This was one of the most inexpensive burr grinders I found so I bought it. It's better than the regular grinder that I had. The size of the grinds are more uniformed. I can't compare it to more expensive ones since this was the first burr grinder I ever bought but be prepared for noise. It is loud! And don't use the scoop that comes attached to the brush. It's too small

The hopper, where the unground beans are stored, breaks off. I had to glue it back multiple times. And I noticed grounds leaked out under it. After I purchased a different brand of grinder, I decided to have my son take this one apart. Wow! I was shocked to find the whole inside of this grinder PACKED with old grounds. What a waste of coffee!! I've included pictures of the broke-off hopper and of the underside of the grinder looking inside at all the wasted coffee grounds. How did they even get in there??

This seems to be a common problem with this grinder; it worked okay in the beginning, but it was very messy, coffee gets every where. Nine months after purchasing the grinder it totally stopped working! I only used this grinder about 25 times and always cleaned after each use. The blue light is on; hopper is clear and nothing's obstructing the blades; they turn freely. It seems like the motor is dead. I actually bought 2 of these for my main home and lake home. So far the other one is working, but it's only been used a few times. Wish I would've read the reviews before purchasing.

I have this coffee bean grinder and for whatever reason ground coffee is getting into the housing of the machine. I have had this machine for 3+ years and never had this happen. I keep shaking it and more and more ground coffee keeps coming out. I have enough to make at least a pot and half of coffee so far. The coffee is coming out of the holes at the bottom where the cord winds. I'm not sure what could be wrong with my machine that is causing this too happen. I use it on an almost daily basis. Any feedback about this situation would be appreciated.

We went thru many coffee grinders before we found this one at our local Walmart Superstore and were we every happy! This is a great product to replace the same great product that we absolutely worked to death. We are lovers of really good, freshly ground coffee and this Mr. Coffee burr grinder is the best we've found for any price. And the fact that we could order it direct from Walmart online and have it delivered right to our front door was wonderful for me plus it saved gas and wear and tear on our car. That, for me, is a new and wonderful convenience. As you might have guessed, I'm a first time orderer from Walmart online but I can certainly recommend it as being easy and efficient. Plus, you can find things online that may be out of stock in your store or are either no longer carried in your location. If you're local store is like mine, you can't shop at night because the shelves are always picked clean and empty and the things you want are never there. Not that way online.

I've had several coffee grinders--Sunbeam, Oster, GE. This is by far the best. It's quieter, makes a more consistent grind, is easier to clean, and has a neat way to set just how much coffee you want. When it hits that amount, it shuts off automatically. You don't have to guess how much ground coffee you're going to get. And for heaven's sake, only get a burr grinder like this one. Blade grinders do a lousy job!

I use this for espresso only. This machine got a lot of good reviews so I took a chance. I can return it if it performs poorly for grinding espresso. Well this machine isn't going back! I always had my beans ground from my local coffee shop. Number 2 on their machine which is very fine. Only trouble is a noticeable drying out of the grounds within a few days which produces poor crema. Now with this machine I don't have that trouble anymore. Grind what I need when I need it. I like the fine grind it does. Comparible to what the coffee shop was doing for me (it is on the finest setting to do this). Works perfectly with my espresso machine. I can put 3/4 of a pound of beans in the holder and the lid fits tight enough that I notice no drying out what so ever.

My wife and I are big coffee drinkers, and insist on the best. We had a top brand coffee grinder that "died" after 3 or 4 years, and couldn't find another like it, so we got the Mr Coffee grinder while we looked. We've stopped looking for our "old favorite" coffee grinder!! The Mr Coffee grinder is better than what we had - it's our "new favorite"

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a Burr Mill. This mill does a good job. Several settings for the amount of coffee you want to grind. Plus the grind size you want. I found the mill to be average on the level of noise it makes. The mill does make a lot of coffee dust, but it's easy to clean. Over all a average mill, but you get what you pay for. I would buy another when needed.

I roast my own coffee and am very particular about my grind. When my wife picked up this grinder I was skeptical... I had a much more expensive grinder in mind but I gave it a try anyway. It does a fantastic job and has some very nice features that I really like. First of all, it is a burr mill and not a blade grinder. Blade grinders beat the coffee bean into submission and give very inconsistent grinds. This burr mill does a very nice job. Secondly, this burr mill allows for me to grind up to 18 cups worth of grounds at a time, so if I want to make my coffee very strong I don't have to grind twice. Third, the grind settings are very easy to use and allow me to control my drip time... finer settings give me a slow drip... coarser settings give me a faster drip. I can control the taste of the coffee using these settings. (I prefer a setting slightly finer than the "drip" setting for a little slower drip. Fourth, after buying this grinder I did some research and found a website that rated this as one of the "Top Ten" economical coffee grinders on the market... it was actually rated as #6. Fifth and last, I like the ease of using this grinder and it's durability to date. I put fresh beans in the hopper each morning and hit the grind button for great coffee... it is actually quicker than digging out the old store-bought canister, opening it, and measuring it... and it is much better than you could ever buy in a supermarket. I like it so much that I am buying two more for my kids #who are grown and have their own kids#. I know they will love this grinder and they will be able to enjoy some great coffee.
