I have always been a huge fan of KitchenAid but I will never buy any of their products again. I received a food processor as a wedding gift 25 years ago. I used it until it was worn out and over it. Once again I was given another and had no problems other than the blade hit dull and was unable to get it sharpened or even buy a new one even through the company. I was given one last year as a gift and absolutely hate it! The things I hate about the processor are: The chute to put food through to the shredder. It's too small, you have to cut to fit in small mouth and the plunger - it doesn't go down far enough so the last inch of what ever is in the tube either ends up gummed up inside the lid (cheeses) or cut into uneven, odd shaped pieces. And the device fir the chute is 3 pieces and the main part has to stay inside to maintain contact or it work. Stupid!! When trying to chop foods (like parsley) into fine pieces the blade is too high so it doesn't chop the food, it either sits on the bottoms of the bowl or gets pushed to the side of the bowl and out of the blades way. The buttons to push (high, low or pulse) are so difficult to use. If you have arthritis or are weak you will have a hard time using them. The whole unit is so light. While the other processors I had in the past had some heft to them this one is too light and it moves on the counter while struggling to chop/shreds/slice. This are the things that bother me the most and are right on the top of my head. I wish I had the money back so I could buy something better quality. I will never buy KitchenAid products again and that's a darn shame.

We bought this just over a week ago. Used the mini bowl to make some salsa and the main bowl to make pastry. Both came out great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

So very disappointed that I spent so much money on this product. I honestly thought a KitchenAid product would be "cream of the crop"! There is a very significant design flaw in this machine. Food gets caught under the lid and makes such a mess and is nearly impossible to clean out.

The drive adapter snaps into the disk adapter per instructions but there's no directions on how to remove it and the help site does not address this. I can no longer use any blade attachments. Please help!

The 11-cup food processor has been a truly fantastic addition to my kitchen. The selection of blades makes cooking a high quality meal so much easier, being able to control the exact sizing of my slices of vegetables. Being able to quickly shred cheese makes this food processor worth it in and of itself! The inclusion of a storage box for all of the blades also makes everything clutter-free, even with the size of the food processor. I'm excited to continue using this appliance and would highly recommend it to anyone who's searching for a high quality food processor! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is one of the best appliances that I own. I received this foodprocessor as a gift after many months of looking for a processor, Ihave the "food processor attachment " for my kitchenaid stand mixer, I have many of the attachments for my stand mixer, that tells you I am a Kitchenaid junky. But as much as I love the brand, I research each and every piece of appliances that I am interested in before purchase. I have, believe it or not have had ti return Kitchenaid appliances due to malfunction, but the company was very good at making sure that I received my replacement. I bought this a few years ago. I agree with other posters, it is a bad design. A messy design. I don't like how the bowl is designed. Makes it hard to get food out without making a mess. I bought it because of KitchenAids reputation and it was dishwasher safe. Well sort of, the cover gets moisture and food in it and it does not dry out. It's pretty gross, so gross I don't like using it. There is no way to take it apart and clean it either.

I bought this about a year ago and have complained each time I've used it. Today I decided to write my first product review. Like so many others, I had had great faith in KitchenAid products. I wonder who was involved in the design of this one. It seems they went out of their way to add as many little seams, nooks and crannies as they could, just to see how many places you can get food stuck. It is impossible to reach all of these places to clean—never mind that you are you loosing some of the food from your recipe—I've resorted to toothpicks and bottle brushes to try and get it in there. Today I saw mold in some of those places that I can't reach and that the dishwasher likes to have particles settle in. You may be able to see some of the problem areas on the attached photo of the (mandatory, it won't operate without it) feed tube. As noted by others, the motor has also stopped when processing not too demanding dough. I regret buying this and will now think twice about any KitchenAid product.

This machine does what it claims....chops, slices, etc. But it is a pain in the butt. If you have a small and quick job like chopping nuts or shredding a few carrots you still have to assemble the four piece lid and then take it apart and wash each piece as they are all exposed to the food. Large Chunks of food even whole mini carrots get stuck under the rim of the lid wasting food product and making cleaning even more tedious. Water gets under the black portion of the lid that never fully dries.....mold? Not cool. Also, carrots stained the clear plastic after the first use, despite using vinegar, dishwasher, hand washing.... I find myself not using it if I need to process just one thing because of the hassle of taking it apart and cleaning the whole thing....which takes way more time than chopping by hand....I feel like if you get this complex food processor you'll also need to invest in a mini food processor with less pieces and cleanup. I want something large capacity but easier to use and clean with less pieces necessary. I don't want to have two food processors! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
