This is a big 14” round grill. I thought I’d need a 2nd one for our family, but it is plenty big.

It heats up fast and actually sears the meat AND it really is smokeless! Plus it is so easy to clean (can disassemble). We easily fed our adult group of 7. So fun!

A great value for the product. The heat is adjustable up or down which works fine for grilling KBBQ.

Buying one for my sister!

Awesome grill to have if you don't have a spot for an outdoor grill. It gets hot enough to leave some nice sear marks which is what I was missing from my George Foreman grill. Its really easy to use, lightweight, and clean up is super easy. Have made burgers, hot dogs, kabobs, carne asada, and teriyaki chicken and they all came out great. I would recommend spraying the pan with some non stick spray to make clean up a lot easier.

 I could not wait to bust this thing out! Grilled some BBQ porch chops, I did cover with the lid for a few to make them nice and tender!! Now we can have grilled meat wo the Texas heat!! Fixing to order more for Christmas gifts. And the price???? Is perfect!!

This is a great indoor griller with almost ZERO smoke ! And it’s only $30!

The tray was easy to clean afterwards and the temperature control is so amazing. The grill heats up really fast and cools down fast too so it wont burn your food.

This griller was definitely bigger than expected and it came with a sturdy lid (you have to assemble it yourself, super easy) which was great!

Definitely going to be using this more for gatherings and family meals. Love it !

My only complained is The Box is Rip and the bottom is dinted due to rough handling during shipping.

So glad I waited and finally got this product. It kept being out of stock. I love it, so far I’ve cooked burgers, asparagus, salmon, bacon, sausage dogs, on it.. it’s very easy to clean all the grease etc comes right off. And I like how there’s a cup for all the oil juices to go in. (For easy wash) May not give you that charcoal taste lol but def recommend

I gave this to my mom who lives alone and she wanted to have a small grill so she can grill her veggies and protein. She calls me everyday thanking me for this indoor grill. SHe loves it !! is great quality and it works amazing.. very little smoke in the house too!

Update: After not receiving a knob, I found their customer service line and was able to get in touch with someone about the missing part. They replied within a day and stated my grill was under warranty, so they sent me the part free of charge! They said it would originally take 3-4 weeks, but it came within one. I appreciate the prompt service!

After being able to use the grill twice, I can say it is 100% worth the money. It heats up very quickly and is a breeze to clean up. I wipe it with a paper towel and the grease just slides right off (followed by actual sanitizing, of course). Everyone who sees it is impressed and wants one of their own! My only complaint is the chord length. My first time using it, I had to have it at the very edge of the table to plug into the outlet right next to the table. I got an extension cable for it and it's fine, but it's just a little annoying to have to buy a separate thing for it. All in all, it's a great product that I would recommend. It just needs a little help and for the price point, it's bearable!

Original Review: I received mine without the cool touch knob for the lid, making the lid a hazard. I havent been able to properly test the cooking because of this. Please work on quality control.

Has been 2 months since ordering this indoor grill and I swear it’s been used and abused so many times already and it’s still holding out strong haha. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Perfect size for my family. We use it mostly for homemade Korean BBQ! Definitely recommend.

As soon as we got this we used it for a Korean Style BBQ with veggies and variety of meats. It maintained a consistent temperature and was easy to use on the table top. Did not smoke up the house and cooked our meats (chicken, pork, steak) to perfection. Our veggies also came out great. I am so glad I chose this one. Was good value for the price.

Before washing it, use paper towel remove most of oil first, it will make the washing easier.

I use this for Korean bbq and it works perfectly!! It really is smoke free and soooo easy to clean! I highly recommend!

This was a hit with the kids on our Thanksgiving dinner!!! We did korean bbq style. We had lay out everything and they just get what they wanted to eat and cook it! Oh boy they keep saying "this is fun! Why we only start doing it now!?" And they been asking when are we doing it again.??? My kids loved it so much we did the same thing the next day and day the after?

Was replacing another grill like this due to scratches on the non stick surface. Love to grill salmon and chicken even vegetables . It's very easy to clean and has a large cooking surface. Really good value for the price. Always use plastic spatula to move food on grill. Once the surface is scratched, studies have shown that it could be cancer causing.

I was very skeptical in purchasing this item but once it arrived we immediately tried it and I was beyond shocked at how well it works. Perfect for at home KBBQ! We have fire alarms in the house and it did not set it off not even once! I did realize that once it reached the temperature that you set it for, it turns off for a while then turns back on when it the temperature decreases. It's a smart idea to have if you don’t want to be spending $$$ 100 and dollars of money and by having KBBQ at home! Easy to take apart and clean as well. Definitely 100% recommending this!

This is an absolutely remarkable grill. I was so surprised at its ample size, even and effective cooking. I recently had a dinner party and made 12 skewers of chicken kabobs with veggies at one time, and they cooked quickly, were delicious, and made a big hit. More importantly, the grill cleaned up beautifully with a dish rag and soapy water. My mother was so impressed with the grill that I ordered one for her. Finally, this grill was an incredible bargain. After researching and using grills of many brands and much higher prices, I cherish this one the most.

Overall great product. I waited to review after we used it a couple of times and I have nothing but praises. The temperature was even across the plates. Sometimes I buy indoor grills and you know you have this one side that heats up faster. Well that is not the case of this. I also love the fact that it comes with a lid. The drain system works great, coming off the sides and into the container. I have no cons for this product.

GET IT! If you're even thinking about it... GET IT! I LOVE this thing!! (Maxi-Matic EMG-980B Indoor Electric Nonstick Grill) I'm in the Pacific NW where it's cold and/or rainy more often than not. My home currently doesn't have a covered patio (can't decide what I want yet lol), so I ended up selling my nice outdoor grill to a friend because she & her family would use it year round. In the meantime, I MISS grilling so I purchased this... PLEASE do not forget to lightly spray it every time with oil (I use avocado oil) before grilling anything!!!!! ... grilled shrimp, steak, mushrooms, asparagus... SUPER easy to clean, even has a little drip tray :) Temp goes from warm to hot... it smokes a little if there is any liquid on your food (frozen shrimp, butter on steak, olive oil on veggies, etc), so I just put it on the counter next to the stove & turn the fan on - voila! no issues there! I keep trying to think of a con... if I HAD to say one, it'd be that it needs and 18"x 4.5" space, be it on it's side or down flat. Keeping the box is best... I put it back in the box then set it on it's side in the pantry. You won't be disappointed! :) Of course nothing beats grilling outdoors, but this indoor grill is a SUPER close second!

This grill is great. I got it because it had a lid, which I am glad I did to minimize oily spatter.

I do wish it was smaller, since I only cook for myself but because of its ease of cleaning, easy to use and of course its lid for me it’s a great product.

I seriously love this thing. I will cook with this over my cast iron grills and any of my other cooking smallwares. It is SO easy to clean and use. It does not create a lot of smoke which I was worried about living in an apartment. Also love that it comes with a lid.

Sometimes I just dont feel like dealing with my outdoor grill. This is a nice alternative to get the grill factor indoors. I dont feel like the rim of the g gets as hot as the center. Its doesnt clean grizzle off as easy I thought it would. But for the price I feel good about purchase. Good test to see if I want to invest in something more expensive.

This is the best investment I made on a cooking gadget. I thought it would take longer to grill meat but I finish up grilling errthing in minutes and cleans up so well. I love this thing and everything I cook tastes awesome. I am a kind of person who doesn’t know how to cook vegetables well...always overcooks them...this thing grills them perfectly for me with the littlest amount of oil. I just appreciate the effort that went in to making this thing that simplified my whole existence. Love Love Love

i was surprised at the size of the actual grill when it came, it was bigger than I expected and is definitely good for 2 to 4 people. it doesn't make too much smoke, and is perfect for indoor grilling. I used it in my apartment and it did not trigger the fire alarm. you can grill almost anything on it, and meats cook evenly. make sure to cut your meats thinly if you want to cook it faster. this is perfect for korean barbecues but i have also grilled hamburgers using this product. all in all, good quality, well-made, easy to clean and well worth your money.

I love in an apartment complex, so all I can do is toast my veggies and meat. I wanted something I would use as a grill for both! Gets hot quickly so be careful! Once you get the hang of it, is awesome! Cooks quickly and evenly.

Since the neighbor 2 doors up exploded a gas grill on his deck, grills became a no-no at our complex. This electric grill is a great compromise. It gives a great sear and clean up is fairly easy. Seriously, I don't even miss my gas grill anymore. It is not as much fun as all the firetrucks and fire extinguishers, but it is a lot safer.

Bought this because it's summer and everyone is using the grills at my apartment complex. Also it's far from me.

Been able to cook steaks, chickens, hamburgers, bulgogi, kalbi on here so far. Everything turned out amazing and better tasting than just pan searing.

I always cook everything on the highest temperature and let it pre-heat for about 5 minutes before I start cooking.

Cleaning isn't too bad. Just need to let it cool down a bit before hand washing in sink. I always block the electric port with a towel as well to make sure water doesn't get into it.

Overall this is amazing and I have basically done all of my cooking on here since I bought it.

It is bigger than I expected; I like it bc I don't have to use oil to cook with it. I've only used it once so far. my steak was nicely done, but I noticed that it doesn't heat evenly. For this reason I don't give five stars

It has been about 2.5 years now since I have bought it. I had used it at least once a month as we love Korean BBQ. The meat are always heavily marinated with sauce, but it cleaned up easy after use. Now after 2.5 years, it still great, the non-stick surface is like new. Don't be lazy, wash it by hand and just a little detergent not too much and be gentle. Recommend to buy.

A big drag for food prep is not being able to grill when the outdoors is frightful. This grill has solved our family problem of loving to grill meats and vegetables even when it's sub-zero outside. The non-stick surface requires very little oil, which I usually spray on the grill items. The lid helps steam the food items, while the surface receives a nice, pleasing grill marks. The thermostat control works well and quickly heats, so little time or energy is wasted. The clean up is very easy. By the time dinner is eaten, the grilling surface will have cooled for detaching and wipe down or washing. The grill has enhanced our dinner prep and fills a void for winter versatility.

This grill makes it super cheap and easy to do Korean BBQ at home!

We buy vegetables (enoki mushrooms, onion, and leafy lettuce) and thinly sliced meat (pork belly, beef, etc).

After grilling, we dip the meat in a sesame oil + salt sauce and wrap it in lettuce.

It's easy to clean too. Fill the drip tray with some water before grilling for easy cleaning.

Everything can be put in the dish washer, just not the electrical adapter part.

I have noticed that the grill is hotter closer to the electrical adapter, but it can be worked around.

It was also larger than I expected so I had to find extra space in the kitchen to store it.

All in all, I definitely recommend this grill!

I've been pleasantly surprised with this grill. Used it several times a week over the last month and so far so good. Easy to clean unlike the Foreman and this one doesn't dry out your food. It's much larger than expected. Able to cook 5 good size burgers at same time. My only real concern is that the base is plastic so not too confident this will stand the test of time but for the price you can't go wrong

I bought this product based on the positive reviews, which impressed me especially given the price. I used it the very same day it arrived and I've continued to use it nearly every day for something or another. I've made grilled bulgogi, chicken legs, burgers, etc. It heats up very quickly and maintains heat well; one thing I did notice is that adjusting to lower the heat once it is on, it did take a while for it to return to a higher temperature. This was early on when I was trying to figure out the best heat setting for different meats so now that I know, it's not a problem to manage. It cleans up very easily, and also has a little removable tray below a small hole/opening on the outer ring of the grill to catch any crusty bits. Very pleased with this product.

customer support is lovely and sent me an updated model of the grill after the older model didnt meet my needs. so heres my new review on that!

The new model fixes my old issue i had with uneven heating, and now i can cook meats at the back without worrying about the meats at the front burning.

pros:

- even heating

- large cooking space, and lid is the same height everywhere unlike the older model

- grease pan is huge so you dont need to clean it as often if you are lazy like me

- the controls look nicer, entire thing also feels more sturdy

cons:

- its way harder to clean the nooks and crannies now

- the lid is very unstable, feels like it doesnt sit correctly and easily falls into the grill

- smoke isnt contained as well, the older model did a good job lowering smoke from cooking because of the air sealed lid, this one allows smoke to escape through the sides

overall my review stays mostly the same, cause while some things improved, others declined. the biggest drawback from this new model is its lid and the open side ventilation that allows smoke to escape easier. i've already had the lid slip diagonal into the grill because it doesnt sit securely. it is MUCH better at doing its job now though, and i dont have to worry about the poor heating elements!

ill give it a 4/5 for the fact it does do its job better, and for the lovely customer support.

Not bad for $27, seems to grill meat and veggies nicely with the grill marks and all. The outer ring is plastic which was kind of surprising but not really because it's $27. I plan on using this contraption weekly, and will update when it takes a dump.

It's very nice grill. Good size. I really recommend this product. I buy it in March 2018 and We have been use it every week sine then. We are cooking as a Korean style. Our family love to go to Korean BBQ a lot and we was stop going to the restaurant since we have this grill.

We are bought a very very good meat from store and still save a lot of money,

Marinate beef and bacon with Korean sauce in again food zone from King super or Safeway, mushrooms, onions and pepper you also add whatever meat you want.

Cleaning is not too bad need a little bit of work but not to crazy and I always hand cleaning.

It's so much fun cooking with your family and friends in your own place.

This indoor grill is pretty awesome. You have to read the instructions before use or else you wont be satisfied with the product. The first day i received it I made burgers and corn on it, and surprisingly for being an indoor grill it gave the corn and burgers the char marks. It heats up quickly and evenly. The temperature is a little tricky at first, but once you keep using it the more you will get used to the heat. Its also very easy to clean, after I made the burgers and corn, all I did was place it at the bottom of my sink, with some dish soap and hot water running on it for a few minutes and then I left it to soak for an hour, because I was being too lazy to clean it that moment, and the grease pratically just slid right off the grill. Overall great purchase.

- It does smoke a bit but not a lot, my smoke alarms did not go off. Make sure to spray Pam or put oil on it BEFORE you heat it up, because I put it on once it was heat up and thats when I got a lot of smoke.

- Its also pretty big, I thought it would be smaller but its not something that fits in a cabinet, more like on top of the fridge type of thing.

I was looking to replace my George Foreman Removable Plate Grill George Foreman 4-Serving Removable Plate Grill and Panini Press, Black, GRP1060B with something better but at a similar price. The Elite Gourmet Maxi-Matic Electric Indoor Grill Elite Gourmet EMG-980B Maxi-Matic 14-Inch Electric Indoor Grill, Black is just what I was looking for! It doesn't press the juices out of whatever I'm grilling like the George Foreman grill does. I also don't think the George Foreman grill gets hot enough--it seems more like it steams my meat or chicken and can't get hot enough to grill a decent steak. The Elite Gourmet grill gets hot enough to easily sear whatever I'm grilling and it has an adjustable temperature knob so I can grill at whatever temperature I want. I like the glass lid as I can see what I'm cooking--with the George Foreman grill, it's all guesswork There is a drip pan to collect the drippings and it's easy to clean. At 14", it's large enough to easily grill a chicken breast and 12-14 spears of asparagus all at once. I love it!

Since I am trying to do more cooking at home and not eating out a lot, I love Korean cuisine. This was one of the best things I have bought. It heats up quick and the temperature doesn't change, unless you manually do it. We have cooked Bulgogi, Kalbi and veggies and it cooked perfectly. It's much lighter than it looks. Cleaning was easy. I was a little worried from the Korean sauce when it cooks and sticks to the grill. We set up our dining table as if we are having dinner at a Korean restaurant with all the meats and banchan.

I had two different sizes of George Foreman grills, as well as another brand that I was never completely happy with.Almost everything I cooked came out like leather if I got the meat done on the inside. This grill, however, cooks perfectly and I'm very happy with it! I've made chicken twice and both times it was nice and tender and well done without being burned on the outside. I highly recommend this grill! It was much bigger than I expected so that's an added bonus for me.

This silly thing actually works great! My 11 year old son bought it with birthday gift cards to do Korean BBQ night. It was fantastic for that, but we've branched out into hamburgers and other things. If you are a griller who sometimes runs out of time or the weather turns, this is a great option!

Ordered it by accident, wasn't going to use it, as I thought it was a glorified skillet. Was saving it as a gift, when one day I thought, "why not?". It cooks REALLY fast. I actually enjoy using it. It IS pretty good sized. Yes it will do grill marks, as long as there isn't too much liquid/drippings. No, you won't get 'grilled flavour'. Yes it's great, fast, easy, and easy to clean. A pretty good mistake on my part, and an excellent price.

Very large grill you can cook a whole meal for your family. It is easy to clean as the grill part lifts out and you can wash it. It's light and easy to move. Allows you to BBQ inside you home in winter. I'm glad I bought it. I would recommend it to others. Does a good job.
