we toasted every time because they are ugly un toasted. The type we ate without toasting in the past also toasted up nicely. That loaf is longer and not as wide so we have to push the lever up a little to get the slice out. But the GF dark is really good toasted and fits this toaster much better than my old one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Got this toaster for Christmas, and I love it. The shape allows me to move it against the back of the counter when not in use, taking up less space. I can also easily toast weirdly shaped breads since it's one long slot, and it's always evenly toasted. Love this toaster and all its features. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I toast long slices of sour dough bread for breakfast. I have to set the toasting level all the way up to high. The ends of the bread get lightly browned and the middle has no color at all at the end of the cycle. If I toast it again to get the middle browned -- the ends get burned. So I break the bread in half removing an end that is "done" and put the balance of the piece back in for a second toasting making sure to place the undone middle section towards an end of the toaster slot. My son told me he never knows what to expect when the toast is done. I may as well be toasting my bread over an open fire -- about as reliable a result. Please note the position of the toasting control is set on high. The other side of the bread looks the same.

What really drew me to this toaster initially was that it matched my matte black stand mixer , where very few of the toasters do! Our toaster was pretty old and was a cheap buy years prior so it was time for an upgrade. I read a ton of reviews to make sure I wasn't getting too many features I wouldn't need and I didn't want it to take up too much counter space since our kitchen is on the smaller side in our rental. This toaster is great bc it is pretty thin ,since the slots aren't side by side like a traditional toaster , but rather it has one long slot for both pieces of bread or longer breads ! I can have it against the wall when not in use and lose very little workable counter space , then just pull it out when I need it .. I will say, the buttons aren't 100% clear as to their function when you first get it and I found myself looking at the instructions booklet a couple times to remember which buttons meant what.... I also seemed to keep wanting to use the shade control lever as the actually up/ down lever the first couple of times I used it ,so that took some getting used to. I love that it had a defrost feature since I'm notorious for forgetting to take spare English muffins out of the freezer the night before I need them etc , and the “ keep warm” feature is also great if whatever I'm toasting is done before anything else I might be cooking. I've seen some reviews that say it takes a few rounds in the darkest setting to get a dark toast... I can't really speak to that too much because I am fine with how things turn out when I've got it set to the medium to dark setting and I don't like super dark toast anyway. The crumb tray is removable for easy emptying and it's a simple push - in to release and then push back in to lock back in place, which is nice because there's no handle or lip sticking out or anything , adding to the sleek look. . I definitely went after this toaster initially for the aesthetics of it , but I've been really pleased with the functionality of it as well! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
