Luma Comfort (IM200W) 28-Pound Ice Maker Reviews

I bought this 28 lb ice maker about a year ago. My whole family loves it. I have purchased other ice makers in the past. I was disappointed with all of them. I have not been disappointed by the ice this one makes. I would buy it again where as I wouldn't buy any of the others again. My only issue with this ice maker came recently after I unplugged it to clean it. When I plugged it back in, the water now drains from the back reservoir to front. It stays there. It will completely drain all water from back, even if this overflows everywhere. I have turned it off, unplugged it for a while to allow it to reset and I even cleaned it again (including the filters /screens). I'm not sure what else to try. I can't afford to have a repairman look at it. I also no longer have my proof of purchase for the warranty. Plus it's right at the one year mark. I would definitely recommend this ice machine to anyone looking for a nice small family size ice maker!

Followed all the instructions in the user manual. Have tried two cycles already and all it does is make a giant slab of ice that doesn't come off the ice holder. Instead, it just keeps building the ice slab thicker and thicker... There are scratches on some of the parts inside. Looks used.

I purchased a Newair icemaker a year ago. Just recently the machine quit making ice. No water was flowing over the plate. I contacted Newair support and made contatact with Elizabeth M. She was so friendly and helpful it made my day. She agreed that the problem was probably the water pump. Being as the unit was just barely a year old she wavied the shipping costs. I replaced the pump and now the machine is working as good as new. Exceptional service. Thank you so much

So far so good. This is a great icemaker that makes very clear ice. when using Reverse osmosis filtered water. Easy to use. Hope it holds up well!

We absolutely love our ice machine. Living in Arizona, we constantly have water bottles to fill by day, and cocktail glasses to fill at night. :) Seriously, my family of 4 all have 40 oz water bottles that we fill with ice water each day, then we are icing various other teas and sodas through out the day..then a couple of us enjoy evening cocktails. This thing keeps up with the ice demand, no problem. We have had people over, and the ice machine just keeps pumping out the cubes. It really is a great machine, and well worth the money.

This portable ice maker works great and fast! Not having to have a water hook-up makes it very easy to take camping and for family/friend gatherings. I have been using mine for a little over a week now and have had no problems at all. You can turn it off and allow the ice to all melt then just turn it back on when you are wanting ice again. The ice that melts just goes back into the water tank. Great product! Love it!

I LOVE my new Luma Comfort Ice Maker! I bought a fridge without a freezer and I love that I still get ice! It's quick, makes a ton of ice and can come along for parties anywhere. It can hum a little loud for such a small machine, but I keep mine in the laundry room, so it's no bother. Definitely recommend! LOVE the clear ice!

My Luma has been a valuable addition to the household. Perfect for BBQ's and parties. No need to worry about ice. It's quiet and does indeed make clear ice. The speed of which it starts popping out ice is pretty incredible too. Even if you forget to get it started you'll have ice in 12-15 minutes anyway.

I love this ice maker, I was using it all summer and it saved so many trips to the market at all my summer parties. I even had friends that wanted to borrow it. It makes tons of ice and it's very easy to use.
