I stopped using a blender for years because my old one was an utter mess to use. We had more on the counter afterewards than in the blender. Then I bought this kitchenaid blender recently and it has been a wonderful new addition to our home. I love the features including the sealed compartment, quietness. ease of washing, and the measuring cap on the lid! I keep it on the counter for quick access and clean-up is fast and easy!! Received this blender as an Easter gift from my sister in 2018. We didn’t use it until mid this year because we moved. It was out of warranty. Upon this first use, we heard an abnormal grinding sound inside the drive chamber. Upon checking inside, the motor mounting was sheared off and the motor fan damaged. I was able to buy a replacement lock jar. The motor is still ok but the damaged fan is not available as a separate part. I need to buy a whole and expensive drive motor as a replacement!

I use to have a cheap blender and it died after 1.5 years. I decided that I would look into investing in a better blender & after doing some research, I ended up choosing this blender. I use to think all blenders were pretty much the same, I was so wrong! First thing I looked at was the bottom because with my old blender, if I didnt put it on exactly the right way, the mechanism that turned the blades became stripped and would shave off plastic on the bottom and i would have plastic shavings fly everywhere (and a majorly stinky burning smell) as I blended. The mechanism on this blender is made of a very hard plastic and the top locks very securely into the bottom. Some of the negative comments i read about this blender when I was researching was that the top was hard to take off. Although I wouldnt say it is "hard" necessarily, I would say that it locks into place very well and you do have to apply pressure when rotating the top to take it off after you have finished blending. I do not look at this as a negative though! I will never have the stinky shavings with this one! I love smoothies! Its mainly what I use the blender for. I was blown away at how quickly it blended up all the frozen fruit! Literally in seconds! My old blender would take a couple minutes (and i thought that was fast!) The shape of the blender is wonderful, it makes it so easy for no spill pouring. Even though my old blender had a spout, this blender has a triangularish shape on one side that guarantees no spilling which is fantastic for anything thick because it doesnt always come out in a steady stream when pouring out. There were many times that too much would come out at once with my old blender and it wouldnt all make it into the cup, that has never happened with this blender! I have had it for a month and a half and I am super happy with this purchase. It is easy and efficient and i can put it in the dishwasher. I wish I would have invested in a quality blender way sooner!

After looking at Ninja products and the popular stuff on the market, I realized those personal blenders don't have much room, and not as much power as I was looking for. Trying to go all organic and blend daily, this KitchenAid blender has proven to be the winner! It is powerful and simple to use, its 5-page mini instruction guide can even tell you what combination of settings to use in order to create various types of blends (nut butters vs smoothies, soups vs baby food, raw foods and lettuce, etc). I can blend frozen fruits, raw spinach and ripe bananas all together and the result is a (very smooth) smoothie! It's easy to clean, too, and I clean by hand. While it sometimes takes a little strength to unlock the blender from its base when you're ready to pour, it proves to be safe and sturdy due to this locking feature. I have been using this blender 5x/week for about two months without issue. And for those with a noise concerns - all blenders are relatively loud. I'm not sure why 'noise level' is a consideration when looking into blenders, at all (don't bother). Also great - the blender comes in a variety of colors, and this orange or 'tangerine' blender is true to the color displayed online! A great product I would buy again if ever the need should arise.

I was in the market for a new, powerful blender. I wanted one specifically to make healthy smoothies. This 5-speed diamond blender is perfect! It has a ice-crushing mode that is incredibly powerful. It is only 2 pieces (3 including the lid), that is easy to use and to clean--which is another Very important feature when you want to use an appliance often. I made one of my favorite recipes: Kale, mango, banana, ice smoothie. It came out divinely silky, smooth!

This Kitchenaid blender is an awesome product. I've hesitated for purchasing a blender for a long time. Because there were just too many brands and very pricy. After I read all the online review, I bought this machine and I am very satisfied. It creates delicious veggie smoothie. Now I don't need to go to smoothie places outside. I love the design of this product.a lot. It is also easy to clean too. I wish it is a little bit more quieter but this is an affordable price and does the work. I definitely recommend this product.

I bought this blender about a month ago and I absolutely love it. This blender gets used at least 4-5 times a week. I use it to make different types of smoothies for myself and my kids, salsas, sauces, and soups. It even came with a recipe booklet that had other great ideas and uses that I wouldn't have thought of. I wanted something that had a good blade to crush down ice and purée for a smooth texture and this machine does just that! I got it in the empire red to match my other kitchenaid appliances.
