Mr. Coffee (SKX20-RB) 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker Reviews

I love Mr. Coffee makers - won't buy anything else, BUT...bought a hard to find white one and loved it. I take care of my coffee makers, too. Bought one on 2/20/2019. It is now May, 2020. Got up, made coffee, walked outside, came back in - nothing. Dead. No brew, no heat on unit. 1-year warranty...too bad.

This is probably about my fourth Mr. Coffee purchase as I have purchased a number of them over the years. It is affordable and I like all the features. Although after a few years they do begin to have problems, the one you just sent is already having problems. For some reason, even after all the water has gone through the system and you've moved from the kitchen to another room to drink it, you can still hear the coffeemaker making hissing/spitting noises, noises that sound like it is continuing to try and brew coffee even though there is nothing more left to brew. The sound may stop for a while, but then you can hear the attempted brewing noises start up again. This goes on until the two hours have passed and it shuts itself off. This one also gets the coffee much hotter than the other Mr. Coffee's I've owned. I feel as though if I ever spilled some on me, I'd be going to the hospital with severe burns. Although I will be saying "No" as to whether I would recommend this item, I'm referring to this particular purchase. Other identical Mr. Coffee systems have been fine. Plus I need white for my kitchen, and white is hard to find these days, so I stick with it. Why don't I return it, you ask? I am older and don't have the kind of strength I had in my younger days, and the system is packed so tightly, I had to totally demolish the packaging with knives and scissors in order to get it out.

My husband bought me a Mr. Coffee at the end if may early June of this year. I always have my coffee made the night before so I can just hit the start button in the morning. I did this yesterday and it wouldn't make my coffee. The green light came on,but nothing happened. No heat, No coffee. This coffee maker should have lasted longer then 3 months.

after using the basic Mr. Coffee maker for years, my wife decided we needed to upgrade to the auto shut off model, since we are getting older and might forget to turn it off. Bought the upgraded model, same great coffee maker and now I don't have to check to see if I turned it off... has anyone seen where I left my glasses!!!!?????

I've had this coffee maker a couple of weeks and it does the job. I like that it is white because my kitchen cabinets and counter top are white and I didn't want dark appliances sitting out. It is not a top of the line coffee maker. I can tell that it is lower quality but it works very well, can't beat the price. The true test will be to see how long it holds up.

I love this machine, but the quality has declined over the past two years. The operation buttons are flimsy and the lid of the machine does not close all the way when the basket is in place. This was my favorite coffee maker for years, but I may look elsewhere when it's time to replace it.

My 12 cup programmable with LED display was purchased 2 months ago to replace same model which went bad. In the earlier coffeemaker, the clock went bad, jumped forward whenever it felt like it. The new replacement died yesterday when the hot plate stopped working. It makes coffee, lights are fine but hot plate is cold. What are my options?

This coffee maker is exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price. It is a basic drip brewer of which Mr. Coffee has been my choice for over 35 years. It has a delayed start feature so you can set it to brew for when you wake up. It also has a 2 hour shutoff as a safety feature. It is precisely what I need to make my daily pot of coffee.

I have been using Mr. Coffee for a long time, however, the ones I had before have extended buttons and have fallen out so preset times did not work-this model is better. If you wash out the carafe regularly and the coffee holder and have the gold insert-it makes a great cup of coffee without spending a fortune. Thanks folks

I bought this coffee maker and had it sent to my daughter 's home as they do not drink coffee and I visit a lot. My husband and I both came for Christmas and used the coffeemaker for the first time...the coffee is great, and trust me, not all coffee makes him happy!! Now I'm thinking of taking it home with me!
